Here’s a fun fact to blow your minds: Yes, technically, Knots Landing is a spin-off from mega-hit Dallas. Gary Ewing is the middle brother of Jr and Bobby Ewing, who made one appearance on the Mother Ship show, played by David Ackroyd before Ted Shackelford took over the role for the next decade-plus.
But the original Kl concept pre-dated Dallas. It was supposed to be an American version of the Swedish series Scenes From a Marriage by Ingemar Bergman. That series didn’t get picked up. But when CBS wanted a Dallas spin-off, Lorimar made one of the characters a Ewing, and we were off to the races! You can watch the entire series from the start right here on Amazon Prime. Here’s why you should definitely do that.

Below Deck, fans will never forget the explosive van ride on Below Deck Season 7, where Ashton Pienaar nearly punched Chief Stew, Kate Chastain.
It was one of the hit-yachting franchise’s most awful, horrible, and toxic moments.
Ashton punched the van window while Chef Kevin Dobson and Deckhand Brian de Saint Pern tried to calm him down.
That moment was a defining one for Ashton, who opened up about it as he watched the scene back after “6 years of therapy.”
Taking to Instagram, Ashton shared the clip from the van ride with a photo of himself watching it.
Ashton spoke out in the video of the experience that gave him the life he has now and wrote a lengthy caption.

Below Deck chefs often struggle with huge egos, leading to conflicts with crew members and subpar performance. While some chefs, like Chef Rachel Hargrove, manage their egos well, others, like Chef Kevin Dobson, let their confidence get the best of them. The culinary creativity and pressure faced by Below Deck chefs set them apart from interior and exterior crew members, making their job uniquely challenging.
Several Below Deck franchise chefs have had huge egos. The yachting reality show spotlights the lives of the crew members working on superyachts. While the Chief Stew leads the interior team and the Bosun the exterior, the Chefs are left alone to work by themselves. They are tasked with feeding all the guests and crew members. However, sometimes, the Below Deck chefs can't handle the pressure and get fired mid-charter season. Below Deck season 11s Chef Anthony Iracane was a beloved part of the cast...

Paris Field calls out Chef Nick for a disastrous meal on Below Deck, showing loyalty to Fraser Olender. Chef Nick's journey on Below Deck season 11 has been rocky, but he may improve in season 12 if given another chance. Paris strategically slams Chef Nick, likely to boost her social media presence and gain more support on the show.
Paris Field takes a shot at Chef Nick Tatlock after his recent blunder on Below Deck. The Australian stew recently joined the show in Below Deck season 11, episode 10. She replaced the former Stew Cat Baugh and took on her responsibilities. Little did Paris know, she was walking into a big disaster. The new stew had no idea that her Chief Steward Fraser Olender was dealing with too many problems to come over. One such issue was his differences with Chef Nick. Fraser didnt like Chef Nick's food and felt it could be much better.

Chef Anthony Iracane brings new flavor to Below Deck season 11. He shares culinary skills and sparks dramatic moments. Natasha De Bourg, David White, Kevin Dobson, and others may have been forgotten, but their dishes left a mark on viewers. Tom Checketts, Adrian Martin, Ileisha Dell, Matt Burns, and Nate Post had highs and lows during their stints on the show.

Kiko Lorran, Kevin Dobson, and Leon Walker are among the worst Below Deck chefs due to various failures in the kitchen and clashes with crew. The inability to handle high-pressure situations, conflicts with crew members, and serving subpar meals led to these chefs' dismissals from the show. Despite their culinary skills, some chefs like Kiko, Kevin, and Leon struggled with meeting guest expectations and maintaining professionalism, resulting in their downfall.

Chefs on Below Deck can have unpredictable and mean attitudes, but they have become memorable cast members. I know I'm not only getting old, but I'm there already. That's apparent in the fact that I remember seeing the 1981 comedy "All Night Long" at an advanced critic's screening in New York. Back in those prehistoric days before the internet, you had to read trade industry publications to get the background story or buzz on forthcoming films. Sure, the general public was always aware that expensive epics were experiencing production problems, but everyday movie fans were generally unaware of the scuttlebutt on mid-range fare. Within industry circles, however, the word-of-mouth was negative about the film despite the fact that it starred Gene Hackman and Barbra Streisand, both then very much at the peak of their acting careers. The film had gone through some almost surrealistic production problems that involved high profile people and had come in massively over the original budget estimate. I recalled thinking the...

Walter Mirisch’s slam-bang, eardrum-pounding Sensurround stock footage orgy for the Centennial Year gathers an impressive lineup of big stars to celebrate the U.S. Navy’s biggest aircraft carrier battle: Charlton Heston, Henry Fonda, James Coburn, Glenn Ford, Hal Holbrook, Toshiro Mifune. Director Jack Smight manages the talky, exposition-laden account of a sprawling, complicated battle rather well, at least in terms of clarity. What is unwatchable pan-scanned on TV isn’t half bad for fans of big-scale war movies. Pi gives us an approximation of Sensurround (I think), and also John Ford’s short subject The Battle of Midway from 1942.

Even though Sunday’s SAG Awards ceremony will be shortened to just one pre-taped hour on TNT and TBS, the special In Memoriam segment will still be a highlight. After seeing Cassie Scerbo’s fantastic performance in Sharknado I made it a point to track down and watch anything new movie she was in, which coupled with the ridiculous new re-titling (this film originally aired on Us television as Beasts of the Bering Sea), made Damn Sea Vampires! a must-watch. It doesn’t hurt that the film is also helmed by cinematographer Don E.
