Arlene Bogna is a writer-director with a passion for character-driven storytelling and compelling visuals. Arlene's screenplays have placed in CineStory, Austin Film Festival, PAGE International Screenwriting Awards, Creative World Awards (CWA), StoryPros International, Fade In Awards - True Story/Biopic, Los Angeles Chinese Film Festival, KidsFirst! and Screencraft. Ms. Bogna wrote and directed "The Ballad of Snake Oil Sam" which debuted at the Cannes Short Film Corner and was an Editor's Pick on Shorts HD TV. Arlene has directed over 25 commercials and has been a shadow director for two network episodic dramas. Arlene Bogna has a strong visual background in Art Direction, Photography, and Visual Effects and majored in film and literature at UCLA, spending a year abroad to study cinema and mass media at the Università di Bologna, Italy (DAMS).
In September 2017, "The Ballad of Snake Oil Sam" directed by Arlene Bogna was a recipient of an Outstanding Achievement Award in the Short Films category of Calcutta International Cult Film Festival, in India.
