Rodner Figueroa was fired from Univision after comments he made about Michelle Obama on Wednesday's episode of El Gordo y la Flaca.
Discussing makeup artist Paolo Ballesteros, who earned Internet notoriety for transforming himself into everyone from Kim Kardashian to Dakota Johnson to the First Lady, Figueroa said, "Well, watch out, you know that Michelle Obama looks like she's from the cast of Planet of the Apes, the movie."
His cohosts tried to save the situation, with Lili Estefan asking him, "What are you saying?" and Raul de Molina adding that he thought Obama was very attractive.
Figueroa's termination was announced the next day.

Playing diner owner Han Lee on the ribald 2 Broke Girls, Matthew Moy has one very memorable role on the CBS comedy. That’s mostly because the show’s creators have been criticized for making Han one big stereotype after another: The character speaks with a heavy accent, often doesn’t understand American slang and turns of phrases, and is regularly made fun of for his small stature and clueless nature.
Behind the silly role, however, is Matthew Moy, an actor who, truly, couldn’t be further from who he plays on TV. Moy is very clued into pop culture, which...

Latino TV host Raul De Molina was left fearing for his life during a safari trip in South Africa last weekend (12-13Jun10) after his car caught fire and forced him out into the lion enclosure.
The Emmy Award-winning presenter, best known for hosting El Gordo y la Flaca on U.S. channel Univision, is in South Africa covering the ongoing World Cup soccer tournament.
But his attempt to take time out from his busy schedule with a relaxing outing to see the country's wildlife went awry - and ended in a trip to the hospital.
De Molina tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "The car kept stalling with the lions running freely around. I could see smoke coming out of the hood, and after 15 minutes the car started burning. I knew it was a no-win situation. If I stayed in the car I was going to die, and if I leave, then a lion would eat me. But because of the smoke I had to get out. I thought someone would rescue me, but 30 minutes later I was still waiting. The safari ranger had told me that 10 years ago, a Chinese tourist had got out of his car and was eaten alive."
Luckily the Cuban star was saved from the lions by a South African family who escorted him away from danger in their car.
De Molina was admitted to hospital and treated for smoke inhalation before getting back to work.
