The 2014 Lakes International Comic Art Festival has announced a celebration of 50 years of Doctor Who in comics.
The Kendal-based convention will feature a series of events to mark the anniversary.
The cult sci-fi show celebrated its 50th birthday last year. The first comic strip based on the series launched the year afterwards in 1964 in TV Comic.
Dez Skinn - the editor of Doctor Who Magazine precursor Doctor Who Weekly - will be talking about his work on the publication as well as the acclaimed UK anthology comic Warrior.
There will also be a Fifty Years of Doctor Who comics in 50 Minutes panel, which will feature Doctor Who artists Mike Collins and Martin Geraghty, writers Scott Gray, Nick Abadzis and Robbie Morrison, and Doctor Who Magazine editor John Freeman as chair.
The festival announced a host of new creators this week including Morrison, Joe List, Rob Davis and Darryl Cunningham.
