A modeling gig for runners and a classic musical are just two of the exciting opportunities listed in Backstage’s casting listings! “Night Running”Calling all runners and athletic types! Liz Norden, a mom-of-five, got a phone call from one of her sons on April 15, saying that he had been injured in the Boston bombings. She had no idea that both of her sons would end up having one of their legs amputated.
Liz Norden‘s sons had gone to watch a friend run in the Boston Marathon on April 15, and their lives completely changed in an instant.
Two Brothers Each Lose A Leg In Boston Bombings
Liz says that her 31-year-old son called her and said he was in an ambulance on his way to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
“Ma, I’m hurt real bad,” Liz recounts to the Boston Globe. Her sons, which she didn’t want to name, were standing right next to each other during the blast.
Liz tells the Boston Globe that each of her sons lost a leg, from the knee down.

It was a short trip to the top for Linkin Park. A week after the band's A Thousand Suns hit #1 on the Billboard 200, sales dropped off by more than 70 percent as a pair of newcomers took the lead. Snagging the pole position is last year's Best New Artist Grammy winner Zac Brown Band, whose You Get What You Give will take #1 on sales of 153,000, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan. Just behind at #2 is the chart debut of Maroon 5's third album, Hands All Over, which moved 142,000 units.
They're joined by a number of other top 10 debuts, including a #4 bow by Selena Gomez and the Scene with A Year Without Rain (66,000), rock legend Santana with his covers album Guitar Heaven: The Greatest Guitar Classics of All Time (#5, 66,000), John Legend and the Roots' collaborative covers effort Wake Up!
