Angela Pagan, the 33-year-old professional chef from Atlanta was eliminated in ninth place on Thursday’s episode of “Next Level Chef.” Despite Team Richard Blais cooking in the top kitchen, Angela struggled to find the ingredients for a Next Level Greek dish and grabbed lamb neck for a protein. The chef then found herself up for elimination against Team Nyesha Arrington‘s Christina Miros. Watch her exclusive video interview with Gold Derby above.
“It becomes overwhelming,” she says of cooking in the top kitchen. “You’re scanning the whole platform. I think it’s easier when there’s less items and you can see more. Everybody just gets nervous up there.”

The first three episodes of the final season of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” debuted this week with a pair of unexpected exits: both Mei (Oscar nominee Stephanie Hsu) and Lenny Bruce (Emmy winner Luke Kirby) departed from the narrative after playing key roles in the lives of Joel and Midge Maisel (Michael Zegen and Emmy winner Rachel Brosnahan) throughout the five-season run.
In the case of Mei, her pregnancy and potential marriage to Joel were dispatched when she decided to move to Chicago to follow her goal of becoming a doctor. While it’s not explicitly stated, it’s clear Mei had an abortion to terminate the pregnancy.
“It was a complete shock after reading the first episode,” Zegen told TVLine of the twist. “I thought maybe she was going to come back, but [Stephanie] told me she wasn’t. It was shocking… I expected them to be together forever, to be honest.

Pastrami-infused martinis, pink and white cookies and a “Maisel Tov” hot dog are on the menu as Amazon Prime Video has partnered with several different brands to help promote the final season of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.”
And it’s not just food partnerships. Companies ranging from Pantone to Saks Fifth Avenue are part of an ambitious marketing campaign tied to the April 14 premiere of “Maisel” Season 5. Activities that day include the series’ cast, along with exec producers Amy Sherman Palladino and Daniel Palladino, ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange, as well as a mile-long “takeover” of Fifth Avenue in New York from 46th Street to 56th Street and a 4 p.m. ‘60s-themed fitness class at the Twa Hotel at JFK airport.
“Each brand is celebrating ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ in their own unique way,” said Prime Video head of brand partnerships and consumer events Jennifer Verdick.
