It’s been three decades since Melrose Place debuted on Fox — and Mondays haven’t mellowed one bit. They’re still a bitch.

Since last July — though not always on Mondays — Melrose Place stars Courtney Thorne-Smith, Daphne Zuniga and Laura Leighton have been reuniting weekly for their iHeartRadio podcast, Still the Place. Each episode takes a nostalgic stroll down 4616 Melrose memory lane, as the trio revisits and recaps their old episodes.

“It was pre-cell phone, it was pre-streaming, it was appointment television. It’s when you got together to watch a television show with your friends so you could remember watching a show where you were in your life and who you were with,” Leighton says. “And that’s a unique thing we don’t get any more with television.”

In a recent podcast, Melrose Place co-stars Jack Wagner and Josie Bissett opened up, saying they want to work on another Hallmark movie together.

Moreover, Wagner shared that he is “in negotiations” with Hallmark, hoping to do a seventh Wedding March movie. Meanwhile, the last one in the series, Sealed With a Kiss: Wedding March 6, premiered around four years ago.

The cast of Melrose Place, which reunited for the first time in years, teased the status of the series’ upcoming revival on a panel at ’90s Con Florida, held in Daytona Beach Sept. 14.

“Everyone has agreed to do it,” star Daphne Zuniga said, via People. “Laura and I worked on this for a little bit now. It is in talks. Business affairs and lawyers and all those types are talking about it, and they do want to do it.”

Joined by fellow castmates Heather Locklear, Josie Bissett, Brooke Langton, Laura Leighton and Grant Show, Zuniga added that they’re waiting for the talks to go through. Her colleague, Leighton, added that there were “many moving parts and pieces.”

“The stars need to align, but we want it as much as the fans want it,” she said.

It’s been 25 years since Lisa Rinna played Taylor McBride in “Melrose Place,” but she isn’t over it yet.

Speaking about returning to play one of her most beloved characters in an interview with people, the “Days of Our Lives” alum said, “Well, gosh, I’ve heard about it. I haven’t been approached or anything, but I would love to see what Taylor McBride is up to 25 years later. Wouldn’t that be something?”

Apart from being curious to know what her character would be doing with her life 25 years later, she shared that she had a great time shooting the show and connecting with the cast and crew at the time.

When the original Melrose Place aired from 1992 to 1999, there was no better show to feature supreme soapiness. With Jane Mancini (Josie Bissett) and Jo Reynolds (Daphne Zuniga) helming the crew, the series quickly became a first-class drama with outrageous storylines and steamy romances. The show flew to even higher heights after bringing on the legendary Heather Locklear as Amanda Woodward in Season 2, and during its seven seasons on Fox, Melrose Place was the go-to show for viewers interested in catching all the catfights and hookups—the series even inspired a short-lived CW remake in 2009. But now, the crew from the hottest apartment complex in Los Angeles is officially back, as it was recently revealed that a reboot of the show is in the works for CBS.

It might be time to revisit Melrose Place. A revival of the 90s drama from Darren Star is currently in development with three of the show’s original cast set to return for the revival. The original series is a spin-off of Beverly Hills, 90210 and aired for seven seasons on Fox.

A new Melrose Place series is in the works, centered around the mysterious death of a friend and old relationships brought back to light. Original stars Heather Locklear, Laura Leighton, and Daphne Zuniga are set to reprise their roles in this modern take on nostalgic drama.

Get ready for a return to beautiful people backstabbing and causing all kinds of mischief in West Hollywood because the popular '90s primetime soap, Melrose Place, is possibly making a comeback with some of its original stars moving back into the apartment complex.

Per Variety, a follow-up to the original Melrose Place series is in the works with original cast members, Heather Locklear, Laura Leighton, and Daphne Zuniga on board to return. The project is currently in development at CBS Studios and is in the process of being shopped to streamers and networks.

In the early 90s, producer Aaron Spelling and TV creator Darren Star struck primetime drama gold with the high school soap opera Beverly Hills 90210. The show laid the groundwork for some good old-fashioned scheduled viewing for homes waiting to see what kinds of trouble the kids at West Beverly would get into. While the series would get to put its characters in some compromising situations like Brandon’s gambling, Brenda‘s pregnancy scare, Dylan’s drug use or Donna Martin graduating, Spelling would explore more steamy stories with the spin-off Melrose Place. The reboot will rekindle old traumas, romances, resentments, and secrets among the original Melrose Place residents.

A reboot of Melrose Place is in development. The original primetime soap, which itself was a spinoff of the hit teen drama Beverly Hills, 90210, ran on Fox for seven seasons between 1992 and 1999. The ensemble show followed the interpersonal drama of a group of twenty- and thirtysomethings living in a Los Angeles apartment complex. Apparently TV can’t get enough “Melrose Place.” The campy sudser from the 1990s, which was already rebooted once in the 2010s, is looking to make another comeback — and this time with three of the Og stars. Heather Locklear, Laura Leighton and Daphne Zuniga are all back to reprise their roles in the latest reboot, this time from writer Lauren Gussis.

Gussis will also exec produce with Leighton, Zuniga, Tiffany Grant and Jason Weinberg. Here’s the logline: “When one of their dearest friends dies suddenly, the Og residents of Melrose Place gather to honor the deceased. But the pressure cooker of a reunion soon uncovers old traumas, rekindles old romances, reignites old resentments, and reveals new secrets… throwing our characters into chaotic drama that’s reminiscent of the past, but with a much more modern perspective.”

Fox is grounding all future flights to Fantasy Island, cancelling the reboot after two seasons, TVLine has learned. The May 8 season finale will now serve as a series finale.

“We were very pleased with Fantasy Island‘s fun and escapist creative, which we had hoped would gain strong traction among viewers,” the network said in a statement, adding: “We’d also like to thank Fantasy Island’s cast, led by Roselyn Sánchez, Kiara Barnes and John Gabriel Rodriquez, crew and executive producers Liz Craft, Sarah Fain and Anne Clements for their partnership on the series.”

Fantasy Island season 2 will feature a reunion between Desperate Housewives co-stars Teri Hatcher and James Denton. One of the first super-couples of the soapy Desperate Housewives, Hatcher and Denton sizzled in their respective roles as Susan Mayer and Mike Delfino. They've since reunited for the Hallmark holiday movie A Kiss For Christmas, which debuted in November 2021.

Seeking clarity on the next chapter of their lives, they find themselves as contestants in a twisted game show centered around their marriage. The stakes of losing the game show, hosted by fellow guest star Andy Richter, are quite significant, as it involves punishment by quicksand.

We live in a day and age where reboots reign supreme.

But while many have unfortunately missed the mark over the years, quite a few have proven to be just as fun as their predecessors.

A few great ones have even outdone their namesakes in quality and longevity.

“Melrose Place” co-stars Daphne Zuniga and Grant Show will be reunited when Zuniga guest stars on an upcoming episode of the CW network’s “Dynasty,” Variety has learned exclusively.

Zuniga is set to play Sonya Jackson, a woman from Blake’s (Show) past who comes in and stirs things up for the Carringtons. The episode of “Dynasty,” titled “A Friendly Kiss Between Friends,” will air Friday, April 29, at 9 p.m. on the CW.

Here’s the official character description for Zuniga’s Sonya: “A successful, sultry contemporary to Blake Carrington, Sonya shakes things up after reuniting with her old friend and reminiscing about their college days. Sonya isn’t afraid to mix business with pleasure, posing unexpected challenges for Blake and his wife, Cristal.”

Fox is keeping Fantasy Island open for business. Not only has the reboot been renewed for a second season in 2022, but fans will also return to the iconic locale even earlier with a two-hour holiday special next month, TVLine has learned.

Titled “Welcome to the Snow Globe,” the festive episode (Dec. 21, 8/7c) guest-stars Lindsey Kraft (Grace and Frankie) as a busineswoman whose “fantasy of a perfect Christmas and meeting ‘Mr. Right’ tests Roarke in unexpected ways. Meanwhile, Mr. Jones faces his past, while a new Secret Santa tradition has Ruby and Javier looking to the future,” according to the official logline.

Since this reboot began, I've discovered that a lot of people in my life (who I'd assumed were better versed in '80s TV) are unfamiliar with the original series and the format which, like The Love Boat, brought well-known celebrities on as guests with problems that could be solved in a short, rompy hour.

Fantasy Island Season 1 Episode 6 is probably the best example of cashing in on guest star appeal, reuniting Laura Leighton, Josie Bissett, and Daphne Zuniga, three core cast members of the 1990's smash soap Melrose Place, in one fell swoop.

Looking past the gimmicky nostalgia, there are strong themes of friendship and support, honesty and vulnerability. Sometimes, life gets in the way of being a good friend, but it's the good friends who will be there when Life disappoints.

The Tuesday, April 28 episode featured the Melrose cast reminiscing about their years in West Hollywood’s most iconic apartment complex. The reunion supported The Actors Fund, and viewers were able to donate while they watched. Viewers could also ask questions and interact with with the cast in real time during the show.
