Trained as Stage Manager at Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London.
Worked as stage manager and actor in Australia and England, and joined
ATV Network Ltd in 1963. Co-founder Mia Films, Australia, 1968. Film
and TV director, camera, editor, script: Film Centre and Filmwest.
Returned England in 1978. Company Director, Oxford Ethnographic Films,
and Tecnhic 10 Ltd. Film, TV producer/director and stage actor in
London from 1978-85. Returned to Australia in 1985; TV producer/
director with Mediacast Ltd, Sydney, until 1988. Contract stage and
film actor, 1989. Director, Modern Image Makers Assocation, and
Co-ordinator 'experimenta' festival 1990-1992. Lectures in cinema at
Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and Victoria University. Ivor
Bowen Media produces TV and corporate documentaries.
