Laughing in the Wind is a 2001 Chinese television series produced by Zhang Jizhong, starring Li Yapeng and Xu Qing in the leading roles. The series is an adaptation of Louis Cha's novel The Smiling, Proud Wanderer.

At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, a couple fighting together to possess an invincible sword meet with tragedy, leaving their son to fight for power.

Naive Kwok Ching and selfish Wong Yung's adventures lead to the creation of powerful Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre. Manipulated due to kindness, Kwok influences Wong who aids his quest to defend Han Dynasty against Mongolian invasion.
