Top movies released in the year of 1925
The year 1925 was one of the greatest years of the Silent Era. Chaplin released his masterpiece 'The Gold Rush'. Buster Keaton had two movies that year, 'Seven Chances' and 'Go West'. Frank Lloyd, Erich von Stroheim, Frank Borzage, F.W. Murnau, E.A. Dupont, Carl Theodor Dreyer, Mary Pickford and Sergei M. Eisenstein all had movies released in 1925. As well as the debut of Alfred Hitchcock with his first movie, 'The Pleasure Garden'. The biggest box-office success of the year was King Vidor's 'The Big Parade', the highest grossing silent movie of all time. Closely followed by 'Ben-Hur' and 'The Gold Rush'.
