Sometimes, when actors enjoy extended stays on a given TV series, the Powers That Be allow them a shot at directing. And although not everyone may be interested in pulling double duty, some are thrilled to try their hand at something different.
Similar to how Tom Cavanagh got behind the camera while filming The Flash‘s 100th episode, Arrow‘s own David Ramsey has been confirmed to do likewise for his own show. And according to Green Arrow TV, we’ll all get to see him showcase his talent whenever episode 7×11, “Past Sins,” gets to air, which’ll be sometime in early 2019. Written by Onalee Hunter Hughes and Tonya Kong, one would imagine a January debut to be more than likely.
Luckily for us, Ramsey was generous enough to share a special behind-the-scenes image on his Instagram page, which can be seen below. Actually, it’s split in two, as...

If anything, the current season of Arrow is making for some strange bedfellows. With Oliver Queen now being behind bars, the rest of Star City’s costumed club have moved on with their lives in various ways, though not all of them are adjusting to civilian life as well.
Obviously, the person taking Ollie’s incarceration hardest is that of his wife, Felicity Smoak, who’s been behaving in atypical fashion of late. I guess when you feel as though you have nothing left to lose you’re not going to be the same man or woman you were before.
Based on the gallery of images promoting next week’s episode, “The Demon,” Felicity will manage to put aside any hard feelings when she, Dinah Drake and Earth-2’s Laurel Lance work in unison to free Oliver from Slabside. Already, the women more commonly known as Black Canary and Black...

"Meanwhile, 'Diggle' (David Ramsey) asks 'Curtis' (Echo Kellum) to go undercover for 'Argus'.
"Then 'Dinah' (Juliana Harkavy) goes to work with an unlikely ally..."

If anything, tonight’s episode of Arrow showed us how the flash forwards are quickly becoming more intriguing than whatever’s going on in the present. I mean, when Roy Harper gives us a tour of a dystopic future where Dinah Drake is an aging Black Canary and has taken Wild Dog’s daughter under her wing, how can you not expect me to favor that unfolding mystery?
Still, there’s no guarantee of that being explored next week, as the first promo for “The Demon” focuses entirely on Oliver Queen’s ongoing misfortunes. After being subjected to some psychiatric “rehabilitation” by Slabside’s top shelf shrink in “Level Two,” our hero seems as though he’s ready to lose his marbles.
Considering how the footage provided shows him ready to kick some serious ass, it’s fair to say he’ll be doing more than sitting on a bench seven days from now.

Last month, when it was revealed that this season of Arrow would include an episode titled “The Demon,” I’m sure we weren’t the only ones who immediately thought of the League of Assassins. I mean, Matt Nable’s iteration of Ra’s al Ghul may be dead and so, too, is his successor in Malcolm Merlyn, but Nyssa al Ghul is still out there somewhere. And though Talia is presumed dead after season 5’s finale, I must remind you that we never saw a body.
Well, now that the official synopsis for said episode has arrived, I’m not so sure if the connection can still be made because there’s no hint of anyone from the al Ghul lineage being involved. Here, take a look for yourself:
Felicty Discovers A Secret About Oliver; Curtis Goes Undercover — Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) learns something new about Oliver (Stephen Amell) that shocks her.

Oliver Queen has faced a lot of uphill battles over the past six seasons of Arrow, but someone who’s almost always been by his side to help him make the climb is his best bud John Diggle. In this week’s episode of The CW series, however, Stephen Amell and David Ramsey’s characters will come to blows in what looks to be a shocking falling out between the dynamic duo.
You can get your first look at the battle brewing in the Arrow-Cave in the promo photos below, but it seems Ollie and Diggle begin with a verbal disagreement before things turn violent, leaving Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) distraught that the two men are fighting. Meanwhile, Katie Cassidy’s Black Siren and Kurt Acevedo’s Ricardo Diaz are up to their old evil tricks, after they get their hands on some vial of green liquid.
Lastly, after chatting...

Although a portion of the Arrowverse is unfortunately on hiatus yet again for the time being, the truth of the matter is that we’re about to begin the final stretch of episodes for the season, so now is the time to get excited. In fact, Legends of Tomorrow will be wrapping up things a little bit earlier because, don’t forget, it tends to enjoy shorter seasons than that of its sister shows. Still, there’s a tad more of Arrow for us to look forward to, which we’ll touch on momentarily.
First, let’s discuss Legends of Tomorrow, which has thankfully been able to continue on without any interruption in recent memory.
On Monday, April 2, season 3’s penultimate episode will arrive in the form of the blatantly titled “Guest Starring John Noble.” Yes, he may technically serve as the voice of Mallus, but we learned not long...

If you’ve been keeping up with the current season of Arrow, then you may make the argument that it feels like a true ensemble show now more than ever. In fact, the title card at the top of each episode these days also showcases logos for the likes of Black Canary, Spartan, Wild Dog and others.
Still, it’s important that the series not lose its primary focus on its central character, that being Oliver Queen Aka the Green Arrow. And judging by what lead actor Stephen Amell had to say in a recent Facebook Live video, well, longtime fans should be satisfied with what one of this season’s latter episodes will bring:
“Putting the starting touches on episode 618 after putting the finishing touches on episode 617 directed by my good buddy Mark Bunting who I felt incredibly fortunate, more fortunate than usual to work with one David Paul Ramsey.

Last week’s episode of Arrow concluded with Oliver Queen being saved by Talia al Ghul after he’d earned the wrath of the Bratva in season 5’s flashbacks. She now looks set to aid him in his mission to take down Constantin Kovar, though it’s important to note that it’s been mentioned in the present day that she must have played a role in training Prometheus.
That means Talia knows the villain’s identity, so chances are she’ll show up in Star City at some point. Considering the fact that Green Arrow is married to her sister Nyssa and killed her father, it’s hard to imagine that being a meeting which will go particularly well.
For more on what to expect from this episode of Arrow – titled “Second Chances” – here’s the official synopsis courtesy of The CW:

Well, that was…disappointing? Tonight’s episode of Arrow was by no means bad, but the reveal that the Laurel Lance who returned in the midseason premiere was actually Earth-2’s Black Siren was underwhelming, to say the least. Sure, the door was left open for her to find redemption, but it appears as if we can forget about seeing the Black Canary in The CW series.
Instead, Oliver Queen is going to hunt down someone else to take over the mantle, and that will seemingly be the woman we met in the episode’s final few minutes. We have no idea who she actually is, but she has powers very similar to Black Siren, a strange coincidence and a potentially hard pill for fans of Laurel to swallow if she does end up joining Team Arrow.
