Money Heist - Season 4 Review
Season rating - 8.0/10
Highlight episode - The Paris Plan
MVP: Rodrigo De la Serna
This season's writing was definitely all over the place and lacked cohesion. Random melodramtic relationship drama for manufactured conflict really dragged things down, and a lot of lazy explanations - the governement/police being corrupt definitely a cop-out. Although there was a lot of completely unbelievable action scenes, mostly surrounding Gandia, it did lead to one of the most emotionally affecting scenes at the end of episode 6 - that Nairobi, Berlin, Moscow moment was excellent. Arturo serves no purpose, and the writer's keep deciding to make him worse and worse just so we have another antagonist. I like Palermo quite a bit, despite his fluctuating characterisation, and his link with Berlin carries a lot of weight, and was especially great to see in the finale. One more season with some tighter, less melodramtic writing, would go a long way.
