Not doing this as some movies do creates a false reality that there were times and places where people were not discriminated against and that all whyte people were non discriminatory legitimising gaslighting.

I'm a bit troubled by the scene in episode two where the whyte Norwegian says that he can't find competent multicultural writers. This idea of not being able to find competent people of colour {POC} has been around for ages, including in the USA, where I lived previously. On the other hand, POC know that they have to be more than competent, in fact much better at their jobs than their whyte counterparts, to get ahead.
