Apparently TV can’t get enough “Melrose Place.” The campy sudser from the 1990s, which was already rebooted once in the 2010s, is looking to make another comeback — and this time with three of the Og stars. Heather Locklear, Laura Leighton and Daphne Zuniga are all back to reprise their roles in the latest reboot, this time from writer Lauren Gussis.
Gussis will also exec produce with Leighton, Zuniga, Tiffany Grant and Jason Weinberg. Here’s the logline: “When one of their dearest friends dies suddenly, the Og residents of Melrose Place gather to honor the deceased. But the pressure cooker of a reunion soon uncovers old traumas, rekindles old romances, reignites old resentments, and reveals new secrets… throwing our characters into chaotic drama that’s reminiscent of the past, but with a much more modern perspective.”
CBS Studios is behind the reboot, based on the series created by Darren Star.

Guess who’s back in the house! No, really, Drag Race fans were left to ponder that very question after a sneak peek suggested that a mysterious ninth queen would be joining the first winners-only edition of All Stars.
So, who pulled off this Alexis Carrington-inspired werkroom entrance? As many an eagle-eyed tweeter predicted, the queen under that enormous hat was none other than Raven, the runner-up of both Drag Race Season 2 and All Stars Season 1. “I identify as a winner,” Raven explained while the eight pre-announced queens looked on with understandable confusion.

When Rachel Dratch makes her entrance in the Broadway, all-female ensemble farce Potus: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive, audiences respond with an enthusiasm that feels like the greeting of an old friend. Best known for the 1999 to 2006 stint on NBC’s Saturday Night Live that saw her holding her own among some of the show’s most popular casts – Will Farrell, Tina Fey, Jimmy Fallon, Amy Poehler, Seth Meyers and Darrell Hammond were just a few of the all-stars during those seasons – Dratch created one of SNL’s most enduring characters with in Debbie Downer, a never look on the bright side type who could sink even the happiest occasion with a gloomy observation. “Did you factor in the loss of life at the hands of the African diamond industry?”, Debbie might say to a newly engaged family member, at Thanksgiving no less.

A spoilerific look into the next season of the CW hit.
Last Tuesday, DC revealed that Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) will don an adapted version of the Kid Flash costume in the premiere episode of The Flash Season 3 entitled “Flashpoint”. The surprise posting, along with official confirmation of the title alluded to in the Season Two finale and “leaked” on Twitter last month, were only the first newsworthy developments from the show’s first week of filming.

While Zoom may be the big bad of The Flash‘s second season, the spotlight of this evening’s instalment will be firmly on Eobard Thawne. He’s the villain who took centre stage last year while disguised as Dr. Harrison Wells, and thanks to the mysteries of time travel, the Reverse-Flash is back in the land of the living despite being erased from history.
However, this is a version of that villain from an earlier point in time, and it’s been said that the episode is essentially going to be his origin story.

This week’s episode of The Flash is going to be a big one, as it looks set to deal with the origin story of the Reverse-Flash, a character who was wiped from history the last time we saw him in the season one finale. If that sounds confusing, don’t worry, as time travel is something which the show has so far done an excellent job of making accessible to viewers.
For more details about what to expect from this episode of The Flash – rather appropriately titled “The Reverse-Flash Returns” – here’s the official synopsis:

Now that The Flash has returned from its winter hiatus, it looks as though fans can expect everything including the kitchen sink in upcoming episodes. Next week’s brand new episode, which is titled “The Reverse-Flash Returns” (yes, his name is now suddenly hyphenated), had fans talking as soon as it was announced the character would be returning. Thankfully, The CW just released an extended look at what is sure to be a white knuckle ride of an episode, which can be viewed above.
One of the many things that will make this episode an interesting viewing is that The Reverse-Flash will be played by Matthew Letscher, whom fans will remember as the true face of Eobard Thawne. This iteration of the character actually happens to be from an alternate timeline and, as Earth 2 Harrison Wells says in the trailer, “This is his origin story.” I have complete faith...

It was revealed last year that Matthew Letscher had been asked to return to The Flash as the villainous Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash, and while Zoom is the big bad of season two, this character is all anyone has been talking about ever since. It’s pretty easy to understand why when you think about it though. After all, the last time we saw Thawne, he was being erased from history.
So, how has he returned? The official synopsis below doesn’t shed too much light on that, but with Earth-2 factoring into this season of The Flash, could he be a doppelgänger? That remains to be seen, but here’s the description for the episode – appropriately titled “The Reverse-Flash Returns!” – courtesy of The CW:

The West family is about to experience some Major drama on The Flash now that Francine West, aka Iris' mom and Joe's wife, is back in Central City. The problem? Joe doesn't want his ex in town. Joe told everyone she was dead, so that's why he isn't exactly pleased that she has returned. In E! News' exclusive clip of "Family of Rogues," Joe (Jesse L. Tonight, Vanessa Williams makes her debut appearance on CW's hit superhero drama series "The Flash," as Iris West's mother, long believed to be dead. Iris is played by Candice Patton, whose father, and thus, Vanessa Williams' would-be husband on the show, is played by Jesse L. Martin (aka Joe West). Fans of the series will know that the whereabouts of Iris' mother haven't really been addressed on the show yet, although it's only been 1 season. In fact, she's barely referenced, if at all, as I recall. I think I just assumed that she wasn't alive. Clearly, she is, as Iris, and the audience will witness tonight, at 8pm on the CW. Airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm (Et) on CW
It was in issue #123 of The Flash (released in 1961), that Barry Allen accidentally vibrated his molecules at lightning speed and found himself transported to Keystone City. And it was in this parallel universe that he met Jay Garrick of Earth-Two for the first time. Even since The Flash TV show started to dabble with time travel, fans of D.C. Comics have been hoping to see this reunion unfold on the small screen, and now that we finally got what we wanted, I have to admit, it was pretty spectacular. Things play out a little differently, of course, but that was to be expected, and fans of the comic shouldn’t have a problem since the execution was outright entertaining from start to finish.

Things are about to get very complicated for the West family, and the long lost wife of Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and mother of Iris (Candice Patton) is set to make her grand entrance sometime during season 2 of the CW’s The Flash, as played by Candyman actress Vanessa Williams.
Variety reported the news, but also mention that all details relating to the manner of her return and the exact episode she’ll debut in are being kept under wraps – though we can speculate based on the DC Comics history of the character(s). See, Iris West actually has two mothers: Nadine West (the most likely candidate), and Fran Russell, her biological mother from the thirteenth century. This show’s messing around with time travel and is in the process of setting up an alternate reality, so anything’s possible.
