Exclusive: WME has signed Fisher Stevens and his production company Highly Flammable, which he launched last spring alongside producers Maura Anderson and Zak Kilberg. They’ll rep the Academy Award-winning multi-hyphenate, going forward, across all scripted and documentary projects.
The move comes less than a week after Stevens’ Beckham docuseries was released on Netflix, debuting as the streamer’s most-watched English-language series of the week. The four-parter, on which he teamed with Oscar and Emmy-winning producer John Battsek (Searching for Sugar Man), tells the inside story of the global football star and cultural icon, offering unprecedented access not only to Beckham, but also to his wife Victoria, his family, his friends and his teammates.
Fisher’s scripted directing credits include the ex-convict drama Palmer, starring Justin Timberlake, which remains one of Apple TV+’s top 10 most popular films; the comedic thriller Stand Up Guys, starring Al Pacino, Christopher Walken, Alan Arkin,...

So, two chimps walked into a movie theater ...
Sounds like the beginning of a joke, but it actually happened last weekend! As first reported by The Daily Mail, a pair of two-year-old chimps, Vali and Sugriva, attended a screening of "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Apparently, the two -- already "big fans" of "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" -- did as any other moviegoer did: bought tickets, purchased some popcorn and sodas, and settled into their seats to wait for the show to begin.
Bhagavan Antle, direct or of the chimps' residence Myrtle Beach Safari, said Vali and Sugriva are big movie lovers in general.
"The older one, Vali, is a very bright guy, he's watched the 'Lord of The Rings' many times, and he could follow the whole plot of the movie," he noted.

Tempting fate? Playing with fire? This next story certainly qualifies.
Chimps Vali and Sugriva were taken to the opening night of the new Planet of the Apes movie where they sat in attendance with the 1000 other movie goers at the BigD Auditorium in Myrtle Beach.
Bhagavan Antle, director of the Myrtle Beach Safari where the chimps reside, had the following to say about the simian cinephiles:
"The older one, Vali, is a very bright guy, he's watched the Lord Of The Rings many times, and he could follow the whole plot of the movie. He loves to clap - when he likes something he claps, so he clapped for the good guys, and when chimps don't like what's happening they hoot or bark, so when the bad guy came on he was barking.".
Here's hoping that they didn't pick up any ideas from Koba.

We've watched many beautiful friendships blossom over the years - Thelma & Louise, George Clooney and Brad Pitt - but we're not sure if we've ever seen a companionship this cute. (No offense, George and Brad). Vali the 16-month-old chimp and Bam Bam the 5-month-old grizzly bear made fast friends at Myrtle Beach Safari park, where they put their differences aside to play, cuddle, and more or less, melt our hearts. The pair were introduced after the South Carolina's park staff realized they were about the same size. "We got them out there playing on a sunny day, and they went on and on for hours,...
