One of the most iconic horror franchises of the last little while will soon return, as the fifth installment of The Purge universe will be with us on July 10th, 2020. At least, it should be if the Coronavirus pandemic is cleared up by then.
Following the success of The First Purge though and, of course, the eponymous TV series on USA, interest in the property is still high and with the previous four movies raking in $465 million globally, it’s clear that things won’t be coming to an end anytime soon. After all, given that the films are set in a world that cleanses itself of crime by allowing a 12-hour lawless holiday each year, it’s not hard to find new stories to tell that continue to unnerve and excite audiences.
Of course, as fans of the first movie will know, the opening credits saw security footage playing...

The world of professional wrestling has, for many years, featured hundreds of various alliances, groups of men and women who, for countless reasons, teamed together in order to achieve something that they would be unable to achieve alone. Be it a group of good guys sticking together, as friends, to take down the heels, or the bad guys forming a gang as a way to intimidate, attack and overthrow the babyfaces. It has worked for decades and continues to this very day, with factions such as The Shield and The Wyatt Family (oh… and don’t forget 3Mb) running rough-shot through WWE on their way to super-stardom. But, like I said, factions aren’t a new thing, they’ve been around for as long as steel folding chairs, brittle announce tables and sneaky managers, and this release is WWE’s look at some of the standout factions that have firmly...

Gimmicks are a major part of the wrestling industry, from the wrestlers to match types, and sometimes even whole shows. In the past several years WWE has debuted a slew of gimmick oriented Ppvs and Monday night Rass. Some have worked beautifully, while others have fallen short of greatness, but at the very least they’re always interesting.
Of all the WWE PPVs there are only really four that matter (Royal Rumble, Wrestlemaina, Summer Slam, and Survivor Series). Other than the big four the rest are really just filler and this year at least five of these lesser PPVs will be gimmick themed. Leaving three open months desperately indeed of some gimmicky goodness, so here are five potential gimmick Ppvs WWE needs to debut to help round out their 2013 calendar.

WCW may be best remembered for the Nwo angle. A storyline that basically made wrestling “cool” back in the 90s. But there was so much more to World Championship Wrestling… like ridiculous gimmick matches, some of which are considered the worst matches of all time. Though that’s not really fair, it’s not the matches fault, or the wrestlers who took part in them. WCW is to blame for these profoundly stupid match types.
In the right hands with the right participates some of WCW’s dumbest stipulations could become legendary battles talked about for generations. Or at the very least a mild laugh on a Monday night. Here are five WCW matches that WWE needs to bring back and give a fair chance.
