Jessica Marie Alba was born on April 28, 1981, in Pomona, CA, to Catherine (Jensen) and Mark David Alba, who served in the US Air Force. Her father is of Mexican descent (including Spanish and Indigenous Mexican roots), and her mother has Danish, Welsh, English, and French ancestry. Her family moved to Biloxi, MS, when she was an infant. Three years later her father's career brought the family back to California, then to Del Rio, TX, before finally settling in Southern California when Jessica was nine. In love with the idea of becoming an actress from the age of five, she was 12 before she took her first acting class. Nine months later she was signed by an agent. She studied at the Atlantic Theatre Company with founders William H. Macy and David Mamet.

A gifted young actress, Jessica has played a variety of roles ranging from light comedy to gritty drama since beginning her career. She made her feature film debut in 1993 in Hollywood Pictures' comedy Camp Nowhere (1994). Originally hired for two weeks, she got her break when an actress in a principal role suddenly dropped out. Jessica cheerfully admits it wasn't her prodigious talent or charm that inspired the director to tap her to take over the part--it was her hair, which matched the original performer's. The two-week job stretched to two months, and Jessica ended the film with an impressive first credit. Two national TV commercials for Nintendo and J.C. Penney quickly followed before Jessica was featured in several independent films. She branched out into TV in 1994 with a recurring role in Nickelodeon's popular comedy series The Secret World of Alex Mack (1994). She played an insufferable young snob, devoted to making life miserable for the the title character, played by Larisa Oleynik. That same year, she won the role of "Maya" in Flipper (1995) and filmed the pilot for the series. She spent 1995 shooting the first season's episodes in Australia. An avid swimmer and PADI-certified SCUBA diver, Jessica was delighted to be doing a show that allowed her to play with dolphins. The show's success guaranteed it a second season, which she also starred in. Her involvement in the show lasted from 1995 to 1997.

In 1996 she appeared in Venus Rising (1995) as "Young Eve." The next year she appeared on The Dini Petty Show (1989), a Canadian talk show, and spoke about her role in "Flipper" and her general acting career. She began working on P.U.N.K.S. (1998), featuring Randy Quaid, in 1998. In early 1998 she appeared in Brooklyn South (1997) as "Melissa." Jessica was part of Garry Marshall's all-star ensemble romantic comedy, Valentine's Day (2010), which broke box-office records with the largest opening on a four-day President's Day weekend in history. She starred opposite Casey Affleck and Kate Hudson in director Michael Winterbottom's controversial screen adaptation of The Killer Inside Me (2010), based on Jim Thompson's novel, as well as Robert Rodriquez's Machete (2010). Jose Paige was given the screen name Don Alvarado by studio chief Jack L. Warner while they purportedly were driving past the Los Angeles street Alvarado. Paige played a number of starring roles that relied on his Latin good looks, and masculine build, achieving a certain following as a Rudolph Valentino type. He was barely 17 when he left his native Albuquerque and came to Los Angeles where he became fast friends with fellow struggling actor Gilbert Roland. Paige met his future wife Ann Boyar while both were still teenagers and the young couple married and soon after had a daughter named Joy. After six years of marriage Ann Page fell in love with Jack Warner and the marriage to Paige dissolved. Warner waited several more years until his parents died before he divorced his wife, Irma, and married Ann. When asked why she had divorced Paige to marry Warner, Ann Warner joked, "the talkies, of course." In 1928 Warner's studio had ushered in the sound era, and Paige's career like those of so many other silent actors, had suffered. He continued to act, but in supporting roles. He and Ann remained friends, though, and after a long career as an assistant director, Paige was asked by his former wife if he might like to manage the 80,000 acre Arizona cattle ranch she had purchased with Warner. Page had grown up in cattle country, was an experienced horseman and spoke Spanish. He accepted the job and by all accounts was a respected and much-liked manager.

Xavier Atencio was born on 4 September 1919 in Walsenburg, Colorado, USA. He was a writer, known for Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007) and Mary Poppins (1964). He was married to Maureen Sheedy. He died on 10 September 2017 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Beltran started her film career in Hollywood in the uncredited role of Miss Guatemala in the film Pan-Americana (1945) (1945). From 1945 to 2002, in addition to her film roles, Beltran played over 80 roles in film and television, often in smaller roles, always as Mexican women, and then later in her career, as family matriarch types or senoritas. These included guest roles in such popular TV series as The F.B.I. (1965), Bonanza (1959), Lou Grant (1977), Knight Rider (1982), The A-Team (1983) and The Jeffersons (1975). On the big screen, in film, she appeared in such films as Jubilee Trail, Marathon Man (1976), Oh, God! Book II (1980), and most recently in Ghost (1990) which co-starred Demi Moore, Patrick Swayze and Whoopi Goldberg, and the 2002 comedy film Buying the Cow (2002). She died in Northridge, California in 2007.

Robert Adame Beltran was born in Bakersfield, California. He is the seventh of ten children, of Mexican-Native American ancestry, though Robert describes his heritage as Latindio. After finishing high school, he attended Fresno State College, where he graduated with a degree in theater arts. Beltran landed his first film role in Luis Valdez's Zoot Suit (1981) in 1981. One year later, he landed the role of Raoul in Paul Bartel's Eating Raoul (1982). Other appearances included Gaby: A True Story (1987), Nixon (1995) and another Paul Bartel film, Scenes from the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills (1989) among others. In the theater, he has appeared in productions for Luis Valdez's El Teatro Campesino, the LA Theater Center, the California Shakespeare Festival and others. Robert founded and serves as co-artistic director of the East LA Classic Theater Group, with a staff of professional actors. There, he played Hamlet and served as co-producer as well as director. Robert appeared in A Midsummer Night's Dream; King Henry IV; A Touch of the Poet; and The Price, among others. In 1995, he got the part of Commander Chakotay on Star Trek: Voyager (1995). At that time, he received a Nosotros Golden Eagle Award as best actor in a television series. Robert supports National Down Syndrome Society and lives in Los Angeles, California.

In his political activity, Robert Beltran has engaged over recent years in a series of classical drama workshops mainly on Shakespeare with the LaRouche Youth Movement of the Democratic Party as well as participating in several Schiller Institute conferences speaking on the subject of classical drama, most recently on his 2003 staging of Clifford Odets' 1948 play "The Big Knife".

Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Borrego studied theatre and dance at The University of Incarnate Word; he studied acting at The California Institute of the Arts. In the 1980s he attended an open audition for the TV Series "Fame" where he won the role of "Jesse Velasquez", a role he would have for three years. Borrego, however, would return to the stage appearing in productions at the noted Joseph Papp Theatre in New York City and The Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. In addition to standout performances on stage and in films such as "Blood In, Blood Out" and "Follow Me Home", he began Lupita Productions in 1990. Lupita has produced theatrical productions and concerts; additionally, Lupita has produced two 16mm short films: "El Suendo de Simon" (1993) by James Borrego and "Flattime" (1995) by Jimmy Santiago Baca. At home in front of the camera, on stage, or in the producer's seat, Borrego continues to be one of the most versatile and resilient talents of our time.

Richard Cabral was born on 28 August 1984 in East Los Angeles, California, USA. He is an actor and producer, known for End of Watch (2012), Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones (2014) and American Crime (2015). He has been married to Janiece Sarduy since 24 October 2014.

Leo Carrillo was born on 6 August 1881 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was an actor, known for The Barrier (1937), Before Morning (1933) and Phantom of the Opera (1943). He was married to Edith Shakespear Haeselbarth. He died on 10 September 1961 in Santa Monica, California, USA.

American actor Gary Clarke was born Clarke Frederic L'Amoreaux of French and Mexican ancestry. Raised in the predominantly Chicano neighbourhood of East Los Angeles, he was determined to become an actor by the time he attended high school. His first performing engagements were in community theatre in San Gabriel, followed by stage appearances in Glendale and drama studies at the Pasadena Playhouse. At the same time, Clarke made ends meet as a machine operator and newspaper delivery man.

He made his TV debut in 1957, followed by his first motion picture lead the following year in Dragstrip Riot (1958), a low budget AIP release which cashed in on the prevailing trend for youth-oriented car racing and biker gang pictures. Clarke alternated supporting roles with occasional leads in several other genre pictures: as a young horror movie actor, hypnotized and transformed by a vengeful make up artist into a homicidal lycanthrope in How to Make a Monster (1958); as one of two escaped convict stowaways in Missile to the Moon (1958), an inept, ultra-low budget remake of Cat-Women of the Moon (1953) (with even shoddier props and special effects); as a love-struck teen whose life is complicated by conservative parents, the bride-to-be's thuggish ex-boyfriend, a junkie brother and a likely gallery of assorted pushers and mobsters in Date Bait (1960); and as a college undergraduate bent on seducing a particularly hard-to-get sorority sister in the predictable teen comedy Wild Wild Winter (1966).

On TV, Clarke had a semi-regular role as Dick Hamilton, younger brother of Lucy, the secretary of private eye Michael Shayne (1960) (Richard Denning). This character was specifically created for the show and did not appear in the original novels by Brett Halliday. Perhaps thanks to his boyish face and easy-going personality, Clarke became an audience favourite as Steve Hill, a close buddy of the Trampas character (played by Doug McClure) during the first two seasons of the hit western series The Virginian (1962). When Hill was phased out in 1964, Clarke moved on to play an Arizona Territory cavalry officer in Hondo (1967) and made guest appearances in diverse shows and made-for-TV movies.

In 1966, he began surreptitiously submitting scripts for the NBC spy sitcom Get Smart (1965) as 'C. F. Lamoreaux', in the process creating the character of Hymie the Robot (played perfectly deadpan by Dick Gautier) in a set of six episodes. The show's creators, Mel Brooks and Buck Henry, were well aware of this little subterfuge, but they liked his ideas. When Clarke eventually owned up that he had been an actor on The Virginian, their response was "we watch TV too".

Clarke continued through the 70s and 80s in occasional TV guest spots. He popped up several times as a police officer in Dynasty (1981) and played four different characters in The Young Riders (1989). He had a small role in the A-grade western Tombstone (1993), as U.S. Marshal Crawley Dake (1936-1890), the lawman who first deputized Virgil Earp. In Parkland (2013), he played Vice Admiral George Burkley (1902-1991), physician to three U.S. presidents, who was among those present during JFK's ill-fated Dallas motorcade.

Clarke has also briefly sidelined as a vocalist, releasing the single "Tomorrow May Never Come" (co-written by Jackie DeShannon) for RCA Victor in 1962, and a cover of the theme from The Virginian ("Lonesome Tree"), backed by "One Summer in a Million" for Decca Records in 1963.

Clarke's second wife (1964-70) was the actress Pat Woodell (best known as Bobbie Jo Bradley in TV's Petticoat Junction (1963)). He has been married since 1991 to Jerrene Beatty and is the father of two daughters. His hobbies have been said to be riding horses and motorcycles and playing golf.

Mark Consuelos was born in Zaragoza, Spain, to an Italian mother, Camilla, and a Mexican father, Saul Consuelos. He grew up in Lebanon, Illinois and Tampa, Florida. He attended Bloomingdale High School in Valrico, Florida and Notre Dame University. While living in Illinois, Mark appeared in "Hello, Dolly" at the Looking Glass Playhouse. Before joining All My Children (1970) in February 1995, Mark has guested on television shows such as Fortune Hunter (1994) and SeaQuest 2032 (1993). Mark enjoys traveling to Italy, which he does once a year. His hobbies include working out and playing many sports, particularly softball and soccer. He has one brother, who is a doctor, and a sister, who is a lawyer.

Margarita Cordova was born on 26 February 1939 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. She is an actress, known for Sunset Beach (1997), The Twilight Zone (1959) and Mission: Impossible (1966).

Raymond Cruz is perhaps best-known for his portrayal of the frighteningly lethal Tuco Salamanca in AMC's critically acclaimed show Breaking Bad (2008), a character he later reprised for the first two episodes of the spin-off Better Call Saul (2015). The role garnered him a Best Performance in a Television Series nomination from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films. Cruz recently wrapped his sixth and final season of TNT's Major Crimes (2012) as Julio Sanchez, a detective within the Los Angeles Police Department's Major Crimes Division, a role which originated on TNT's The Closer (2005) and which offered Cruz a nomination of Best Supporting Actor from the Imagen Foundation Awards. Other TV work includes Cleveland Abduction (2015), the TV movie in which he starred as kidnapper Ariel Castro, a role he felt personally connected to having known the victims of his crime personally. Other TV work includes CSI: Miami (2002), Lauren (2012), White Collar (2009), and Los Americans (2011), among others. Cruz has appeared in numerous films, including the highly touted Collateral Damage (2002), Training Day (2001), and Alien: Resurrection (2000).

Marita De Leon was born on 18 February 1969 in Santa Ana, California, USA. She is an actress and costume designer, known for My Crazy Life (1993), Strong Medicine (2000) and CSI: Miami (2002).

Emilio Delgado was an actor and singer, best known for his 44 years in the role of "Luis" on Sesame Street from 1971-2015 and had the unofficial distinction of having played the same role on U.S. television longer than any other Mexican American actor. He was born in Calexico, California and spent his early childhood living across the border in Mexicali, Mexico in a large extended family.

He started working at an early age in Mexicali shining shoes and working in his uncle's bicycle repair shop. As a U.S. citizen, he crossed the border daily into the United States to attend elementary school in Calexico, California, where he first began performing in school plays and musicals. He graduated from Glendale High School in Los Angeles, where his interest and passion for theater and music increased. After graduation he received a scholarship to study acting in Hollywood with Russian actress Eugenie Leontovich. He continued his theater studies at Glendale College and CalArts (California Institute of the Arts) while also performing as a folk singer, guitarist and singing traditional Spanish boleros with Mexican trios.

In 1968 Emilio began working as a professional actor in the Emmy Award winning PBS series Cancion De La Raza (Song of The People) KCET-LA. In 1971, the producers of Sesame Street expanded their cast to include Latinos and cast Emilio as Luis. Landing the role of "Luis" was very meaningful to Emilio because it offered a positive portrayal of a Mexican American on television. He can claim the longest running part for a Mexican American actor in a continuing television series for his 44 years on Sesame Street.

In addition to Sesame Street, Emilio was cast by Joe Papp in 1972 to understudy Raul Julia in Two Gentlemen of Verona at the St. James Theatre on Broadway. Emilio starred in the lead role of Quixote Nuevo in four cities: CalShakes Berkeley, Hartford Stage, Huntington Theatre Boston & The Alley Theatre in Houston from June 13, 2018 to February 9, 2020; written by award winning playwright, Octavio Solis. Quixote Nuevo is a contemporary adaptation of the Cervantes classic, first premiering in 2018 at California Shakespeare Theater in Berkeley. Other theater credits include Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, INTAR Theatre, Round House Theatre in Bethesda, MD, Manhattan Theatre Source and King Claudius in the Asolo Repertory Theatre production of Hamlet: Prince of Cuba.

He appeared in several television classics and was a recurring cast member on the Lou Grant Show and appeared in Hawaii 5-0, Quincy, Police Story and co-starred in I Will Fight No More Forever. More recent television and film appearances include The Get Down, House of Cards, A Case of You, Law & Order, Criminal Intent, Law & Order: SVU, The Michael J. Fox Show and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and many other television and film appearances. In voice over work, you can hear his voice in The Bravest Knight, Red Dead Redemption II and Audible.

Emilio enjoyed the pleasure of being an occasional guest singer with the world popular band Pink Martini at venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Hollywood Bowl and made other guest appearances with the band in Portland, Seattle, and Montreal. He recorded 'Sing', a duet with China Forbes on the Pink Martini album Splendor in the Grass.

Awards he has received include, The Impact Award 2000 from the National Hispanic Media Coalition, The HOLA Ilka Award in 2005 and in 2009 he and the cast of Sesame Street were present to receive the Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award for Sesame Street's 40 years on the air. October 15, 2019 he was honored by New York's Mayor Bill de Blasio proclaiming October 15, 2019 as Emilio Delgado Day in New York City, taking place at Gracie Mansion in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.

He has contributed his time to organizations such as the United Farm Workers, Head Start, The 52nd Street Project and Project Sunshine.

On December 10, 2020, Delgado was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. He passed away from the disease on March 10, 2022 at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife Carole Delgado, his daughter Lauren.

Rosanna DeSoto was born on 2 September 1950 in San Jose, California, USA. She is an actress, known for Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991), Stand and Deliver (1988) and La Bamba (1987). Alyssa Elaine Diaz (born September 7, 1985) is an American actress. Diaz is known for her roles on television, such as Celia Ortega on the CBS daytime soap opera As the World Turns, Jasmine on the ABC Family series The Nine Lives of Chloe King, Gloria Cruz on Lifetime's Army Wives, Teresa on Showtime's Ray Donovan, and Dariela Marzan on the CBS series Zoo.

Diaz was born in Northridge neighborhood of Los Angeles, California on September 7, 1985. She is of Colombian and Mexican ancestry, and has one brother named Michael. Diaz is a graduate of Bishop Alemany High School.

Diaz played the role of Celia Ortega on the daytime soap opera As the World Turns from February 9, 2005 until August 10, 2005, when her character left town for Montega to be with her relatives. She has made other television appearances, guest-starring in television shows including Southland, CSI: NY and Lie to Me. Abel Fernandez was born on 14 July 1930 in East Los Angeles, California, USA. He was an actor, known for The Untouchables (1959), Steve Canyon (1958) and Westinghouse Desilu Playhouse (1958). He died on 3 May 2016 in Whittier, California, USA.

Alex Fernandez was born on 22 July 1967 in Miami, Florida, USA. He is an actor and director, known for American Gigolo (2022), Mayans M.C. (2018) and Good Trouble (2019).

A Chicago native of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent, she made her professional stage debut at the age of seven in Paul Mejia's "Cinderella" at The Auditorium Theatre. By the age of twelve, she was dancing 20 shows a month as "Clara" in "The Nutcracker". She joined the Young People's Company, whose alumni include John Cusack, Joan Cusack, Jeremy Piven, Lili Taylor and Aidan Quinn.

Aimee graduated from Northwestern University with a triple major in economics, journalism and French. While attending Northwestern University, she was put under a two-year contract with Paramount Television after Norman Lear hand-picked her to headline his pilot-in-development, The Chavez Family, and also played the lead role of Diana Morales in "A Chorus Line" for Broadway choreographer Mitzi Hamilton.

Jeffrey Garcia is an American actor and comedian. Garcia initially began his career as a stand-up comedian in 1991, and would continue performing in multiple comedy clubs across the California (including the Laugh Factory) before venturing out into acting in 1995 with guest roles in TV shows such as Caroline in the City (1995) and Dangerous Minds (1996). His big break ultimately arrived in 2001 when he began voicing Sheen Estevez in Nickelodeon's Jimmy Neutron franchise, initially voicing the character in the film Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (2001) and ultimately reprising the role in the TV series The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (2002) and Planet Sheen (2010). In 2006, he would continue working with Jimmy Neutron co-producer Steve Oedekerk by voicing Pip the Mouse in Barnyard (2006) and its spin-off series Back at the Barnyard (2007). Garcia's other roles include voicing Rinaldo in the Happy Feet series, various roles in the Rio film series, and guest appearances in ChalkZone (1998), Clone High (2002), and Ben 10: Ultimate Alien (2010).

Joshua Gomez was born on 20 November 1975 in Bayonne, New Jersey, USA. He is an actor and composer, known for Chuck (2007), BioShock (2007) and Invasion (2005). He has been married to Amy Pham since 2011. They have one child.

Actress and singer Selena Gomez was born on July 22, 1992 in Grand Prairie, Texas. She is the daughter of Mandy Teefey and Ricardo Gomez. Her mother is of part Italian ancestry, and her father is of Mexican descent. She was named after Tejano singer Selena, who died in 1995.

Her first acting role was as "Gianna" in the popular '90s children's television show Barney & Friends (1992), alongside Demi Lovato from 2002-2004. Gomez also had roles in Spy Kids 3: Game Over (2003), Walker, Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire (2005), and House Broken (2006).

Gomez moved to Los Angeles, California when she booked the lead role of "Alex Russo" and rose to fame in the Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place (2007). Nicholas Edward Gonzalez is an American actor. He is best known for playing the roles of Alex Santiago on the Showtime television series Resurrection Blvd. and Dr. Neil Melendez on the ABC television series The Good Doctor. Born in San Antonio, Texas, Gonzalez is conversant in Spanish, having lived in a bilingual household. He attended Central Catholic High School in San Antonio, where he was an accomplished cross-country and track runner, winning the Texas State Championship in the mile and two-mile. After graduating in 1994 and turning down a presidential appointment to West Point, Gonzalez pursued an English degree at Stanford University in California. He spent two terms at Oxford University in England. The following summer, he returned to Europe on a research grant where he studied at Oxford and Trinity College, Dublin to complete his thesis on James Joyce's Ulysses. While at Stanford he had chanced on acting after taking an improvisational theatre elective and began taking part in student theater. He was approached to do a one-man theater piece called Gas by María Irene Fornés. Alma Martinez, an actress and Stanford professor, encouraged him to become a professional actor. Upon graduating from Stanford in 1998 Gonzalez decided to pursue acting and, with Martinez's help, connected with the theatrical movement in San Francisco. He was once encouraged to use his middle name Edward to conceal his ethnicity and go by "Nicholas Edward" but declined to do so.
