- Marc-Antoine Charpentier was born in 1643 in Paris, France. He was a composer, known for Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga (2020), Richard III (1995) and Love & Friendship (2016). He died on February 24, 1704 in Paris, France.
- French composer, employed by Marie de Lorraine, the Duchess of Guise, around 1670, followed by a successful collaboration with Molière; later appointed music teacher to Philippe, Duke of Chartres, and during the mid-1680s until 1698 served as composer and maître de musique at the principal Jesuit church in Paris, St Louis.
- From 1954 "Marche en rondeau", his prelude to "Te Deum", became famous as the European Broadcasting Union's introductory theme.
