*full disclosure: an online screener of this film was provided by Indican Pictures. **there are mild spoilers here. Director: Eric Liberacki. Writer: John Lerchen. Cast: Scout Taylor-Compton, Michael Emery, Domenica Cameron-Scorsese, Ari Lehman and Naomi Grossman. The Lurker is a slasher film from writer John Lerchen (The Pale Man) and director Eric Liberacki (Spoiled Fruit). This film is scheduled for a Spring release and centrally stars Scout Taylor-Compton as the easy to remember Taylor. Taylor-Compton must carry most of this film as she appears in most of the scenes. And, these scenes primarily consist of a high school rendition of Romeo & Juliet, or of partying the night away. Meanwhile, a knife wielding critic is knocking-off most of the cast. Ari Lehman also stars, with much of the acting performed decently. A big character reveal comes in the final scenes, along with one or possibly two killers' motivations. The resolution comes with a flurry of.

Nearly every one of the great directors who came of age in the 1970s -- including Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola, Steven Spielberg, William Friedkin, Peter Bogdanovich, Michael Cimino -- had his own personal Waterloo. Within five to ten years of their breakouts, they'd each shot a massive flop, an epic where ambition and ego had outraced maturity and restraint. Coppola had "One from the Heart," Spielberg had "1941," Friedkin had "Sorcerer," Bogdanovich had "At Long Last Love," and Cimino (most infamously) had "Heaven's Gate." In Scorsese's case, the iceberg was his lavish musical "New York, New York" (released 35 years ago this week, on June 21, 1977). Its failure not only marred his career, it nearly killed him. The disaster may have begun with Scorsese's stylistic approach to the movie, a clash between incompatible filmmaking modes of the old Hollywood he admired and the new Hollywood he'd helped replace it with. It was...

Scorsese's Daughter Eyes A New Movie With Her Dad
Actress-turned-director Domenica Cameron-Scorsese is looking to team up with her legendary father Martin Scorsese on the big screen once more - so she can show off her skills as a filmmaker.
Cameron-Scorsese was a star at 15 when the iconic moviemaker cast her in his 1991 thriller Cape Fear.
She went on to land a role in his 1993 romantic drama The Age of Innocence, but the father-daughter pair have not worked together since.
The 32-year-old admits she's keen to re-establish a professional relationship with her Oscar-winning dad - but this time she'd be behind the camera too.
She tells WENN, "It's a funny thing, I avoided directing for quite some time and actually I loved acting and that's something that the more I fell in love with, the more I found there were stories that I wanted to tell myself.
"I loved getting to work with him when I was younger and I think it's every actress' dream to work with him. He's incredibly supportive. But you know, we'll see (about working together again), we'll both be off making movies hopefully."...
