Superstar comics writer Grant Morrison had some criticisms of Zack Snyder's take on Wonder Woman for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, telling Nerdist that Gal Gadot's portrayal is "not what [Wonder Woman creator] William Marston wanted" for the superhero.
"His original concept for Wonder Woman was an answer to comics that he thought were filled with images of blood-curdling masculinity, and you see the latest shots of Gal Gadot in the costume, and it's all sword and shield and her snarling at the camera," he added. "Marston's Diana was a doctor, a healer, a scientist."
Morrison will be offering his own take on the Amazon princess in Wonder Woman: Earth One, a story that he says won't feature any fighting at all (as well as an Invisible Plane shaped like a vagina,...

In comics news this week, it was reported that Mark Millar will be doing a superhero series with artist Goran Parlov called Starlight. The comic will be about a retired cosmic hero brought back, one final time, to save life, the universe and everything. Like Millar’s other announced title with Duncan Fegredo, Mph, the series will expand what Millar is calling his Millarworld Universe, his version of the Marvel Universe. Currently Millar has two books out, Kick Ass 3 from Icon and Jupiter’s Legacy from Image. Parlov is best known for his work on the Punisher and recently completed the Fury Max series with Garth Ennis at Marvel. Starlight is expected in March.
