This year's crop of films features a number of new faces and fresh plots to immerse you in the scent of pine trees and the sound of Christmas carols, as well as some relatively familiar faces, such as John Travolta's sister Ellen, who stars in "Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up."

The 40 films will air on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 8 p.m. Et, with additional features also airing every Thursday on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel, with a few exceptions. Hallmark has revealed that it will have 40 all-new, original movies for both its flagship channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, as well as special content for Hallmark Movies Now, the company’s subscription streaming service.
Even though the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes impacted TV and film productions, Hallmark anticipated the labor dispute by getting a head start on production in Canada. “Christmas is a year-round business at Hallmark, so we were able to mitigate early in the year understanding that the strikes were unfortunately imminent,” Lisa Hamilton Daly, EVP of programming at Hallmark Media, was recently quoted as saying. “We’re grateful to meet all our goals for a full, all-new holiday slate and to bring our viewers the content they love most to celebrate the season.”

In the "Star Trek: The Next Generation" episode "Booby Trap", the Enterprise-D discovered -- floating in a vast asteroid field -- an ancient Promellian battle cruiser, a ship that had been built 1,000 years earlier. Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) mentions that the cruiser was engaging in space battles when Earth was barely perfecting the crossbow and that he -- an archaeology buff -- used to build models of similar ships as a boy. The Promellians, he explains, were once engaged in a costly and prolonged war with a species called the Menthars. The Promellian/Menthar war entirely wiped out both species a millennium ago, and derelict ships from the conflict are quite rare indeed.

No amount of talking points could prepare Shaun for dinner with Lea’s parents on Monday’s episode of The Good Doctor. No, that “predictable disaster” went exactly as Lea had feared.
For starters, Lea’s mom Pam (Nip/Tuck‘s Julie Warner) essentially asked Shaun if being autistic makes his job more difficult. And because that wasn’t awful enough, her dad, Mike (Riverdale‘s Barclay Hope), went and asked Shaun for his opinion on vaccines — even though there’s no link between autism and vaccines. To alleviate the tension, Dr. Murphy interjected with an anecdote about a terminal...

For someone that’s managed to snag roles in a couple of very memorable movies, it would appear that Julie Warner has kind of slipped a bit in terms of her career since she’s still working, but currently she’s not really doing much that people might recognize her in. Her story reads as one might expect of a stereotypical actor, apart from graduating from college before she made her way to Los Angeles to get her career started. Some folks might have expected her to drop out or somehow find that school just wasn’t her thing since let’s be honest, a

In the can for what appears to have been an eternity (some of the footage dates back as far as 2013), the film does at last have a release date. I say at last, but I’m not sure it was at the top of anyone’s list of movie treasure troves. Dozens Of ‘Star Trek’ Actors Converge For Snoop Dogg’s Parody Pic ‘Unbelievable’ – Watch The Trailer
It’s a Trekkie delight. No idea why so many Star Trek actors thought this was a great idea, but they did. Snoop Dogg seems to be the furthest thing away from sci-fi as you can get, but he’s one of the stars Unbelievable, a parody film that uses a puppet for James T. Kirk. Watch the trailer for below.
The original score was written/composed by Emmy-winning, Oscar-nominated Gerald Fried — the last living composer from the original Star Trek series.

Also in the film are Casper Smart, Sam Asghari, Gilbert Gottfried and newcomer Katarina Van Derham.

The Enterprise is enjoying some quiet time (Picard's phrase, not mine) so Geordie and Worf are hanging out in Ten Forward. Geordi is trying to catch the attention of Christy Henshaw, but is too shy to go and talk to her. When La Forge tries to stop Worf staring, Worf advises him that "you must let her see the fire in your eyes" - apparently oblivious to Geordi's lack of visible eyes.
This awkwardness is interrupted when Riker calls Geordi away, and the two head to a planet to investigate a crashed vessel. It's an escape pod with one badly injured survivor. They need to transport him to the ship, but his brain is too damaged and can't take the strain. Crusher rigs up the tricorder to...

One of AOL's biggest series is bringing back its big cars in a big way. Little Women, Big Cars, which follows four soccer moms as they navigate their suburban lives, has returned for a second season on the site's AOL On video portal. The four titular little women are played by actresses Amy Yasbeck, Julie Warner, Kristy Swanson, and Anita Barone, and each one must navigate her own network of current husbands, ex-husbands, boyfriends, daughters, soccer practices, minivans, and all the other elements that compose the lifestyle of your average stay-at-home soccer mom. All nineteen episodes have been released via AOL On Parenting, where they can be viewed in a single, two hour long binge. The first season of Little Women, Big Cars was an instant hit for AOL. The series stars Joey Lauren Adams (Chasing Amy, The Break-Up), Julie Warner (Nip/Tuck, Tommy Boy), Lourdes Benedicto (V, 24) and Brennen Hesser (So noTORIous)—four women who are not only super moms but actual superheroes, faced with the challenges of both dirty diapers and dirty tricks from their arch-enemy, Dr. Deconstructo. The show also features football and reality star, Hank Baskett, as the "man behind a SuperMom." The eight episode series features a retro-style (reminiscent of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog) that blends live-action and animated superhero story lines, with new episodes debuting Tuesdays on Facebook. NEW YORK -- This gently titled film has to do with the world of female gymnastics, which instantly provides it with a commercial hook. Much like "Bring It On", the cheerleading movie also written by this film's writer-director Jessica Bendinger, "Stick It" spends an inordinate amount of time ogling the tight, lithe bodies of its young female characters. Thus, what might have appealed only to teen girls might well have crossover appeal to leering young boys as well.
Yes, there is an inspirational plot of sorts in the film, which mainly involves advising young people to defy the rules of their chosen sport and seek only personal satisfaction and glory rather than strive for discipline and honor.
The central character is 17-year-old Haley Graham (Missy Peregrym), a rebel without a cause who, after getting into some trouble with the law, is sentenced by a judge to do time at an elite gymnastics academy. (Apparently, Texas, where the story is set, has loosened its forms of punishment).
Thus, Haley is reunited with the same girls she let down when she abruptly walked out of a championship competition years before. Given a dose of tough love by her new, hard-nosed coach (Jeff Bridges), she reluctantly takes up the sport again. Despite the ire of her teammates, particularly her chief competitor Joanne (Vanessa Lengies), Haley finds herself inspired to again lead her group to the championships.
It comes as no surprise that the director, making her feature debut, has music video experience because "Stick It" is filmed in a hyperkinetic, in your face style that will induce headaches in anyone who has passed their teens. Equally assaulting is the ultra-loud rock soundtrack, featuring music by the likes of Missy Elliott, Electric Six, K7 and My Morning Jacket.
The film might well inspire young girls to take up the sport, especially because its egregious climactic segment features the characters engaging in routines more inspired by "Flashdance" than anything ever seen at the Olympics.
On every other level, the film is thoroughly ordinary, with the only distinction being Bridges' typically unaffected and engaging performance. Still, as with Tommy Lee Jones' recent "Man of the House", it's depressing to see this distinguished actor, a four-time Oscar nominee, playing second fiddle to skimpily dressed teens.
Peregrym displays some charisma, as well as her firm physique, in the central role, and among those adult performers showing up as aggrieved parents are Julie Warner, Jon Gries and Gia Carides.

Bravo has ordered six episodes of a Howie Mandel vehicle originally set up at NBC. The tentatively titled "Hidden Howie" could air on the cable network as early as the fourth quarter. The improvisational half-hour series stars Mandel as himself interacting with a mix of actors and real people. "Howie" also will incorporate hidden-camera skits similar to segments he performs on NBC's "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno". Co-starring with Mandel are Julie Warner ("Nip/Tuck") as his wife and Estelle Harris ("Seinfeld") as his grandmother.
NEW YORK -- Lifetime said Thursday that it will launch a second night of original series, investing $800 million in program development during the next two years. With two new hourlong dramas headed to Saturday and three new reality series joining the schedule, the cable network boasted its biggest slate yet at its upfront presentation at the Grand Hyatt in Manhattan. "They're all engaging stories with women who have complex relationships," executive vp entertainment Barbara Fisher said. "They're exactly what our viewers want to watch." With Sunday stocked with returning dramas The Division and Strong Medicine, Lifetime will choose two new series from a pool of four mystery-themed pilots developed for Saturday. They are 1-800-Missing, which features ER star Gloria Reuben as an FBI detective who teams with a psychic (Lions Gate Television); Follow the Leeds, which stars Sharon Lawrence and Marsha Mason as two members of a family of private investigators (Lifetime); Nick and Shelly, which focuses on a divorced couple played by Julie Warner and Adrian Pasdar who solve crimes together (Sony Pictures Television); and Wild Card, which stars Joely Fisher as a blackjack dealer who becomes an insurance-fraud investigator (Fireworks Entertainment).
You can practically hear the sighs of the women in the audience who relate to the problems of the three heroines of "Wedding Bell Blues", a debut feature by Dana Lustig that was part of the Official Competition at the Hamptons International Film Festival. Starring Illeana Douglas, Paulina Porizkova and Julie Warner as friends faced with the crisis of being unmarried at 30, the comic film strikes a chord that should help it win decent-sized audiences for its theatrical release before it enjoys a long life on video and cable.
Roommates Jasmine, Micki and Tanya are all experiencing romantic difficulties. Micki (Warner) has just been left by her fiance on the eve of their wedding; he explains that he doesn't "ache" for her. The beautiful Tanya (Porizkova) has found out she's pregnant, and her well-heeled boyfriend (Richard Edson) isn't ready to get married and have a family.
And the cynical, wisecracking Jasmine (Douglas, who by now has this film persona down pat) has just attended her younger sister's wedding, where she is treated with pity and concern by the members of her family.
The three decide on a whim to head to Vegas, where they'll get married and divorced in the space of 24 hours, reasoning that it's better to be able to say that they've been married than not. Once there, they soon find men eager to cooperate.
Micki hooks up with Cary (John Corbett, from "Northern Exposure"), a happy-go-lucky cowboy who helps her to finally discover what an orgasm is. Tanya meets Oliver Charles Martin Smith), a wealthy divorced businessman who simply wants to be able to send his ex-wife a photo of his beautiful new bride. Jasmine spends a drunken evening with Oliver's crony, Matt (Jonathan Penner), and discovers that she has genuine feelings for her new husband.
As you can imagine, all of these romantic entanglements are sorted out by the final reel, but the fun lies in getting there. Annette Goliti Gutierrez's screenplay provides its three appealing leads with numerous sharp and funny lines, and despite the triviality of the whole enterprise, the film has a truly engaging quality.
It even manages not to make every man in the story look like a complete jerk, offering a more balanced portrait of male-female relationships than, say, "The First Wives Club". Of course, that probably means it won't be as big a hit.
Debbie Reynolds fans, take note: While in Vegas, the women take in a show, and whose should it be but the former "Tammy's". This enables us to be treated to generous excerpts from her nightclub act.
