Udpate, with additional video: No costumes, but The View didn’t ignore Halloween this year, opening the show with a pre-taped dream sketch in which each of the hosts, bored to tears at a morning staff meeting as producer Brian Teta drones on and on about his podcast, dozes off and has a Trump-inspired nightmare.
Watch the video above.
For Sara Haines and Alyssa Farah Griffin, a shared nightmare had them running through the streets of Manhattan during a Purge-like event, as Trump’s voice speaks of the benefits of “one real, rough nasty day.” Finally, the cohosts come up with the concept of a plan for escape.
Next up was Ana Navarro, lounging on a cruise ship reading Ricky Martin’s memoir when suddenly she’s forced to choose between sharks and electrocution, one of Trump’s weirder fantasy scenarios. “I’m not even on the show today,” Navarro gripes.

Jimmy Kimmel was not impressed with Donald Trump’s mockery of Joe Biden this week. After the U.S. president found himself in a controversy for appearing to call Trump supporters “garbage,” Trump seized on the opportunity to troll Biden by taking photos in a Maga-branded garbage truck. Kimmel said it would’ve been more fitting had Trump gotten in the back of the truck with the actual garbage.
“He went out and rented a garbage truck and put his name on the side,” Kimmel said about Trump’s garbage truck stunt. “Shouldn’t they have put him in the back of that? The garbage goes in the back of the truck.”
Noting Trump’s decision to sport an orange vest, Kimmel remarked, “It really brings out the orange in his face, I have to say.”

Puerto Rican reggaeton star Nicky Jam reversed his support of Donald Trump on Wednesday, telling followers he can no longer stand by the Republican nominee following racist remarks made by Tony Hinchcliffe at a rally last weekend.
“The reason I supported Donald Trump is because I believed it was what’s best for the economy in the United States, where a lot of Latinos live, myself included… a lot of immigrants that are suffering over the state of the economy,” Jam said in Spanish. “With [Trump] being a businessman, I felt it was the right move.”

Nicky Jam has walked back his endorsement of Donald Trump, upset over a comedian’s comments about Puerto Rico that were made at a Madison Square Garden rally earlier this week.
“The reason I supported Donald Trump was because I thought he was the best for the economy in the United States where a lot of Latinos live, a lot of immigrants who are suffering because of the economy,” the recording artist said, per CNN, in an video posted on his Instagram page.
“Never in my life did I think, that one month later there would be a comedian who would criticize my country and speak poorly of my country. And for that I withdraw my support of Donald Trump. Puerto Rico should be respected.”

Jennifer Lopez will join Vice President Kamala Harris at a “When We Vote We Win” rally in Las Vegas on Thursday, October 31.
Lopez, we’re told, will speak on the importance of voting, what’s at stake for the country with this election and why she is endorsing Harris and Governor Tim Walz. Maná will also perform at the rally.
The event is part of the Harris-Walz campaign’s push to Get Out the Vote ahead of the last day of early voting in Nevada on November 1, and leading up to Election Day.
JLo on Sunday shared Harris’ plan on her Instagram story to build Puerto Rico’s economy and its energy grid amid a growing backlash after comedian Tony Hinchliffe called Puerto Rico a “floating pile of garbage” at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally earlier in the day.
Puerto Rican recording artists Bad Bunny and Ricky Martin also have endorsed Harris.

With both the 2024 Presidential election and the Puerto Rican Gubernatorial election rapidly approaching, citizens of the Caribbean island once again found themselves in a delicate position and in the headlines. Donald Trump's latest rally was filled with the kind of hate we've come to expect. However, Latinos and Puerto Rico were specifically singled out this time, with comedian Tony Hinchcliffe comparing the island to a "floating pile of trash" after commenting that Latines "don't pull out." Not only did these comments alienate Puerto Ricans, but they also seem to have bolstered support for Vice President Kamala Harris among the community, as only hours later, she received late-game endorsements from Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, and current global phenomenon Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio - Aka Bad Bunny. And while the self-proclaimed "biggest star in the world" is no stranger to political action, prior to his endorsement, his efforts had been more...

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert had a lot to say about Donald Trump's rally at Madison Square Garden over the weekend. Stephen Colbert's monologue outlined how the event may end up costing the ex-president a chance at winning the election.
Trump filled up New York City's famous Madison Square Garden, bringing along a parade of speakers who created one controversy after another. By the time Trump actually took the stage, many believed the damage was already done.
The most shocking moment came from comedian Tony Hinchcliffe. The insult comic didn't hold back, referring to Puerto Rico as a floating island of garbage.
"Those comments could have massive repercussions for Trump," Colbert said. "Because more than 470,000 people of Puerto Rican descent live in Pennsylvania alone. And you're not going to win over a half a million people by insulting their homeland."

Ana Navarro and Sunny Hostin did not hold back when discussing the racist jokes made during Donald Trump’s rally in New York City on Sunday. During Monday’s episode of The View, the two Latina hosts slammed Tony Hinchcliffe’s jokes as he opened for Trump with a horrid comedy set.
During Sunday’s rally, Hinchcliffe made headlines for describing Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage,” saying that Latinos “love making babies,” and joked that Black people “carve watermelons” instead of pumpkins.

Bad Bunny, Jennifer Lopez and Ricky Martin were among those showing support for Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris on Sunday night after a comedian made a racist joke about Puerto Rico at Donald Trump’s rally on Sunday.
At the rally, which was held at New York’s Madison Square Garden, stand-up comedian Tony Hinchcliffe made lewd and racist comments about Latinos, Jews and Black people, all of whom are key constituencies in the election, which is just nine days away.
“I don’t know if you guys know this, but there’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico,” Hinchcliffe said during the rally.
Hinchcliffe’s joke was immediately criticized by Harris’ campaign as it competes with Trump to win over Puerto Rican communities in Pennsylvania and other swing states.

The hosts of “The View” did not take kindly to the bashing of people of color — particularly Puerto Ricans — that happened at Donald Trump’s campaign rally over the weekend. So on Monday morning, host and fellow Puerto Rican Sunny Hostin fired back.
In case you missed it, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe called Puerto Rico “literally a floating island of garbage” while speaking ahead of Trump at a New York City rally on Sunday, and later said Latinos “love making babies too. Just know that. They do. They do. There’s no pulling out. They don’t do that. They come inside. Just like they did to our country.”
Trump himself did not condemn those comments, coming out on stage just a few hours later.

The View‘s cohosts got right to the business of blasting what was said at Donald Trump’s New York City rally on Monday’s (October 28), with Sunny Hostin taking the lead to speak directly against Tony Hinchcliffe’s opening “joke” that Puerto Rico is a “floating island of garbage.” “This Puerto Rican has something to say about the island that I love, where my family is from. ‘Puerto Rico is trash.’ We are Americans, Donald Trump, American. We voluntarily serve disproportionately high in the military while you have bone spurs, and we vote,” she said to start before citing the number of Puerto Ricans living in swing states. “By the way, Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Bad Bunny, Luis Fonsi, and Marc Anthony have over 345 million followers on Instagram. I think you only have 26 million, since you care so much about size,” Hostin continued. “And we don’t like what was said about Puerto Rico,...

Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro and their fellow cohosts on The View tore into Donald Trump and the other speakers at last night’s rally at Madison Square Garden, during which right-wing comedian Tony Hinchcliffe said that Puerto Rico was a “floating island of garbage.”
Trump, who spoke after Hinchcliffe, did not condemn the remarks.
Today’s View kicked off in high gear, with Hostin delivering the opening remarks.

Jennifer Lopez and Ricky Martin have doubled down on their endorsement of Kamala Harris for president. Their public support came following Donald Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden in New York on Sunday night, which featured comedian Tony Hinchcliffe calling Puerto Rico a “floating pile of garbage.”
On her Instagram story, Lopez — who previously proclaimed Harris as her pick for president — shared slides from Harris’ campaign following the backlash to Hinchcliffe’s set. Several came from a post by Harris detailing what she would do to support Puerto Rico economically if elected.

Bad Bunny, Jennifer Lopez and Ricky Martin were among the notable industry figures who boosted Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris on Sunday after a speaker at Donald Trump’s political rally at New York’s Madison Square Garden called Puerto Rico “a floating island of garbage.”
The starkly racist comment stirred outrage among prominent Puerto Ricans and many others in media and entertainment.
“There’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico,” said Tony Hinchcliffe, a comedian and podcaster who was one of many speakers before Trump took the stage at the famed concert arena on Sunday evening.

Bad Bunny, the Puerto Rican recording artist, and Jennifer Lopez today expressed support for Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, as they shared a video of the vice president’s plans for the U.S. territory.
They each highlighted their backing of Harris on their Instagram accounts as Donald Trump held a rally at Madison Square Garden in which one of the speakers, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, called Puerto Rico a “floating pile of garbage.”
In the video shared by Bad Bunny, Harris said, “I will never forget what Donald Trump did, and what he did not do, when Puerto Rico needed a caring and a competent leader. He abandoned the island, tried to block aid after back-to-back devastating hurricanes and offered nothing more than paper towels and insults.” The recording artist has 45.6 million Instagram followers.

Donald Trump’s rally today at Madison Square Garden was marked by an opening lineup of speakers who joked about Puerto Rico being a “floating pile of garbage,” ranted about “f—ing illegals” and declared that Kamala Harris was the “antichrist.”
The extreme rhetoric is often a feature at Trump events, but in a neck-and-neck presidential race, when campaigns have traditionally tried to display messages of unity in the final days before an election, the rally stoked racial division and highlighted stereotypes.
Tony Hinchcliffe, a comedian, said of Latinos: “they love making babies. They do. They do. There’s no pulling out. They don’t do that. They come inside, just like they did to our country.”
He also said, “There is literally a floating pile of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico.” He also joked about Black people carving watermelons for Halloween.

Donald Trump’s hope to court Puerto Ricans in the 2024 presidential election may have backfired thanks to a crass joke made by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe during a rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. Not long after, Bad Bunny, perhaps the most popular musician to ever hail from Puerto Rico, endorsed Trump’s rival, Kamala Harris.
During a set prior to Trump’s own remarks, Hinchcliffe called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean.” He also said Latinos “love making babies,” adding, “They do. I had just sent a voice note to my friend when a curious feeling came over me. "Let me listen back to it," I thought to myself. As I did, an even stranger feeling came over me, a lack of recognition of my own voice. You see, I've been code-switching so long that sometimes I'm unsure where the real me begins. Obviously, this was my friend, so I was being genuine in my language. However, as someone who has been a professional for many years, as well as an academic, the voice that I heard on playback was just one of many. And for a lot of modern-day Latines, this is another aspect of the identity politics we have to reconcile with. That's why it's refreshing to see that recently many Latine celebs have been more candid about the pressure they've felt to code-switch or "talk white" and are openly...

As Carol Burnett makes Emmy Awards history this weekend, Abe Sylvia is reflecting on his collaboration with the comedy legend.
The Palm Royale creator explained that he had the “biggest imposter syndrome” after Burnett came to be cast as wealthy comatose matriarch Norma Dellacorte in his Apple TV+ series, which was renewed for a second season back in June.

VIP clients devoted to luxury group Kering’s impressive stable of high-end brands mingled with heavy-duty Hollywood star power on Monday night at the third-annual Kering Foundation “Caring for Women” Dinner, which raises funds to support NGOs working to eradicate all forms of violence against women. Even with the 81st Venice Film Festival winding down and both the Toronto International Film Festival and New York Fashion Week in full swing, the stars showed up at Kering’s splashy event at The Grill + The Pool at New York’s Seagram Building.
Several stars in attendance already demonstrate a proactive commitment to the evening’s theme: supporting and empowering women. “Anyone who looks at my Instagram or any speech I’ve ever given knows that it’s very important for me to work as a society to eradicate all gender-based violence,” Jessica Chastain told The Hollywood Reporter. “It hurts people. It hurts our planet.

General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease there’s something off with Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi). She seemed to switch gears in a recent scene and didn’t seem like herself-postpartum depression might be understandable, but this seemed like another Kristina!

I have always said that Apple TV+ is tiny, but mighty when it comes to its programming. Even though it doesn’t have a menu of show (or movie) options as large as other streamers, such as Netflix or Hulu, it’s quality over quantity for us here at Show Snob. That said, Apple TV+ is not a service you want to sleep on.
If you don’t currently have an Apple TV+ subscription, you’re missing out on great quality TV! I’m talking clever writing, engaging stories, and brilliant talent. But make no mistake, no platform is perfect, Apple TV+ does have a show we would rather skip.
