- Filiz Ahmet (born 15 April 1981) is a Macedonian-born Turkish stage and screen actress. She is best known for her roles as Zarife in the Turkish TV series Farewell Rumelia and Nigar Kalfa in the TV series Muhtesem Yüzyil.
Filiz Ahmet was born in Skopje, SR Macedonia. She is of Turkish descent. Filiz Ahmet has dual Macedonian and Turkish citizenship. Her mother works as a prompter, while her grandfather, Lüftü Seyfullah, was a Macedonian stage actor and co-founder of the Macedonian-Turkish Theatre.
The first play she watched in the theater was The Idiot, based on the novel by the same name written by Fyodor Dostoevsky. She developed a lifelong passion for theater, and was 6 when she first appeared on stage.
Ahmet's childhood coincided with the Yugoslav Wars. Due to the conflict, her family decided to go to Sweden, and later returned to Macedonia when she was 15. Filiz Ahmet graduated from medical school and then the Academy of Fine Arts in Skopje in 2003.
Ahmet is multilingual and is able to speak Macedonian, Albanian, Turkish, Swedish, English, Serbian, and Bulgarian.
She began as a stage actress and received several performance awards. She did not plan to act on-screen, and her busy theater schedule allowed little time for anything else. However, her breakthrough performance occurred in 2007 when she appeared in the role of Zarife in the series Farewell Rumelia. To make her character more expressive, Ahmet spoke her role in the Macedonian Turkish dialect. After this series, she received offers in various television series. Her next project was Balkan Wedding, where she took the role of Galina in 2009.
In 2010, Ahmet received the role of Nigar Kalfa in a prime-time historical Turkish television series, Muhtesem Yüzyil (The Magnificent Century). The show is very successful in the Balkan region and Turkey, and is broadcast in 45 countries. The series has 204 million viewers worldwide.
Her work with Muhtesem Yüzyil brought her positive responses and acclaim from critics. - Meryem Uzerli was born in Kassel, and has German-Turkish nationality. Her mother is German and her father is Turkish. Her great-grandmother is from Croatia. She embraces and unites both diverse cultures, demonstrated by her two residences - in Berlin and Istanbul. At just 17 years - and thus as the youngest student - she enrolled at the Acting Studio Frese and attended it until she was 20 years old. She settled in Hamburg's Schauspiel Studio Frese and studied acting and theater. The real breakthrough for Meryem came in 2010 with her role as Hürrem Sultan in one of the most successful Turkish series "Muhtesem Yüzyil" (The Magnificient Century).
She has also played in Germany in many TV series, and films, and knows English very well. In "The Magnificent Century" her portrayal of Hürrem Sultan had such an influence that she is remembered for that role. Meral Okay-Sahin-Yilmaz wrote a character of Hürrem and had to choose from all of the actresses in Turkey's agencies, and through process of elimination actresses were selected. Uzerli was the most suitable of them. She was called to Istanbul and took on the role of Hürrem. In 2011 Uzerli won two awards for a best actress for a role of Hürrem Sultan and a TV Stars Special Award. In 2012 she was awarded Best Actress in Drama category for the role of Hürrem Sultan. - Pinar Çaglar Gençtürk was born in 1982 in Izmit, Turkey. She is an actress, known for The Magnificent Century (2011), Ariza (2020) and Our Story (2017).

She was elected Miss Türkiye in 1960 and represented Turkey in the World Beauty Contest. He played very different characters in many films since 1961. Between 1964 and 1968, he starred opposite Yilmaz Güney in 13 films. He worked as a singer between 1970 and 1991. His song "Büklüm Büklüm", composed by Sezen Aksu, became popular. He became known again for his roles in television series in the 2000s.
Çehre, the only daughter of a family of four children, is of Laz origin on her mother's side and Georgian origin on her father's side. He lost his father at a young age, and his family immigrated to Istanbul when he was five years old. He started his education at Mimarsinan Primary School in Istanbul. She dropped out of her secondary education in Fatih. She studied at the Evening Girls' Art School for five years. After graduating from this school, she worked as a secretary in a knitting factory.
In 1959, she was chosen first in the Turkey Beauty Contest organized by the Journalists Association and became Miss Turkey 1960.
She represented Turkey at the Miss World Contest held in London.
She worked as a photo model and model for a while.
She first appeared on stage as an actor in the Children's Department of the Istanbul City Theater in 1961. In the same year, he started his acting career with the movie Wild Gülüm, directed by Ümit Utku. In 1962, she starred in the movie Aci Hayat, directed by Metin Erksan. In 1964, she starred in Osman Seden's Unforgiving Woman, Memduh Ün's "Dag Basini Duman Almis", and Nuri Akinci's Kamali Zeybek. Pire Nuri and Seyyit Han - The Bride of the Land were the last films they starred in together. They divorced in 1968.
Çehre moved away from cinema during the sex movie craze that started in Turkish cinema in the 1970s, and after studying for two years, she worked as a singer. She received support from Zeki Müren in her stage life.
After being engaged for six years, she married national basketball player Yavuz Demir in 1976. This marriage ended in divorce in 1979. Çehre, who moved away from the stage while she was married, did decoration and fashion-related work. After her divorce, she returned to stage life and continued singing until 1991. Her song Büklüm Büklüm, composed by Sezen Aksu, became popular.
Çehre started acting again in 2004, appearing in the television series Haziran Gecesi. She became famous with the character Firdevs Yöreoglu, whom she played in the TV series "Ask-i Memnu", adapted from Halit Ziya Usakligil's novel of the same name.

Born in Izmir in 1980, Selen Öztürk graduated from Hacettepe University State Conservatory Theater Department in 2004. She acted in the plays "Kamelyali Kadin", "Bes Yil Gecince", "Leonce ile Lena" , "Hircin Kiz", "7-Sekspir Müzikali", "Bakarsin Bulutlar Gider" and "Intiharin Genel Provasi".
She won the Youth Special Award in the Musical / Comedy category of the Sadri Alisik Acting Awards and the Ankara Art Institute Commendable Actress Award with her play "7-Sekspir Musical".
She received nominations for Best Actress in the Afife Jale Theater Awards for her role in "Bakarsin Bulutlar Go", and Best Supporting Actress in the Comedy / Musical category at the 2018 Sadri Alisik Actor Awards for her role in the "General Rehearsal of Suicide". She composed the music for the plays The Shrewd Girl and Purgatory, which were exhibited at the Play Workshop, and the plays "Varolmayan Ayse'nin Maceralari" by Bab-i Tiyatro.
