J. Eric Bell is a native of Brooklyn, New York. A few of his film and television credits include "Honey Baby, Honey Baby" as Skiggy Lewis, starring Diana Sands and Calvin Lockhart (1974); "The Education Of Sonny Carson" as Little Boy starring Paul Benjamin and Mary Alice (Paramount Pictures 1974) directed by Michael Campus, and the 1975 ABC Television special as Bobby Parker in "Ceremonies In Dark Old Men" by Lonne Elder co-starring with Robert Hooks, Glynn Turman, Rosalind Cash, Douglas Turner Ward, and Godfrey Cambridge, directed by Michael Schultz, and The PBS series "Scoops Place" as Jay . Stage credits include: "The Odd Couple" as Murray the Cop and "Twelve Angry Men" as Juror Number 2 at The Square One Theatre, in Stratford Conn; The Alguien Theatre he play the Stage Manager in the musical "1940 Radio Hour" and "Othello" as Casio at the Lincoln Theatre in New Haven to which he received a recognition award for best supporting actor. As a member of the prestigious The Negro Ensemble Company he stood in for Todd Davis as Reuben "In The Deepest Part Of Sleep" as Reuben by Charles Fuller and "Every Man Black" as Every Man at the Public Theatre in New York City. "Section D" by Reginald Vel Johnson, as Lucky at New Federal Theatre with Lawrence Fishburn, directed by Woodie King, Jr.; "So Long My Toddies" as the cook at the Four Winds Theatre, in New York, and Richard Wesley's "The Mighty Gents" as Lucky at the Renaissance Theatre in Jamaica Queens. He also toured the U.S. in Ceremonies In Dark Old Men . J. Eric Bell has studied with Susan Batson, The Negro Ensemble Company, and Long Island University. He is a member of Sag- Aftra and was a member of Actors Equity Association.
