Chrishell Stause, a 43-year-old actress and real estate agent who stars in the Netflix reality show Selling Sunset, revealed to fans in a post on Instagram that her silicone breast implants she got 15 years ago began to leak.

In a caption she posted alongside a video on Instagram, Stause explained that she had gotten a routine full body scan when she discovered that both of her breast implants were ruptured. Worried about potential health complications, she expressed relief when she connected with Dr. Josef Hadeed, a double board-certified plastic surgeon and head of the Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Beverly Hills. Hadeed removed the faulty silicone and replaced the implants 15 years out of date.

Is Selling Sunset canceled?!

Ever since the Netflix reality series premiered in 2019, scandals and drama have made it a success.

A poster for the brand new season of Selling Sunset. (Photo Credit: Netflix) Is ‘Selling Sunset’ getting a Season 8 reunion special?

Selling Sunset produced its first reunion special in 2022 — for the show’s fifth season.

The Netflix hit is not the first reality series to abruptly realize that Bravo had the right idea by filming these post-season discussions.

With Queer Eye‘s Tan France as the host, these reunions have been a success. Which is why viewers are taking to social media to express confusion and surprise at no Selling Sunset Season 8 reunion special.

How Netflix Agreed On A Deal With Selling Sunset Before The Show's Fame
Image
After releasing in 2019, Netflix's Selling Sunset has been instrumental in the streaming service's reality TV sector. The series follows The Oppenheim Group, a brokerage firm around Los Angeles, and its stunning realtors as they sell million-dollar homes while juggling work dynamics and their personal lives. Television Stats shares the series has repeatedly made Netflix's Top 10 shows to watch with every new season, becoming one of Netflix's most successful and entertaining reality shows.

Owners, Brett and Jason Oppenheim, became overnight sensations for their successful firm, but it's their staff that really makes the show the entertaining mess that it is. Cast members like Mary Fitzgerald, Chrishell Strause, and Heather El Moussa became overnight sensations and furthered the show's success. Now in Season 8, how did Netflix and Selling Sunset's creator, Adam Divello, come together?

There Will Be No ‘Selling Sunset’ Season 8 Reunion, Amid Cast Mutiny (Exclusive)
Image
Spoiler Alert: Though this article is a news story, it also contains spoilers for Season 8 of “Selling Sunset.”

The drama among the “Selling Sunset” cast continues to spill out onto social media and in the press, but sadly for viewers, Netflix will not be filming a reunion for Season 8 of the show. Reunions for “Selling Sunset” aren’t ritualized in the way that reunions for Bravo shows are, but after the Netflix series produced its first one in 2022 for Season 5, the cast sitting down with “Queer Eye” star Tan France for a special that drops within two weeks of the season is something that audiences have grown to expect. And after a messy eighth season of the popular real estate show, the castmates of “Selling Sunset” have a lot to discuss in front of their fans — but won’t be doing so. (Netflix’s representatives had no comment.)

The melodrama is manifold.

Selling Sunset (2019)
Warning: This article contains spoilers from Selling Sunset Season 8!

Is Chrishell Stause leaving Selling Sunset after Season 8? That’s the question on fans’ minds after the recent season dropped, and Chrishell had a lot to say about it.

Chrishell has made it crystal clear she’s unhappy with the way Season 8 played out.

Selling Sunset featured Nicole Young claiming that Emma Hernan has been seriously involved with married men.

During Season 8, Emma doesn’t have a chance to address the claims, which sent Chrishell into a social media tirade this week.

In one of her Instagram Stories, the actress declared she wouldn’t work with Nicole again, even if it meant she faced a lawsuit. The actress also called out the production company behind Selling Sunset and executive producer and creator Adam Divello.

Who Really Pays For The Selling Sunset Cast's Excessive Glam?
Image
Your browser does not support the video tag. Netflix only covers glam for confessionals, but the day-to-day looks come out of the realtors' own pockets. The Selling Sunset cast spends thousands on outfits and often borrows to keep up appearances. Wearing certain brands on the show can attract attention, and cast members prioritize looking their best for multiple looks per week.

The glamorous realtors of Selling Sunset are as known for their stunning looks as the million-dollar properties they sell to the rich and famous.

But the extravagant looks and fashion worn by the cast come out of their own pockets. While Netflix covers some of the costs connected to the interviews and talking heads, the day-to-day looks worn by the realtors, which have included Christine Quinn, Chrishell Stause and Heather Rae El Moussa, come out of their budget.

Selling Sunset Producers Once Revealed Why The Show Feels So Fake
Image
Your browser does not support the video tag. Producers edit cast to be exaggerated versions of themselves, creating engaging character arcs. Cast confirmed show is not scripted but "amped up," giving producers creative license. The houses shown on Selling Sunset are real properties, but not all agents are featured.

Selling Sunset is the Netflix reality show about the dramatic and glamorous lives of real estate agents working at the LA branch of The Oppenheim Group. With the over-the-top outfits, feuding co-workers, and romance, how real is this reality TV series, and why do fans and critics think it is so fake?

Premiering in 2019, the real estate-themed reality TV show kept fans glued to the streaming service, but audiences have long questioned the behind-the-scenes aspects of Selling Sunset. The executive producers have hinted that the show might feel fake because it's edited in a way that keeps audiences coming back for more.

Yes, the Properties on ‘Selling the Oc’ Are Real — and They’re Spectacular
Image
Although the reality of Netflix’s “Selling the Oc” — an unscripted series following the personal and professional lives of the owner and agents at successful California-based brokerage the Oppenheim Group — has been scrutinized since it first premiered in 2022, the multi-million dollar homes seen on camera are all truly for sale.

“Most of the time, they are listings that the Oppenheim group already had — whether the agents procure them themselves or they’re with [the brokerage],” Adam Divello, creator of the “Selling the Oc” and its parent show, “Selling Sunset,” told IndieWire.

And it is the stylish way the properties are filmed, with every glamorous detail offering audiences a vantage point of homes different from what they may have seen in the past, that sets the franchise apart from other reality series about real estate.

“We really try to give it our own style. And that was very deliberate from day one,” Divello said,...

Chrishell Stause Accuses Selling Sunset Of Manipulating Drama
Image
As Selling Sunset season 6 has been filming, Chrishell Stause called out producers for creating false narratives within the storylines on the Netflix reality show. For a while now, Chrishell has not been afraid to share how she truly feels about the process of filming Selling Sunset and the behavior of some of her co-stars. While reality TV can be known for creating a false sense of reality, it is not typical for the stars of those shows to call them out for it, especially during filming.

According to Us Weekly, Chrishell took to her Instagram Story recently to share her thoughts about working on Selling Sunset season 6. “The way reality TV producers twist and manipulate things to create a narrative,” she said, then followed it up with some emojis of snakes and trash cans. Chrishell also went ahead and tagged the Done and Done Productions Instagram account, which created Selling Sunset.

Why Selling Tampa Fans Are Upset The Show Was Canceled
Image
Netflix has decided to pull the plug on Selling Tampa after just one season, and fans aren't too happy with the decision. Last week, it was announced that executive producer Adam Divello decided to cancel the Selling Sunset spin-off. The show followed Sharelle Rosado's Allure Reality, where she serves as the head broker and runs a team of agents who are all women of color. It helped highlight more diverse representation in the real estate market and showcased the beauty of Tampa. However, the Tampa market was too slow for viewers, and Adam opted out of returning for a second season.

Amid the cancelation, Reddit user u/skippysqueeze01 shared the news with the community of Selling Sunset franchise fans, and many expressed their disappointment in the Selling Tampa spinoff being axed. "Dang I would have rather seen them than the Oc cast smh," one fan wrote. "I wish they...

Selling Tampa Canceled After 1 Season & Cast Blames it On Racism
Image
Netflix's Selling Tampa spin-off has been canceled after just one season and members of the all-Black cast are saying it's due to racism. The show debuted last December and introduced Sharelle Rosado's Allure Reality to the lineup of real estate-based Netflix shows. It served as the first official spin-off of Selling Sunset and featured the first all-Black all-female cast. Fans have been awaiting word on a follow-up season that follows the ladies and the expansion of Allure into Miami.

However, it was confirmed on Friday that the entire show has been axed after executive producer Adam Divello decided to pull the plug and there's one Selling Tampa cast member who's calling racism. “When they show us [black women] in a different light — when we’re bickering, fighting and name-calling — they get a Season 2 and Season 3, but that’s not what we were displaying,” Juawana Colbert told Page Six. “I feel...

Selling the Oc: British star’s accent mocked in first episode of Selling Sunset spin-off
Image
British-born realtor Polly Brindle, one of the stars of Selling the Oc, was ridiculed partway through the very first episode for her English accent.

The series, a spin-off of the popular reality show Selling Sunset, debuted on Netflix on Wednesday (24 August).

One sequence from the first episode features a get-together with new stars including Alex Hall, Kayla Carmona, Polly Brindle. Conversation turns towards fellow realtors Alexandra Rose and Alexandra Jarvis, with Polly suggesting that she “hates” the latter.

“She’s the worst person in the f***ing world,” she said.

“Polly hates everyone,” replied Alex. “I’m surprised Polly doesn’t hate me.”

“I try to bond with her. I have tried to speak to that girl, and she looks at me...”

“She probably doesn’t understand what you’re saying, Polly,” Alex shot back. “Half of us don’t.”

“I literally speak English!” said Polly.

“Yeah, British English,” replied Alex,...

Selling Sunset Creator Reveals Just How Much Help Stars Get in the Beauty Department
Selling Sunset (2019)
You gotta look the part to play the part—especially in the high-stakes world of luxury real estate. So it only makes sense that the agents of Selling Sunset are frequently filmed wearing designer clothes and sporting a stunning contour. "Selling Sunset wouldn't be Selling Sunset if we were coming in our workout clothes and sweatpants," Emma Hernan told Variety Aug. 23. "Although I love some workout clothes and sweatpants—it is fun to get glammed up." The only downside is that the women are responsible for doing their hair and makeup during daily shoots. Series creator Adam Divello confirmed Netflix only foots the bill for confessionals. "The only days that...

‘Not enough insurance in the world’: Selling Sunset creator speaks out on terrifying infinity pool scene
Selling Sunset (2019)
Selling Sunset creator Adam Divello has spoken out about the terrifying infinity pool scene from season five.

The recent season of the Netflix real estate reality show saw new broker Emma Hernan run across the ledge of one of the house’s dauntingly high infinity pools to pose for a photo.

Sitting down for Variety’s “Making a Scene”, Divello and stars Chrishelle Staus and Hernan broke down the moment from episode two’s “New Blood” that left viewers horrified.

“I thought production was going to step in,” Straus said. “This is one of those things that I legitimately thought, ‘There’s no way on this set...I can’t be the only one that’s going to object to this.’”

“No one stopped me. I figured ehh it’s really dangerous, someone will stop me,” Hernan explained. “I’m clumsy, so I probably shouldn’t be doing those things.

Christine Quinn Exits ‘Selling Sunset’ Ahead of Season 6
Image
“Selling Sunset” star Christine Quinn has exited the hit Netflix reality series, Variety has confirmed.

Quinn will not appear in the show’s sixth and seven seasons, which recently began back-to-back production. The real estate agent has previously been a major part of the show, which follows the employees of the high-end Los Angeles real estate firm Oppenheim Group. In the show’s five seasons, Quinn’s rivalry with cast member Chrishell Stause and her relationship and eventual marriage to entrepreneur Christian Richard have been major storylines for the series.

The news follows a series of public comments from Quinn that indicated she would be making her exit from the series. Following Season 5, which premiered on the streamer in April, Quinn skipped out on the season’s reunion, stating it was due to contracting Covid-19. In an interview on “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen the following month, Quinn...

Christine Quinn Exits ‘Selling Sunset,’ Will Not Return To Season 6 Or 7 Of Netflix Reality Series
Image
Christine Quinn is not returning to Selling Sunset, sources tell Deadline. The real estate expert won’t be featured in Season 6 or 7 of the Netflix reality series that follows a group of agents from The Oppenheim Group.

Quinn has been a key player in the unscripted show since the premiere in 2019. She was the central figure of most of the drama on the series and one of the most recognized personalities. Following Season 5, she skipped out on the first-ever reunion claiming she tested positive for Covid.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live in May, Quinn was pressed by Andy Cohen about speculation she had faked contracting the coronavirus. The entrepreneur assured the late-night host she “absolutely did have Covid” despite being spotted two days later shooting a campaign. Quinn clarified she had “tested positive to go [do the shoot], as in negative [for Covid].”

Quinn revealed in that same interview that she didn...

‘Selling Sunset’ executive producer Adam Divello says creating a hit reality show is just like ‘baking a cake’ [Exclusive Video Interview]
Image
“I always equate it to baking a cake,” says “Selling Sunset” executive producer Adam Divello about creating a successful reality TV show. “It takes all those special ingredients. Whether it’s the big, loud characters or the characters who are much more quiet and down to earth. It’s that perfect mix. Obviously it comes down to the cast, first and foremost. Then it’s the access that they give you as well. If they’re not going to give you full access to their lives, it’s not going to be an authentic series.” Watch our exclusive video interview above.

Why That Reality TV Song Sounds Familiar (But Isn’t)
Image
Click here to read the full article.

Tune in to a hit reality show these days and you’re likely to hear a trend: songs extolling the empowered, girlboss lifestyle, from artists you’ve probably never heard of. While the reality landscape was once soundtracked by top 40 hits on shows like The Hills, today’s content takes a different approach, relying heavily on music libraries with no-name artists and custom scoring to fill the silence. The reason? Complicated, and expensive, music licensing rights and a growing industry of made-for-reality-tv tracks.

Selling Sunset was among the first to get attention for its music when it debuted on Netflix three years ago with songs that creator Adam Divello knows the internet has joked are all about “work, work, work and sell and high heels and dollar bills and earn-that-money.” Divello, also behind The Hills and Laguna Beach, says “it was a whole different world” scoring those shows,...

How ‘Selling Sunset’ Creator Adam Divello Brought Realtors Into Reality Television
Image
When Adam Divello first pitched Selling Sunset to Netflix, the plan wasn’t to turn an unscripted show about The Oppenheim Group—a high-end real estate firm in West Hollywood—into something akin to the Real Housewives franchise.

“I don’t think we ever knew exactly what it was going to be,” admits Divello about the show’s 2019 launch. “I know when I approached the Oppenheim brothers about being on the show, they were very hesitant. They didn’t want to be like a Bravo-type, so to speak, with no offense to Bravo. They just didn’t want to be on a show where there was constant fighting. I promised and said, ‘No, I’m going to make it about real estate and these high-end homes you guys sell in Los Angeles.’ Our first one was a 40 million house, which is crazy. But of course, I told them we are...

Christine Quinn Explains How She Negotiated the Highest Salary on "Selling Sunset"
Image
Christine Quinn is finally offering insight into the question on every "Selling Sunset" fan's mind: how much do the cast members actually get paid? After recently confirming her return for season six despite leaving the Oppenheim Group, Quinn opened up about the pay structure for the reality stars on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast on May 18.

"I think it's all about recognizing your worth."

While Quinn didn't reveal any exact numbers, she shared there are three different pay tiers for the cast, and she and Jason Oppenheim are paid the most. "I'm gonna get sued after this. I don't care. You can't afford my lawyers," she added before explaining. The reason she takes home the highest salary isn't because of any production agreement or screen time - it's simply because she hired her own lawyer to negotiate the best deal. "That was me, with my entertainment attorney, basically saying, this is my value.
