The episode of Wtf Happened to This Horror Movie? covering Final Destination 5 was Written, Narrated, and Edited by Tyler Nichols, Produced by Andrew Hatfield and John Fallon, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
The Final Destination series is in the midst of a near 13 year break. But thankfully that should be ending next year with the sixth entry in the series. But there was another time when the franchise seemed as good as dead. After The Final Destination came out, it seemed like that was the end of any cheating of death. But thankfully Eric Heisserer came along with an script that would blow audiences away. So we’re getting into all the gymnastics mishaps, terrible bridge construction, and massages with a not so happy ending, as we look at Wtf Happened To Final Destination 5 (watch it Here).

It’s always a good time to revisit the “Final Destination” movies, one of the goriest, most (re)watchable horror franchises of all time.
The cast of characters trying to dodge Death in each film changes (for the most part), but the enigmatic and menacing coroner William Bludworth (“Candyman” star Tony Todd) is in every installment except the fourth movie.
Here’s where you can stream all five movies, where people who survived catastrophic disasters are killed off in inventively gruesome ways.
Tony Todd in “Final Destination” (New Line Cinema)
“Final Destination” (2000)
In the first film, student Alex Browning (Devon Sawa) has a terrifying vision that the plane his French class is taking to Paris will explode, killing everyone. He freaks out and leaves the plane, as do several other students and one teacher. The flight does, in fact, go up in flames … and then people begin dying in the...

This month’s installment of Deep Cuts Rising features a variety of horror movies, with each one reflecting a special event or day in May.
Regardless of how they came to be here, or what they’re about, these past movies can generally be considered overlooked, forgotten or unknown.
This month’s offerings include a tense battle between mothers, a tale of evil in the suburbs, a fast-food slasher, a twisty wartime horror story, and an indie slow burn with a Hitchcockian vibe.
You’ll Like My Mother (1972)
Directed by Lamont Johnson.
The movie stars Oscar winner Patty Duke as young widow Francesca, who’s visiting her late husband’s mother (Rosemary Murphy) for the first time at a remote house in snowy Minnesota. Soon things take a turn when Francesca becomes not only stranded at her in-law’s house, but also drugged and taken prisoner.

Cook), Tara Lewis (Aisha Tyler), Luke Alvez (Adam Rodriguez), and Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) worked against the clock to rescue Rossi and to locate the one of the worst serial killers the Bau had ever seen, Elias Voit (Zach Gilford) a.k.a. [Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 16 finale, “Dead End.”] Criminal Minds: Evolution might have ended its 16th season with the FBI suffering a loss — Deputy Director Bailey (Nicholas D’Agosto), we were just starting to like you! — but every member of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (Bau) — David Rossi (Joe Mantegna), Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster), Jennifer “J.J.” Jareau (A.J. Cook), Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness), Dr. Tara Lewis (Aisha Tyler), and Luke Alvez (Adam Rodriguez) — survived. And the good news is they’ll all be back for Season 17 (picked up in January). “The main cast members are all coming back,” showrunner Erica Messer confirms to TV Insider. “And then deals are still being made for some of the other faces you saw this year.” But what about the two profilers with the Bau at the end of the original run (2005-2020 on CBS) we didn’t see but only heard tidbits about in Season...

Spoiler Alert: This story contains spoilers from the Thursday, February 9 finale of “Criminal Minds: Evolution,” now streaming on Paramount+.
The profilers on “Criminal Minds” know a thing or two about catching a killer. This season, the first of “Criminal Minds: Evolution,” did something they’ve never done before by following one UnSub through the season. Elias Voit/Sicarius (Zach Gilford) was finally arrested during the finale — and Rossi (Joe Mantegna) was rescued.
While the mystery of tracking down Sicarius was solved, Elias opened the door on a whole new mystery, muttering the secret phrase “gold star,” one that had hidden meaning to one agent, Doug Bailey (Nicholas D’Agosto), who was killed for knowing what it meant. Here, showrunner Erica Messer breaks down what that mystery means for Season 17, whether Tyler (Ryan-James Hatanaka) will return and the future of Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) and Alvez (Adam Rodriguez).

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 16 finale “Dead End.”] One case closes (sort of), another opens in the Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 16 finale. Rossi (Joe Mantegna) helps to save himself, with the Bau finding him after taking Elias Voit/Sicarius (Zach Gilford) into custody and having his wife Sydney (Kiele Sanchez) talk him into giving up the location. But before they got Voit, he shot Bailey (Nicholas D’Agosto), who insisted upon being the one to try to negotiate after the serial killer used the phrase “Gold Star.” Whatever that is, it has Rebecca (Nicole Pacent) telling the Attorney General (Monnae Michaell) her legal and extralegal options: let him go (the safest way to keep the matter contained) or an implied order of terminate with extreme prejudice (with the likely deaths of Rossi and Voit’s family unavoidable collateral damage). When Lewis (Aisha Tyler) questions ex-girlfriend Rebecca about Gold Star, all she can tell ...

Criminal Minds: Evolution showrunner Erica Messer told TV Insider that “it’s gonna take a real big thing to happen for us to get [the jet] back,” and as the sneak peek Paramount+ has released from the January 12 midseason premiere, that’s exactly what’s happened. Last we saw the Bau, they had a lead on Sicarius (Zach Gilford’s Voit), though they have yet to identify him, and JJ (A.J. Cook) and Luke (Adam Rodriguez) were checking out his underground storage container when there was an explosion. Those back at the office — Prentiss (Paget Brewster), Rossi (Joe Mantegna), Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness), Lewis (Aisha Tyler), and even Bailey (Nicholas D’Agosto) — could only watch in horror as they lost the feed from their body cameras. Now, in the clip (which you can watch below) shared on Twitter, everyone’s trying to find a way to reach ...

Most of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (Bau) is back working the season-long case against UnSub Elias Voit (Zach Gilford) and his network of serial killers in Criminal Minds: Evolution. But two profilers with the team at the end of the series’ original run on CBS (2005-2020) are noticeably absent. Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) and Matt Simmons (Daniel Henney) are off on assignments that Deputy Director Bailey (Nicholas D’Agosto) said to Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) in the premiere he wasn’t “at liberty to discuss,” adding, “if and when they return is entirely up to them. Sadly, we don’t have a say.” But how much will we hear about those assignments? “I can’t talk too much about it,” showrunner Erica Messer recently told TV Insider. “We won’t hear a ton more about what they’re up to this year, but it’ll come into play next...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 16 Episode 5 “Oedipus Wrecks”.] We know that the Bau is going to start to get some wins against UnSub Elias Voit (Zach Gilford), who’s running a network of serial killers, but at the midway point of Criminal Minds: Evolution, the agents may have just lost two of their own. It all begins with the next case-of-the-week: A man using a custom-made dental device (with razors!) to bite (multiple times!) the women he’s killing — and the signs of escalation mean he’s building up to someone. Deputy Director Bailey (Nicholas D’Agosto) previously dated one of the victims — and she broke his heart, as David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) notes — so he takes a personal interest in it. Bailey’s the one to give them a lead: Beltway Elite, a dating app for government employees. Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) takes advantage of this and finds a way to...

“It was exhilarating but also, ‘wait a minute, is this really going to happen?’” Paget Brewster (who plays Emily Prentiss) recalls about the Zoom regarding Criminal Minds returning. It did happen, with Criminal Minds: Evolution taking the profilers of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (Bau) from network with CBS to streaming with Paramount+. “It was [grisly] when on CBS. Looking back now, there was some questionable stuff,” Brewster says in TV Insider’s video interview above. “We did what they said and we had no cursing and no graphic sexual content. We did what we were told to do.” With Evolution, Prentiss now has two jobs (Unit Chief and Section Chief) and a new foe in Deputy Director Bailey (Nicholas D’Agosto). The Bau is getting closer and closer to getting a win over UnSub Elias Voit/Sicarius (Zach Gilford), who’s running a network of serial killers …once they get past the halfway point of the season on Criminal Minds: Evolution. So far, the profilers know that they’re dealing with a network and they’re working on narrowing down who they might be looking for based on the kill kits still out there. They also might have some found help in the latest UnSub — who actually infiltrated the network because his sister went missing 15 years ago and he has his eye on Sicarius, they discovered in “Moose.” But these killers aren’t their only problem: Deputy Director Bailey (Nicholas D’Agosto) wants to shut down the Bau and has now removed David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) as team leader; fortunately, Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster), as section chief, was able to appoint herself as his replacement.

Criminal Minds: Evolution takes us into Voit’s home life in “Moose,” directed by series star Joe Mantegna, just as the Bau is dealing with the fact that Bailey (Nicholas D’Agosto) is doing whatever he can do to shut down the unit. In fact, the latest killer in the network is just what he needs to bring in Domestic Terrorism, the exact unit he thinks should be handling this case since he likens it to a terror cell. First, JJ (Aj Cook) and Luke (Adam Rodriguez) lose their next lead to the head of the network; they chase an UnSub with a kill kit through the woods, but local law enforcement box him in, leading to him shooting himself. Olivia Castle (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) knows things are about to be bad. In contrast, the doctor goes through the setup process in a patient monotone, calmly talking her through the process. So confident is he, that the doctor doesn’t even worry about stepping out for a moment, leaving Olivia temporarily unattended.
Of course, he doesn’t know what we know. After her life was saved by co-worker Sam Lawton (Nicholas D’Agosto), who convinced her and others to get off of a bus minutes before it was involved in a horrific accident, Olivia and her fellow survivors have been hunted by Death.

The Nominees 2000 provided a bevy of possibilities in the supporting actress category but Oscar ignored the gifted comediennes (Parker Posey in Best in Show and Elaine May in Smalltime Crooks), the foreign divas (Catherine Deneuve in Dancer in the Dark and Zhang Ziyi in Crouching Tiger), indie darlings (Lupe Ontiveros in Chuck & Buck) and even women in Best Picture contenders. What they came up with instead was an almost eerily archetypical shortlist which included five different kinds of traditional Oscar-friendly roles: long-suffering wife, feisty grandmother, manic pixie dream girl, mama bear, and the tough mentor.

Minor Spoilers: The Top 6 Characters “Gotham” Should Introduce in Season 3
Author – Mark Cook
I am going to preface by saying that there are minor “Gotham: Season 2” Spoilers in case any readers have not had the chance to watch it yet.
If you are a fan of Batman’s Rogues Gallery, then “Gotham: Season 2”, was an enjoyable experience. Executive Producer Danny Cannon, and Creator Bruno Heller, introduced the audience to characters including, Mr. Freeze, Firefly, Hugo Strange, Azrael, and continued to develop The Riddler, and Penguin. There were even nods to Basil Karlo and Waylon Jones. While the creators have mixed staying true to the source material with some characters and creating their own backgrounds for others, they have done a wonderful job in giving life to numerous characters who would more than likely not make it to the big-screen, while providing further development to the well-known villains.
At the conclusion of Season 2, Hugo Strange is arrested, Penguin is working towards reestablishing himself, Nygma is still in Arkham, Fish Mooney and the rest of the Indian Hill “creations” are on the loose, and The Court of Owls are seemingly going to take matters into their own hands. With the focus of Season 3 possibly involving the reemergence of Fish and The Court of Owls, I have put together a list of the top 6 characters “Gotham” should introduce next season:
6. Harvey Dent / Two-Face
I know, Harvey Dent is already in “Gotham”. Nicholas D'Agosto does an excellent job portraying a young Harvey Dent. I would like to see the writers give him more screen time, possibly displaying subtle details to Harvey’s “other” side. The character is still years away from actually becoming Two-Face, but by providing D’Agosto with more screen time, he could help Bruce, Alfred, Lucius, and Gordon tackle The Court of Owls. During this time, seeing Harvey have moments of anger would be great foreshadowing for D’Agosto’s upstanding depiction of the character.
5. Jervis Tetch / Mad Hatter
Dr. Jervis Tetch was first introduced in Batman #49 in 1948. Also known as the Mad Hatter, he is a character who can be easily overlooked, but could also offer an interesting story arc, whether it was simply one episode, or as a reoccurring character. The Court of Owls could hire the doctor in order to create mind-controlling devices for any major figure who could possibly thwart their takeover. Focusing on Hatter’s obsessive, and psychotic, characteristics could help ground his character in the world of “Gotham”.
4. Julian Day – The Calendar Man
Julian Day’s initial appearance was in Detective Comics #259 in September, 1958. Day can also be seen as a subordinate character, but could create an interesting, long-term story to follow. The Calendar Man is known for playing an important role in Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale’s beloved Batman: The Long Halloween series. Adapting the aspects of The Calendar Man striking on holidays could be a great nod to Loeb and Sale’s series as well as create an intriguing, long-term dynamic for fans to follow. Possibly having Day strike around actual holidays corresponding with when the shows air could create some anticipation as well.
3. Roman Sionis – Black Mask
The next three individuals on the list could provide interesting antagonists for a developing Bruce Wayne character. Roman Sionis’ father, Richard, was portrayed in Season 1 - Episode 8, “The Mask”, played by Todd Stashwick. Bringing Roman into the fold would be interesting seeing as he always had a hatred for Bruce Wayne prior to his hatred for Batman. He also loses his legacy in the comics, which could play off of Episode 8 with the outcome of his father. He could be portrayed as a vengeful character trying to fill his father’s role while blaming Bruce all the while.
2. Alberto Falcone
Alberto was another major character used in Loeb and Sale’s, Batman: The Long Halloween. Even if there is a little age difference between Bruce and Alberto, “Gotham” has shown that such details don’t hold them back from their ultimate vision. Alberto’s inclusion could be used in different ways. The writers could use him as a “friend” of Bruce’s who eventually takes a different path. They could also use him as a young Falcone wanting to carry on the family name, or start his own path due to being the “outcast” of the family, as seen in The Long Halloween. This could shift some of the focus back to the “freaks vs. mafia” type conflict depicted in some of the comics. A smaller sub-plot they could use would be Selina’s eventual realization that she is connected / related to the Falcone family.
1. Tommy Elliot – Hush
Season 1 - Episode 8, “The Mask”, also contained a brief appearance from Bruce’s childhood friend, Tommy Elliot at Anders Preparatory Academy. During the episode, Tommy is seen somewhat bullying Bruce concerning the death of his parents. Alfred drives Bruce to Tommy’s house, where Bruce subsequently beats Tommy up, honoring the Wayne Family. Season 3 could come back to the relationship, possibly making them friends due to Tommy apologizing. This could later lead to a unique plot twist by fueling Tommy’s eventual hatred for the Wayne family, and his change to Hush.
Do you agree with the characters on the list? Is there anyone left off? Leave your thoughts in the comments section. Thanks for reading!

Another recurring cast member has been promoted to series regular status ahead of Gotham's sophomore season. This time it's Drew Powell, who portays the lovable mobster, 'Butch Gilzean'. Gilzean spent most of Season 1 as Fish Mooney's loyal right-hand-man, but was eventually coerced into the service of Oswald Cobblepot. He'll continue to work for The Penguin for now, after he inherited Gotham's criminal empire at the end of last season. Powell is the fourth guest star to gain regular status, joining Morena Baccarin ('Lesley Thompkins'), Nicholas D'Agosto ('Harvey Dent') & Chris Chalk ('Lucius Fox'). Season 2 will also mark the arrival of Michael Chiklis as 'Gcpd Captain Barnes', Jessica Lucas as 'Tabitha Galavan' (a.k.a. 'Tigress') and James Frain as her brother, 'Theo Galavan'. With filming well underway on the second season of Fox's "Gotham," new photos have begun emerging from the set in New York City. The first batch, over at Just Jared, shows "Shameless" actor Cameron Monaghan in a straight jacket reprising his guest starring role of Jerome from the first season.
The producers have stopped beating around the bush with the character, having said that he will become The Joker down the line, and that a big part of the second season will be seeing how his personality transforms towards becoming the Clown Prince of Crime. The new photos also show Ben McKenzie's Jim Gordon bloodied after some sort of altercation.
Monaghan isn't the only cast member getting an upgrade next year with Morena Baccarin (Dr. Leslie Tompkins), Nicholas D'Agosto (Harvey Dent) and Chris Chalk (Lucius Fox) all becoming series regulars for the second season which kicks off this Fall.

Agent Carter alum James Frain has signed up for the role of Theo Galavan, billionaire brother to the villainous Tigress...
So far, we don't know a huge amount about Gotham season 2. We've been told that Cameron Monaghan's Jerome might be back, and that Nicholas D'Agosto's Harvey Dent will have a larger role to play this time around. Beyond that, not much has been revealed.
Today, though, another tiny piece of the jigsaw has slotted into place, in the form of a new character.
James Frain - who played Leet Brannis with creepy aplomb in Agent Carter - has jumped ships to Gotham in order to play Theo Galavan. Deadline's report has described Theo as "the savior the city has been waiting for — he is sexy, heroic, and lovingly devoted to his sister Tabitha."

Nicholas D'Agosto has been upgraded from recurring to a regular on the upcoming second season of Fox's Batman prequel series "Gotham".
D'Agosto was cast as a young Harvey Dent in the first season of the show with an option to become a regular. The network has now exercised that option, with the actor announcing the news on Twitter.
Thank you to all of you @Gotham and #HarveyDent fans for your enthusiasm. I can't wait to join more of the fun as a regular in Season 2!
— Nicholas D'Agosto (@nicholasdagosto) May 27, 2015
In this version, Dent is a bright, charming, idealistic assistant District Attorney who aims to help Jim Gordon eradicate crime and corruption. However there's a darker side to him which will eventually emerge when he becomes Two-Face.
It's not known at what point in the series yet that change will happen.

Harvey Dent fans rejoice, because Gotham just gave the young Assistant District Attorney a promotion. According to actor Nicholas D’Agosto himself, he’ll be back as the future Two Face next season and this time, he’ll be a series regular:

D’Agosto debuted about halfway through the show’s freshman season and immediately became one of the standout members of the cast. Unfortunately, his involvement in the proceedings and brief partnerships with Jim Gordon amounted to nothing more than fan service – so there’s plenty of room to explore his character further and continue setting up his tragic destiny.

Nicholas D'Agosto made his debut fairly early on in Gotham's first season last year - popping up in episodes 9 and 10 as a key element in the mid-season finale. Sadly the actor, who plays the duplicitous 'Harvey Dent' on the show, only returned for a single episode in the second half of the season. Fans of the character will therefore no doubt be happy to learn that D'Agosto has been bumped up to regular status for next season, per the actor's Twitter account: Thank you to all of you @Gotham and #HarveyDent fans for your enthusiasm. While he's already shown hints of his two-faced personality, this extra focus could signal the arrival of his villainous alter-ego. It is worth noting that regular status has lesser importance...

Get ready to see a different James Gordon when Fox's Gotham returns Monday.
When viewers last visited Gotham City, Gordon (Ben McKenzie) got wrapped up in a plot concocted by overeager D.A. Harvey Dent (Nicholas D'Agosto) to catch the supposed murderer of Thomas and Martha Wayne. When that suspect ended up shot dead by Gordon's gun (though not by Gordon's hand), Mayor James (Richard Kind) reassigned Gordon to a security detail at Arkham Asylum — a demotion Gordon decided to take rather than cave to City Hall's hopes that he would quit.

Hey, "Gotham" peeps. Unfortunately, we have to tell you that the new, official spoilers for episode 11 of season 1 will be delayed for a while as the show has hit its winter break point. Currently, there has been no official announcement as to when episode 11 will air. Hopefully, it will be around late January like most other shows. The episode is also untitled at the moment. Basically, there's absolutely no intel for episode 11 right now. However, there is a bit of good news. Harvey Dent star, Nicholas D'Agosto', recently told Zap2it that he has been promoted to a season regular for season 2! So, that means that they are definitely planning to bring the show back for another season, though a season 2 renewal hasn't been official announced by Fox yet. Fox might release a promo/spoiler clip for episode 11 after episode 10 airs tonight. If they do, we'll definitely get that up on the site.

This review contains spoilers.
1.9 Harvey Dent
Holy elaborate plan to steal explosives, Batman! This week’s Gotham was of the disappointing variety, failing to do much with the aftermath of Bullock’s game-changing rallying-the-troops moment from last week. While we had our hopes up for the newly-invigorated Gcpd to start properly digging into the Wayne murder case, instead we got a disjointed selection of narrative strands that didn’t really settle into a cohesive whole.
Things didn’t exactly get off to a dynamite start, when convicted-explosives-expert-turned-plot-device Ian Hargrove enacted the most predictable in-transit break-out of all time. The revelation that someone else other than Hargrove was causing trouble was incredibly tame, and anyone who tuned into that segment with no prior Gotham knowledge would surely have thought the show was...
