- His "Golden Horseshoe Revue" (a live stage show in Disneyland's Frontierland saloon) is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest running stage production in show business history. Alongside the can-can dancers, Boag was the comic star of the daily shows from 1955 to 1982 (minus a brief turn at Walt Disney World, and their "Diamond Horseshoe Revue").
- In 1963, he provided the voice for José, the emcee parrot of Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room, as well as the voice of the French parrot Pierre.
- A performer at Disneyland for many years. A big influence on a young Disneyland employee, Steve Martin, who was fascinated with Boag's zany comedy and balloon animals.
