While many fans wondered why Mike left Suits before the end of the series, he is not the only high-profile cast exit from the legal drama. Suits has found even more success since it ended, becoming a big draw on streaming platforms, but it still managed to complete an impressive nine seasons during its run. When a show has aired for as many seasons as it has, some main cast overhaul is bound to happen. Although it can be unexpected when a main character leaves the show, there were some unique reasons behind some of the Suits cast exits.

It’s the dawn of a Jessica-less day at Pearson Specter Litt when Suits returns this Wednesday (USA Network, 10/9c). But the biggest change might not be inside the firm, but in Harvey, who emotionally opens up and leans on Donna during the tumultuous transition.

What did you think of Jessica's exit?

Stacy: I love Jessica, and I'm sad to see her go, but, if she had to leave, I'm happy with the way they wrote her out. I loved the flashbacks, watching her remember why she became a lawyer in the first place, and getting the win with Leonard. It was all very emotional.

Jasmine: I'm devastated. I love Gina Torres and Jessica was my favorite! The show never delved into her character development as much as the others to me. Her departure was bittersweet and subdued, too subdued. Watching the show will ever be the same.

Christine: I started watching Suits because of Gina Torres.

Jessica Pearson has left the building. 

Suits Season 6 Episode 10 served as Gina Torres' final episode with the USA Network hit, but it was difficult to feel much emotion in the exit of this pivotal character. 

It's been clear for quite some time now that Jessica would be moving on. All it took was saving Leonard Bailey's life to make her realize it. 

The flashbacks were a nice touch and went a long way to show us just how Jessica has always fought for what she believes in and the show will never be the same without her. 

It seems like the reason she sent Harvey and Louis to try and save the firm was because she wanted to know if the firm was safe in their hands. It was. 

Sure, there were some hurdles along the away, as all of the drama with Sutter had a halo effect...

Was Mike going to get out of prison or be the reason he served his full sentence? That was the question for Suits' "The Hand That Feeds You," as Mike decided that he wasn't going to be the only one who would get released, even with the threat of Gallo looming large. Meanwhile, Rachel and Jessica continued to fight for Leonard Bailey.

Will Mike really get out of prison?

Suits Season 6 Episode 8 was a wild ride that had Mike and Harvey trying to find a way to get the deal back on the table, but there were a lot of things standing in the way that had to be resolved. 

Mike had to try his best to get Kevin on board. You have to respect Mike's honesty. Telling Kevin he was informing on him was a bold move and it could have made things much worse. 

If Kevin found out from someone other than Mike, there was a huge risk that Kevin would never trust Mike again. Mike and Kevin's friendship has been a highlight of Suits Season 6. 

The prison storyline has been all over the place, but it seems like things are finally beginning to come together. The outcome may even be positive. 

It's a shame there's no way a deal...

Did Mike manage to get Kevin on his side?

Things are not looking to good for Mike on Suits Season 6 Episode 7. 

His deal fell through, Kevin is pissed at him, and Gallo is threatening to make things a whole lot worse. 

What will be his next move?

So far he doesn't actually know his deal fell through, and we have to wonder if Harvey will tell him right away, or put it off while he tries to find another way to get it back on the table. It's safe to say if there is another way, no matter how remote, Harvey will find it. 

But, Mike has other problems. If he doesn't get out, he better damn well hope that Harvey can get Gallo out. It was bad enough when Mike just had to deal with Gallo, but what happens if Gallo makes good on his threat and tells Kevin? That's going to make things pretty uncomfortable for the next two years.

Will Rachel manage to get Jessica to help her find a way to save Leonard Bailey?

That's a huge question after Suits Season 6 Episode 6, but that isn't the only big topic we have have to discuss.

Allison: I liked the reveal a lot. It helped explain why Kevin hadn't turned on his father in law. Kevin may hate his father-in-law, but he would never do anything that would take his kids away from their mother.

Christine: It’s a good twist and made me, and Mike, feel empathy towards Kevin. Now Mike has to realize that if he somehow gets what he needs on the father-in-law, he may very well be sending the mother of two kids to prison too. I...

The length of his stint in prison is thrown into question again on Suits Season 6 Episode 7. 

Harvey makes it clear to him he needs to keep his head down and get Kevin back on board, or there's no way to get out soon.

On this episode of Suits, "Trust," in order to help Mike, Harvey has to take on two clients he swore he'd never represent, Rachel runs into a snag with the Leonard Bailey case and Mike struggles to gain Kevin's trust. 

The world of white-collar criminals is a small one because the guy Cahill wants Mike to help nab is William Sutter, the scumbag that Harvey refused to represent just days earlier. Harvey is worried that if Kevin finds out that his father-in-law came to see Harvey, and Harvey told him to drop dead, Kevin will never trust Mike.

On this episode of Suits, "Turn," Mike contemplates taking Cahill's deal, Rachel begins her work with the Innocence Project, Jessica does battle with Stu and Louis meets the woman of his dreams. 

Rachel gets started on her case for the Innocence Project. The man in question is named Leonard Bailey, and he's been on death row for 12 years for a double homicide. For the past 10, he's been writing letters to lawyers, pleading with them to listen to his story. So, he's a bit put out to find out that the best hope he has is a law student, but Rachel convinces him to give her a shot.
