Katrine "Trine" Michelsen Was born January 21, 1966 in Gentofte and sadly passed away January 17, 2009 in Copenhagen. She was a Danish model and actress .
Trine Michelsen's first role as an actress was a small role in "Cyklen" which was an exercise film at the film school. Shortly after finishing school, she was given a role in the TV movie "En verden der blegner" from 1984 by Franz Ernst and Astrid Saalbach. She played a strong and politically engaged young woman.
After that, Trine Michelsen became a nude model as a Page 9 girl in "Ekstra Bladet" and in "Ugens Rapport".
The success as a nude model led to roles in two horror movies and two erotic movies in Italy. In 1986 she starred in "La Bonne" directed by Salvatore Samperi. Michelsen played a maid who arouses the residents of the house erotically. The film became a success in Italy, where the audience first became acquainted with "Katrine Michelsen", which she named on the poster.
The following year, Sergio Bergonzelli's "Tentazione" followed, which was far more erotic than its debut. The same year she starred opposite Donald Pleasence in the splatter movie "Spettri", which was directed by Marcello Avallone. In 1987, she starred in Lamberto Bava's late giallo effort "Le foto di Gioia".
In 1988, she starred in her only American film in a small role as a receptionist in Gordon Hessler's filming of Richard Adams novel "The Girl in the Rock". The roles in bad movies made her concentrate on the modeling career, but she returned as an actress
in 1994 when she was given the role of a friendly whore in Vibeke Gad's unemployment drama "Eva". In 1998, many saw her talent for something other than being photographed undressed. She was one of the most disguised and straightforward collectivists in Lars von Trier's Dogme movie "Idiotene", and the following year she appeared in Søren Fauli's satirical short film "Antenneforeningen".
Trine Michelsen was the daughter of cultural journalist and writer Ole Michelsen and his wife Nina, who died in a car accident a few years after Trine's birth. She had no contact with her father for a number of years, but they were reconciled during the 1990s.
In April 2005, in the weekly magazine "Se og Hør", she stated that she was undergoing chemotherapy because she had been diagnosed with cancer of the shoulder blade from which it spread to the lymphatic system. By December 2005, the cancer had spread to most of the body and to the bones.
