The film definitely going to make your sleep difficult at night. It starts with A story of a lawyer who visits a haunted house in a village called Crythin Gifford, in 1889 where he is assigned to collect documentary proofs from an isolated and barren estate on the marshland, to sale that house. Where, he meets the ghost. The scared and mysterious village isolated haunted house and most importantly the ghost is living even after the film is enough to scare you to death. Naomi watts starer, 'The Ring', is a remake of Japanese horror film of the same name. It’s a story based on a cursed videotape, whoever watches the video dies seven days later by unseen force. The visuals of this film are so strong it’ll leave a huge impact on your mind and definitely scare you in the dark. Especially, the scene where the ghost comes out of the TV screen. This is really an underrated film, but this film is one of my favorites in the horror movies list. It is a remake of South Korean film ‘Into the Mirror’. Well, this film will make you so scared of reflections that you’ll think twice before looking into the mirror or any surface that reflects, after watching this film. Story of Ben Carson (Played by actor Kiefer Sutherland), a suspended police detective, begins his first day as a night security guard at the Mayflower, a luxury department store that was devastated by a fire and was closed five years prior. But, the building still contains numerous mirrors from the store. This contains the souls of the people who are died in that event of accident. The mirrors make people do many scary things to them. It is a spin-off of 2016's The Conjuring 2 and the fifth installment in The Conjuring Universe franchise. Platform on which the film is based itself is very scary the name Nun signifies something so religious, holy and near to god which then becomes this unholy, demon who takes the form of a Valak, that attacks the monastery in Romania. The Gothic location in Romania and amazing performance by lead actors Demián Bichir as Father Burke and Taissa Farmiga as Sister Irene makes this film even more realistic. Patrick Wilson and Vera farming starer, this franchise is based on the life of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine warren. The 1st film is based on the story where the Warrens come to the assistance of the Perron family, who experienced paranormal and disturbing events in their farmhouse in Rhode Island in 1971. The 2nd film follows the Warrens as they travel to Britain to assist the Hodgson family, who are experiencing poltergeist activity at their Enfield council house in 1977 which later became referred to as the Enfield poltergeist. The couple also has a collection of supernatural items in their house which they’ve collected from their past cases. The visuals are very scary; a perfectly normal –healthy family witnessing paranormal events will leave you haunted for a long period. Movie is available on Netflix and amazon prime.

The series are prequel to 2013’ film The Conjuring. The films were inspired by a story of a doll named Annabelle told by paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. The creepy doll and trapped spirit which leads to paranormal events, to the house whoever holds the doll. The second installation that is Annabelle creation is better than its first installment for overall impact. It is a 1973 horror film that justifies its basic visuals. But the film was a major hit in that era for horror category films which also received several nominations for academy awards. Some viewers had adverse physical reactions, fainted or vomited while watching the film which defines its overall impact on people. The film follows the demonic possession of a 12-year-old girl and her mother's attempt to rescue her through an exorcism conducted by two priests.

This movie comes with a really interesting plot and amazing visuals. Generally, the horror stories contain a ghost that is already dead or inside some living body. This film is something else. It’s a story of a girl who died at the time of exorcism meaning the demon is still trapped inside the body. The body is then delivered to a morgue during the graveyard shift and soon the bizarre events start happening which are seen by newly joined morgue staff on the night shift.

Sarah snook starer, 'Jassabelle' is unconventional horror film involving strange, complex family mystery. The visuals and performance by leads character makes it worth and shaky horror film that everyone must watch. Some scenes of the film are really scary specially the bathtub scene.

Nicole Kidman starer this movie is an amazing story-line and also an example of the films which are scary without creepy visual effects. It is a story of Grace Stewart who occupies a remote country house in the Channel Islands in 1945 and one day awakens from a harsh nightmare in the sudden consequences of World War II. She lives with her two young children, Anne and Nicholas, who have an uncommon disease described as photo-sensitivity. Grace hires three new servants—the aging Mrs. Bertha, elderly gardener Edmund, and a mute girl named Lydia. Soon she discovers some odd events occurring in the house; Grace begins to fear there are unknown or something unseen “others" present in the house. Bruce Willis starred and M. Night Shyamalan directed the sixth sense is a rare treat to watch. This film also received many academy award nominations for its interesting screenplay. It’s a Story of a young boy named Cole and a child psychiatrist Malcolm who is helping him with his social skills. In later events, Cole tells Malcolm that he sees ghosts who are unaware of they are dead and walk around like living. Which Malcolm finds hard to believe at the beginning. After some turn of events when Malcolm believes that, Cole is telling the truth. He suggests that Cole should try to find a purpose for his gift by communicating with the ghosts and perhaps help them with their incomplete business. It’s a story of a newly separated couple Clyde and Stephanie live in separate homes. On some weekend, After Clyde picks up their two daughters, Emily "Em" and Hannah, they stop at a backyard sale where Em becomes fascinated by an old wooden box that has Hebrew letters engraved on it. Clyde buys that mystery box for Em and that’s where the horror story starts and Em is possessed by that demonic box. The Visual and lead performances make this film a total scary experience to watch.
