Thunderbirds Are Go! returned to our screens tonight (April 4), leaving viewers wondering whether it could top the 1960s original.
The classic theme tune and countdown open the show but there are no strings in sight for this version of Gerry Anderson's story, as the Tracy brothers move to complete CGI animation.
Initial reaction to images released of the brothers weren't fantastic - but what did Twitter think of it on-screen? Digital Spy rounds up viewers' opinions here:
Episode one drew favourable opinions, with many praising it for being a programme that the entire family can enjoy:
Hats off to the Thunderbirds remake. My show was the one I first saw in 1965. But the new one's smart & inventive & fun & I'm glad it's here

It seems Ridley Scott is going the opposite direction Darren Aronofsky went with Noah when it comes to interpreting the more magical and mystical events to be told in his upcoming Biblical epic Exodus: Gods and Kings. Aronofsky made use of rock monsters to explain how one family could construct an ark that would carry two of all the world's species of animals, but when it comes to the parting of the Red Sea in Exodus, Scott turned to science rather than magic. "You can't just do a a giant parting, with walls of water trembling while people ride between them," Scott told Entertainment Weekly, saying he wasn't convinced when he saw Charlton Heston do it in Cecil B. DeMille's The Ten Commandments (1956). "I didn't believe it then, when I was just a kid sitting in the third row. I remember that feeling, and thought that I'd better come...

Three new posters from Ridley Scott's upcoming Biblical epic "Exodus: Gods and Kings" have arrived courtesy of 20th Century Fox and The IMDb. Christian Bale's Moses and Joel Edgerton's Rameses take center stage in the one-sheets for the December 12th release.
These hit as a very minor controversy is being chewed over on Christian websites according to THR. Talking with a group of reporters last month in Los Angeles, Bale spoke about his role as Moses and says: "I think the man was likely schizophrenic and was one of the most barbaric individuals that I ever read about in my life."
That line, along with a comment by Ridley Scott that the famed parting of the Red Sea sequence will apparently be due to an earthquake in the film has caused a bit of a stir.

If there is one thing producer Mark Burnett proved with the February release of Son of God, it’s that he knows how to reach a Christian audience. His film, which relied primarily on footage shot from his successful Bible mini-series, has earned close to $60 million domestically — a gross achieved primarily from faith-based consumers encouraged to attend by their churches, which Burnett and producing partner/wife/actress Roma Downey courted enthusiastically.
Now the two devout Christians are joining up with Paramount/MGM on the remake of the 1959 film Ben-Hur, which is already slated to debut on February 26, 2016. From a script...

There's a lot at stake with the release this Friday of "Noah," and not just for the filmmakers or the studio that sunk a reported $160 million into the film.
In a year when Hollywood is releasing several Bible-inspired movies, "Noah" has become the test case for a number of issues -- whether Hollywood can earn the trust of fundamentalist Christians (and whether it's worth risking money and controversy even to try), whether it's possible to make big-budget spectacles that please both religious viewers and secular action-film fans, and whether directors can make Bible-themed movies that adhere to doctrine without compromising artistically or making dull propaganda.
It would be easy to see this saga as a story of just two players. On the one side is Hollywood, represented here by "Noah" studio Paramount, which would like to attract Christian viewers, and which has practically bent over backward to do so, testing...

Listen, I know we all love Twitter (don’t we?). The short-yet-still-sweet posts. The bird-shaped logo. The ability to follow your favorite celebrities and find out the intimate details of their eating and sleeping habits. Yet it’s not enough to simply Tweet your Tweetings on Twitter. Nor is it enough to watch Tweets cycle through the lower third of every TV show in existence or see entire TV series aired on Twitter. No, what we truly need is TV show about Twitter – and Lionsgate Television has graciously stepped in to fill that niche. The studio is crafting a show out of Nick Bilton‘s best-selling book, ”Hatching Twitter: A True Story of Money, Power, Friendship and Betrayal,” which documents the rise of the 140 character social media craze. You see, Twitter was the product of four men – Evan Williams, Jack Dorsey, Christopher Stone, and Noah Glass. And then, Williams had Glass fired from the group and expunged...

ITV have released the voting figures for this year’s Britain’s Got Talent series and they proved that in most cases, the judging panel sent the right act through to Saturday’s final show.
Each night, when the judges chose between the acts in second and third place, they made the right decision, except on Tuesday 1st of June when they saved boyband Connected at the expense of singing doorman Neil Fullard.
On that occasion, Neil received 17.2% of the public vote, while Connected got only 15.2%.
The figures also revealed that winning group Spelbound attracted a whopping 62% of the public vote on their semi final show, the highest result of the week and in second place were Tina and Chandi, with 58.1% on Tuesday night.

Christopher Stone ‘the singing accountant’ made his Britain’s Got Talent return on tonight’s final show.
Christopher impressed the judges on Thursday night’s semi final and won their vote after his impressing rendition of ‘The Impossible Dream.’ After hearing him sing Simon Cowell praised Chris saying:
“Just to see the transformation from where you were and to see you come out tonight with confidence and a real charisma and nail a song like that. I’m really proud of you!”

On who she wants to win Amanda Holden told The Sun that she is backing Spelbound, Paul Burling or Chandi and Tina. But she wouldn’t pick one winner. She added: “There is a real mix, so I don’t know.”

Britain’s Got Talent singer Christopher Stone has revealed that his big dream is to represent Britain in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Despite Britain coming last on the show this year, Christopher has admitted that he would try to improve their chances, provided the song was right.
He told The Sun:
“The way we approach Eurovision needs an overhaul. I’d do it providing the song is right.”
“Maybe we need to look at more of a classical singer doing a cross-over piece. Maybe that would help.
“We need to do something otherwise we will be wallowing at the bottom forever.”
Can you see Christopher in the Eurovision or do you think he’s just enjoying some big dreams? Leave your comments below.

Britain’s Got More Talent presenter Stephen Mulhern has revealed his favourite acts and who he thinks can win this year’s Bgt series.
Tina and Chandi, Spelbound, Tobias Mead, Connected, Paul Burling and Christopher Stone have all made it through to Saturday night’s final and will be joined by the top four acts from tonight and tomorrow’s semi finals. On which performers he thinks can win and go on to perform for the Queen, Stephen told Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford:
I think Connected are going to do exceptionally well, Paul like I said last night and Simon’s prediction ….we’ve got to go with that. It grieves me to say it but he’s not normally wrong, so Christopher Stone.
Simon had previously predicted that if Christopher sings ‘Maria’ again on the finale show, he could take the title.
Personally we think Stephen’s chosen badly.

Paul Burling and have become the fifth and sixth acts to make it through to Saturday night’s Britain’s Got Talent final. They join Spelbound, Tobias Mead, Tina and Chandi and Connected on the lineup.
Paul won the public vote outright, not surprising after the gushing comments he received from the judges earlier tonight. After watching his comedy act Simon Cowell said:
“You’ve worked 25 years for this opportunity. The problem with TV at the moment is that it’s snobby. People want fancy French instead of fish and chips. I like fish and chips, you’re fish and chips and you should be in the final.”
Paul’s success left Peridot and Christopher Stone battling it out for the judges backing. Piers and Amanda voted to send Christopher through to the final….they made the wrong choice in our opinion. Simon Cowell agreed with us and admitted that...

Street dance troupe Peridot closed tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent semi final.
They are a troupe of 9 boys who have been together for the last 4 years. Peridot auditioned for the show back in 2009, but failed to make the live rounds. So they needed to make their performance tonight really count if they didn’t want to be eliminated again.
The troupe took to the stage dressed in snazzy blue jackets, white trousers and grey ties and looked very different to other dance troupes who normally stick to a more casual attire. We liked their routine a lot, but apparently the judges didn’t feel the same.
Judge Comments:
Piers Morgan: I really like you guys my disappointment tonight was that there wasn’t enough dancing. It was a lot of body popping but not enough genuine street dancing for me.
Amanda Holden: I am so sorry to...

On tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent, Christopher Stone revealed that he finds his job boring and that he dreams day and night of being a singer.
Christopher then took the the ITV stage and performed a compelling version of ‘The Impossible Dream’ for the judges. There is no doubt that Chris can sing but he lacks something that singers like Paul Potts have brought to the competition before him. Like the other night when Diversity schooled most of the dance acts on the show, this was no Nessun Dorma. Although we enjoyed his performance, we really found it hard to care about whether he gets into the final or not….he failed to engage us with his singing.
Judges Comments:
Piers Morgan: Unlike the audition where you were crippled with nerves, today the confidence, the poise, the mastery of the stage, that was a performance which could grace the West End.

Comedian Paul Burling made his return to the Britain’s Got Talent stage tonight for the show’s semi final. Paul impressed the judges at his initial audition with his cartoon impressions and prompted Piers Morgan to say:
“You are the best impressionist we’ve ever seen on Britain’s Got Talent.”
He revealed tonight that he learned his craft at holiday parks all over the country and admitted that he needs to take advantage of the huge opportunity that Bgt has presented to him.
In a routine that included Alan Carr, Phil Mitchell, Harry Hill and Wallace & Gromit, Paul impressed us much more tonight than he did with his first performance. However, it did seem like he got a much longer amount of time than fellow comedian Kev Orkian on last night’s show….we’ll have to get our stopwatches out later.

Singing accountant Christopher Stone will perform on tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent semi final and in the interview below, the 29 year old talks about his ever present love of music, the largest audience he has ever sang for and his ultimate dream.
When and how did you discover you had your talent?
I’ve always done music, since I was 5 and played the recorder. It wasn’t until I was in my late teens that I discovered I could sing. I was asked to join someone in a competition singing a classical duet. It was an adult competition and we came 2nd, which I thought was pretty good. So, I gave the singing a try, and when I auditioned for Chetham’s School of Music I was asked to do singing as my 1st study instrument instead of my second, and it just took off from there! Britain’s Got Talent hopeful Christopher Stone has admitted that he isn’t interested in looking for love.

Britain’s Got Talent hopeful Christopher Stone has admitted that his mind hasn’t been on the show at all this week, due to his pet dog having one of her legs amputated.
Christopher’s four year old dog Emma was kicked by a horse on Monday and needed to have emergency surgery. The singing accountant is due to sing on tonight’s Bgt semi final and due to the accident, was one of the last acts to travel down to London this week. As well as being worried about his beloved pet’s welfare, Chris was also upset by the fact that he couldn’t afford the £1500 vets bill and almost had to have Emma put down until his family stumped up the cash.
He told The Sun:
“I was panicking as I didn’t have any insurance. I thought I’d have to have her put down but my family stepped in.

Britain’s Got Talent presenters Ant and Dec have been talking about the lack of a Subo moment on this years series of the ITV show.
Susan Boyle amazed audiences all over the world with her audition piece of ‘I Dream A Dream’ in 2009. She shot to fame and became a youtube sensation in the days after her performance aired.
Admitting that they almost achieved that wow factor with singing accountant Christopher Stone, Dec told The Sun:

Ant added: “He was three bars away from finishing the song and would have got a standing ovation if he was allowed to get to the end.”

Britain’s Got Talent hopeful Neil Fullard has revealed that he would love to become the nation’s new Susan Boyle.

Dance teacher Nikki explained to Ant & Dec that ‘Ice was formed to help the children get their confidence and hopefully to believe in themselves.’
The act took to the stage and danced their hearts out in an energetic routine to a mash up of hip hop and pop songs, including Black Eyed Peas I’ve Gotta Feeling.
While Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden were greatly impressed – Piers thought it was ‘very original’, while Amanda called their choreography ‘fantastic – Simon Cowell wasn’t convinced.
He said:

62 year old Marleen Hardy from Bournemouth looked quite promising at first on tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent. She took to the stage with gifts for the judges and began by giving Simon Cowell some devil horns, Amanda Holden some bunny ears and Piers Morgan a red bow tie. She seemed quite kooky but told the judges that she wanted to be a ’serious singer’. She ruined the illusion by not actually being able to sing!
After Marleen killed Joni Mitchell’s ‘Both Sides Now,’ Simon Cowell told her:
You’re funny Marleen but you’re a terrible singer
Amanda Holden added:

Britain’s Got Talent hopeful Janey Cutler has admitted that she is flattered to be compared to last year’s star Susan Boyle, but insisted that she would rather be successful in her own way.
On tonight’s ITV show, Janey wowed the judges with her rendition of French legend Edith Piaf’s Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien. The mum of 7, grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 4 caused Simon Cowell to exclaim that she had “3,003 yesses” while Amanda Holden gushed: “I didn’t expect a set of lungs like that!”. Janey has been touted as this year’s Susan Boyle but speaking to The News Of The World tonight she said:
“It’s flattering to be compared to Susan, but I don’t take any notice of that really.
“I’d like to be successful in my own way. If not, I am just going to enjoy myself.
