She has done movies with her father-in-law Raj and uncles-in-law Shammi and Shashi before marriage. Raj played her father-in-law in Kal Aaj Aur Kal and she was paired alongside Shashi Kapoor in Haseena Maan Jayegi and Shammi Kapoor in Tumsa Accha Kaun Hai.

She landed the heroine role in Tumse Achha Kaun Hai (1969) only after Asha Parekh turned it down.
