- DirectorBrian SkibaStarsRyan PhillippeCasper Van DienJack GriffoAn Army Delta Force officer is late picking up his son at college. His son and a Supreme Court Justice's daughter are the last there. A gang of terrorists are there to abduct her and force her dad's hand on a Second Amendment vote.First off this movie is way and I mean way to bad to be taken serious. I mean you get the basic premise and set up even before the opening credits come on. Honestly I don’t even want to touch the politics of this movie and what “agenda” this movie has because holy crap there is so much wrong like seriously this movie is so bad from a filmmaking perspective that it really overshadows everything. You have seen this movie before and better but holy crap I thought I have seen bad action movies but this tops the cake. I don’t even know where to start with the bad because I love Ryan but holy crap what is that accent and the worst part is it comes and goes. Okay acting all bad from everyone along with not one person has any screen chemistry with each other. The lighting is so straight to dvd that it is almost unbearable to look at just almost as bad as the acting. Actually it might be worst. But let’s get into the actual worst part and that is the action. It is so bad from the first shootout it is so stage you can see the actors waiting for their que to drop dead. Plus who are these bad guys dressing all casual like. It’s like be a f-ing professional. I never felt for these characters so that is where good writing would come in and hell when they are on the abandoned campus these bad guys are so terrible and so obvious. Matt Murdock can even tell that these are bad guys and they have a horrible way of hiding it. These bad guys make no attempt to hide in plain sight. Along with the kids are just terrible none of them have any experience acting or even line reading with another human being. And they just let walk around the whole campus. It gets worst at every turn with even more bland acting, directing, writing, and even sound not mixing with well with the actors mouths. It is also just so laughable bad with nothing new to offer in the action genre. If anything beg your favorite YouTuber to watch this movie and make a commentary about it. You will be having a great time watching this god awful piece of shit high school production made film. Again I’m as anti gun as I’m pro choice, because at least an unborn fetus never killed anyone. And I would rather pay for an abortion than my tax dollars going to people to use guns like f-ing level one high school dropouts who played one round on COD TDM and think they are Rambo. But I can honestly not give two shits about the pro-gun aspect of the film. It is just such a badly made film. But honestly if you have Netflix maybe you should give this a shot. Another thing why are all these fools sweating when it takes place around Christmas like are they trying way too hard with the die hard connections. Do not take this movie seriously because it is just so bad it is almost like a comedy. Hell one of the kids has a crying scene in this movie and I am bawling of how bad it is. O I love how bad this movie is.
1/10 - DirectorAdam MasonStarsKJ ApaSofia CarsonCraig RobinsonIn 2024 a pandemic ravages the world and its cities. Centering on a handful of people as they navigate the obstacles currently hindering society: disease, martial law, quarantine, and vigilantes. My sister and I had a great time laughing at this stupid worthless piece of shit movie that goes from Sean Penn in I Am Sam to Jack in Simple Jack. What the hell even is this movie. They got great actors to be in this movie that really fails to be a thriller mix with a romance story that is trying so hard to be Cloverfield. This is basically Cloverfield except it doesn’t end the same way. You got Riverdale kid being boring, Descendants girl is voguing throughout the whole movie making sure she looks perfect in every scene, and the rest of the cast looks bored and can’t bother to even be there. Alexandra Daddario is really trying to make her name known as an actress but I feel like she is playing the same character in everything she is in. Which is why I think they completely wasted half this cast because it really is needless to put in all these subplots. The movie is just terrible. It really is not even worth going into how bad this movie really is. And for anybody who complains about modern action scenes being too jumpy and having way to many cuts then this movie does that without it even being an action scene.
1/10 - DirectorAmy SeimetzStarsKate Lyn SheilJane AdamsKentucker AudleyA woman becomes strangely convinced she will die the next day. Her friend initially disbelieves her before becoming paranoid herself that she too will die the next day.Compare this to the other under 90 minute film about an alien invasion. Shadow in the Cloud knows how to use its time, location, lack of budget and just overall know how to tell a good story. This is just boring and down right dull. I tried watching this film twice after countless critics say it is the best film of the year. The only good thing I can honestly say about this movie is that it looks good. No kidding watching it on my tv it looks pretty damn good. I seriously have a hard time seeing what makes this film so damn good. I’m not a huge fan of these type of people’s film this and Primer is another example of me not getting with the masses. This is boring lifeless and soulless.
1/10 - DirectorKenneth BranaghStarsFerdia ShawLara McDonnellJosh GadArtemis Fowl, a young criminal prodigy, hunts down a secret society of fairies to find his missing father.Seriously, I don’t think I had one moment of entertainment watching this movie. All of the attempts to make the audience laugh is embarrassing, now to say this movie doesn’t have any laughs is not true. Josh Gad opening his mouth wider than a sink hole in Mexico is really funny looking. But for a movie that cost so much money to only take place in a house for a majority of the film is crazy to think. Because meanwhile this is just a standoff film between Artemis and the fairies world for a whole hour of the movie. Which speaking of Artemis it would be nice to see a film that makes a villain out of child in a science fiction world but this is not the direction it should be going in. Even the performances from some newbies and professionals all seem bland and just like reading. You don’t get to know any of the characters cause the film never gives you a moment to see why the reputation makes them important or when they do change characters it is not earned. For example we see in the beginning that Artemis is your typical I don’t play well with others and I’m smarter than everyone which is why all I need is me, but in the end he learns to work as a team all because Officer Short saves his life. It is your typical cliche character development we have seen a thousands times. Also wtf was that scene with the giant and the aftermath. This movie didn’t earn any of the development and didn’t pull any emotion out of that scene. It is one of the most fake out death scenes ever. Like we wasted so much time.
1/10 - DirectorJosh DuhamelStarsDan BakkedahlKevin DillonJosh DuhamelA group of friends reunite to play The Buddy Games, a wild assortment of absurd physical and mental challenges. In the process, they'll heal old wounds, right past wrongs and figure out the true meaning of friendship...or die trying. The moment seamen is being into the picture I knew I was going to puke. Of course the one “gay” character can’t get enough of it. So all the jokes can be seen from a mile away. It is stupid and Josh Duhamel who is the writer and director for the film offers some okay moments. But damn this movie is nothing it is down right joyless.
1/10 - DirectorRachel Lee GoldenbergStarsHaley Lu RichardsonBarbie FerreiraGiancarlo EspositoA 17-year old Missouri teen named Veronica discovers she has gotten pregnant, a development that threatens to end her dreams of matriculating at an Ivy League college, and the career that will follow.White girl tasers a Latino character who bails on their kid. As a movie that is as progressive as this is making the Latino dad bail is to me just as bad as making a black dad bail on his kid. Anyhoe biting my nails was more fun than watching this movie. And I bit my nails for about two seconds. Never Rarely Sometimes Always did a better job with this premise. But I do gotta say I’m glad we are letting any type of filmmaker make there own movie. I’m glad this ain’t china so I will always be there for a pro choice themed movie. And hell I would watch any movie like this over Unplanned or whatever pureflix pro life movie out there. This is just isn’t for me. I do wish I like this movie more. Plus I have been abusing the crap out of my HBOMax so they are better pro choice films out there. Hell I love Obvious Child starting Jenny Slate that came back out in 2014. And I guess Haley and Euphoria did a nice job being friends so I did buy that. I gotta say tho I never found what they were talking about all that funny. It’s weird tho the first act of the film is pretty good or at least after the 10 minute mark when they do start the road trip is promising. Then it just gets boring which again the screenplay is credit with 5 people. That is not a joke I couldn’t believe it when I saw it at the end because I was like what the hell. 5 people contributed to the screenplay and it sucks that none of those 5 people wrote anything to make me laugh. If you told me would you rather watch this or listen to Ben Schipo’s (I don’t care if I missed spelled his last name) sister on YouTube talking about pro life, I would much rather watch this. But that ain’t saying much.
1/10 - DirectorZu QuirkeStarsSydney SweeneyMadison IsemanJacques ColimonAn incredibly gifted pianist makes a Faustian bargain to overtake her twin sister at a prestigious institution for classical musicians. These Welcome to Blumhouse on Amazon Prime are not the greatest films out there. But at least The Lie was laughably bad like I had a good time making fun of it and it actually looks like a film. Or at least a finished film. This film is just dry boring and predictable. Black Swan is in there, last years The Perfection is there, mixed in with some santic cult like drawings that make no sense. I like classical music it is nice to listen too but this film makes no attempt to make you believe that these actors who are playing these instruments are actually playing them. All the acting is really bad as well but I can’t even point out just one thing with being just bad when the whole film is bad. It’s not scary it’s not uncomfortable which I was hoping for because at least have some drama here. There has to be drama here seriously like why is this film so boring to me and I have no desire to watch this film ever again. It truly is one of the worst films of the year.
1/10 - DirectorJosh RubenStarsJosh RubenAya CashChris ReddDuring a power outage, two strangers tell scary stories. The more Fred and Fanny commit to their tales, the more the stories come to life in their Catskills cabin. The horrors of reality manifest when Fred confronts his ultimate fear.I hate this movie. I’m not kidding. I just recently watch Malcolm and Marie the new Netflix movie starring Z day and JDW so that film had a lot to say about critics I agree with everything that movie says about film criticism. So I was saying yes people are so mean to people who make movies that don’t deserve it. Listen if this is your movie than fine it is not a terrible movie. Well to me this is a terrible no fun or no scares of a film. Full disclosure both Aya Cash and writer director Josh Ruben are okay. That’s the thing they sell these stories and I will even throw in their pizza deliver guy who is a big fan and he is actually game. When the three of them are on screen I felt more involved in the film. Like this film kicked into maximum over drive. The Talent Show live story is by far the best. Along with it being the funniest. The rest is just boring uninteresting garbage. Even the ending which drags on for ever is just lame.
1/10 - DirectorVince MarcelloStarsJoey KingJoel CourtneyJacob ElordiIn the sequel to 2018's The Kissing Booth', high school senior Elle juggles a long-distance relationship with her dreamy boyfriend Noah, college applications, and a new friendship with a handsome classmate that could change everything.O my gosh two + hours I will never get back I swear two hours and 14 minutes of nails on the chalk board of the most boring relationship stuff I have ever seen. Listen I love Joey King, The Act on Hulu is something amazing seriously I loved it when it came out and binged all the way thru. But this is all the cliche teen drama rom com but the biggest sin of all this film has that none of these mother f-ers are high schoolers. Even the girls who can pass as teenagers still don’t even come off as high schoolers. And I kinda know some of the drama behind the scenes and it shows in the performances of who wants to be their and who doesn’t want to be their. O yeah did I mention that this movie is over two hours long. The only good thing this movie can produce is reaction/watch alongs on YouTube. But hey Netflix is going to turn out a 3rd next year so I can’t wait for that.
1/10 - DirectorNicolas PesceStarsTara WestwoodJunko BaileyDavid Lawrence BrownA house is cursed by a vengeful ghost that dooms those who enter it with a violent death.Boring. Lin Shaye’s death is actually the best part in the film. Some pretty good practical effects but other than that it is just a boring lame horror film that really didn’t do anything you haven’t seen before. I saw this film a year late like literally a year later that this came out and yep it is as bad as everyone said it was when it first came out.
2/10 - DirectorBartosz M. KowalskiStarsJulia Wieniawa-NarkiewiczMichal LupaWiktoria GasiewskaA group of technology-dependent teenagers goes to offline camp and faces a deadly danger lurking in the woods.
- DirectorMichael DowseStarsEd HelmsTaraji P. HensonTerrence Little GardenhighTwelve-year-old Kareem Manning hires a criminal to scare his mom's new boyfriend -police officer James Coffee - but it backfires, forcing Coffee and Kareem to team up in order to save themselves from Detroit's most ruthless drug kingpin.Weak. When King Bach is the funniest person in your movie that’s when you f-ed up. Even Betty from GLOW and The Hunt is terrible in this film. This comes from the same guy who did Stuber last year and that was just an okay film. But this is bad on all levels. Everyone gives Ryan Reynolds a lot of crap for playing the same character but at least he makes us laugh. Ed Helms continues to play the same character with no laughs. At least it was a fast watch. It didn’t feel like two hours and when King Bach and the other two guys are on screen it is pretty funny. “I ain’t afraid of no grenade.” Best line of the movie.
2/10 - DirectorM.J. BassettStarsMegan FoxPhilip WinchesterGreg KriekO'Hara is a mercenary leading a squad of soldiers on their mission to rescue hostages in a remote part of Africa. Unfortunately, the mission goes awry and the team is stranded and forced to survive against the local rebels. My sister and I were like 4 beers deep when I put this movie on. Individual we were 4 beers deep. She feel asleep about 20 minutes into the movie and I wish I could have join her. I’ll say this Megan Fox does hold her own. I did buy her as this leader. I like that she makes tough decisions and is only focusing on the mission. But this is just a laughably bad of a movie. She woke up later and I explained just how stupid this movie is. So when she woke up we were laughing our ass off.
2/10 - DirectorCooper KarlStarsDeniz AkdenizMadelaine PetschAlexander KochAfter an attack renders her blind, Ellen Ashland withdraws from the world to recover. But soon she plunges into paranoia, unable to convince anyone that her assailant has returned to terrorize her by hiding in plain sight.Honestly I like making my number ten worst film to be a film that is not too bad like The 2nd which that is the worst film I have seen in 2020. As Sightless it is so ridiculous and stupid that I was laughing at this movie so hard. I had to make this my number ten movie because out of the rest of my top ten this is the one I would come back to out of all the films. Madi, from Riverdale must have some best fans because holy crap people are actually thinking this is a good thriller. It has one decent twist that I didn’t see coming. But quickly it goes back to stupid stuff. I would say it is more enjoyable to make fun of this movie than to take it seriously.
2/10 - DirectorDee ReesStarsAnne HathawayBen AffleckRosie PerezA veteran D.C. journalist loses the thread of her own narrative when a guilt-propelled errand for her father thrusts her from byline to unwitting subject in the very story she's trying to break. Adapted from Joan Didion's namesake novel.I wish I can say this film had great performances but in a bad film. But ultimately they are just okay performances still in a bad movie. The script doesn’t do anyone any favors because the motives of each character are not there. Except Anne Hathaway who does try her best and has some scenes where you feel for her. I do like her character the most but again where is this film going? In particular, I never found it exciting in parts where it was suppose to be suspenseful. Im usually not the person who gets easily lost but man this movie never grabbed me. I lost interest multiple times throughout the movie. Towards the end when the twists and turns start coming it went to unbelievable story telling. Dee Rees wrote, directed, and produced the movie and I loved both Mudbound and Pariah. Two excellent movies. This is just not it.
2/10 - DirectorPaul LeydenStarsMalin AkermanBella ThorneDulcé SloanWhen Anna Wyncomb is introduced to an underground, all-female fight club in order to turn the mess of her life around, she discovers she is much more personally connected to the history of the club than she could ever imagine.I can take predictability, unoriginality, and even sometimes not laughing. Well that is all here with some more added. Alec Baldwin I do have to say did make me laugh. Along with Malin Ackerman who has turned into an okay actress into a slightly above okay actress. I actually thought Alexia Barlier who plays Chloe a French bartender gave one of the more entertaining performances in the movie. The biggest flaw tho I have to say is that it all looks fake. The fight scenes are so unbelievable that it comes off more as bad directing. Again everything is predictable. It is Fight Club meets The Karate Kid but you know with women. So with addition of those three performances the only parts I found assuming are the Karate Kid parts. The chick fighting itself is just so bland I honestly couldn’t enjoy myself with this movie. Also a stupid added love story shoe horned in here is really what this movie needed to keep you engage. It is so unavoidable because I can’t recommend it for comedy fans because it has maybe one or two laughs, to the obvious where the fights are so unwatchable it is a bad film overall to watch. But then again Kevin Nash here is actually really enjoyable here.
2/10 - DirectorMcGStarsJudah LewisSamara WeavingJenna OrtegaTwo years after Cole survived a satanic blood cult, he's living another nightmare: high school. And the demons from his past? Still making his life hell.Holy crap even Samara Weaving is bad in this movie. I have to say none of the actors except Robbie Amell who is actually adding some fun to this movie are all bad. Even Cole who I liked in the first one has gotten pretty terrible as an actor and Jenny Ortega who is fine is still pretty bad in this movie. For the kills because I was at least hoping they would inventive and brutal they are just lame. McG is still a fun director he has a certain style to him that makes his movies enjoyable but with the first one he was able to get actors who are not the best to still at least be enjoyable to watch like no one thinks Bella Thorne is a great actress but at least in the first one she does have some comedic timing. This is just lame boring and predictable. Again only Robbie Amell does a real good job here and doesn’t embarrass himself. Plus they are 4 writers on this movie so that doesn’t always bold well for a movie this simple.
2/10 - DirectorJoshua FriedlanderStarsJosh LawsonNathalie EmmanuelBritt LowerThis unconventional comedy follows the relationship struggles of a married couple trying to conceive, their friends who have lost their spark, and the tension that ensues when an old college roommate stays over for the weekend.Okay is this a porno without the sex. Cause it really does feel like it. I mean if you are going to build up this three some and not show any of it. Okay even if they didn’t show it, it doesn’t even have anything to do with this story. Well honestly the story is an old college roommate visits her friend and her husband. Later her husband puts together a three some and they have it. That is it. Truly nothing else in this film has anything to offer. And this shit looks cheap as hell. It all takes place in a house or a backyard and it takes place within 2 days. None of the performances are anything special either.
2/10 - DirectorVincent ParonnaudStarsLucie DebayArieh WorthalterCiaran O'Brien"The company of wolves is better than that of man." Once upon a frenzied time, Woman meets Man. Woman dances with Man. Man kisses Woman. Man grips Woman. Woman escapes Man. Man chases Woman - nothing new. Or is there?A different take on little red riding hood. I wish I like that in theory more than what is actually presented to us. This long boring good 15 minute short film would have been great. Sadly it over stays it’s welcome and delivers nothing of note.
3/10 - DirectorTate TaylorStarsJessica ChastainJohn MalkovichCommonAva is a deadly assassin who works for a black ops organization, traveling the globe specializing in high profile hits. When a job goes dangerously wrong she is forced to fight for her own survival. It’s so weird the best fight scene is between Colin Farrell and John Malckovich. And Jessica stars and produces the film but her action scenes are terrible. Her gun play is boring and she never sells the fight for your life situation she finds herself in. When she guns down 10 guys in a row with no regard of anything just following the motions set by the directing it really is telling how sloppy this film is. It is short tho and it does drag every now and then. But the dramatic parts of course Chastain can handle the dramatic scenes because she is a pro. I am hoping her next venture into the action genre with The 355 will be better than this. And all the acting is fine in the film but man it is so weird that again it is just a sadly predictable action assassin film that you know where it is going. It’s always the same thing. An assassin’s who is top tier is having doubts about what is going on then her own company turns against her and she must go after the people who betrayed her. O I wonder what is going to happen. Yep no surprises here. But also I never felt for Ava because she is a terrible character. Seriously it’s so weird how Tate Taylor the director the screen writer make the men who are trying to kill Ava more sympathetic than the person who we are suppose to be following. It truly is a mess of a film. But more irritating than anything is the terrible action scenes with the exception of one fight scene. It just feels all staged like actors or stunts actors are waiting to get bet up by Ava and again Jessica does nothing to sell the intensity that this film has set from the beginning. Cause if she was trying to be this hardcore assassin who rethinks everything she has done this could have been so much better. Even dealing with her alcohol addiction I thought could have been handled better. A better director and even writer can see the faults in a lot of the scenes that feel just fake. The last fight scene is pretty cool tho.
3/10 - DirectorTyler SpindelStarsDavid SpadeLauren LapkusNick SwardsonTim thinks he's invited the woman of his dreams on a work retreat to Hawaii, realizing too late he mistakenly texted someone from a nightmare blind date.Yeah it’s pretty bad. But also just screams earlier 2000 released seriously look at the font on the poster which is probably used the same font on date movie. The one good thing I can say about this movie is that one Netflix I didn’t have pay to see this movie and also the fact that it can be on Netflix means it could raunchy and racey is some scenes. But honestly they don’t do anything with that. It is just a bunch of F-bombs to make it a R rating. Which comedies now days seem like that’s all they need to do to get a laugh and realize that no it is not funny. I do got to say David Spade is basically playing the same character he always does but for some reason it fits him well in this situation because he has gotten older and the wrong missy actually plays her age as well which again fits with this story. So the outline of the movie ain’t half bad seriously, it is just the execution is pretty lame.
3/10 - DirectorStephen GaghanStarsRobert Downey Jr.Antonio BanderasMichael SheenA physician who can talk to animals embarks on an adventure to find a legendary island with a young apprentice and a crew of strange pets.Delight for the whole family? Hahaha.
3/10 - DirectorDanis TanovicStarsJeffrey Dean MorganFamke JanssenCush JumboA New York detective investigates the death of his daughter who was murdered while on her honeymoon in London.Honestly I’m getting pretty tired of these investigation, we must find this this special killer who kills his victims in a special way. The Snowman, The Frozen Ground, and that Colin Farrel serial killer movie. It just has ran its course and if no director is going to bring something interesting or exciting to the genre than it just comes off as a cheap tactic. I mean Seven back in the day was special cause you had two characters who you cared about because it wasn’t over directed with shorty editing and holy crap the acting. This is the most overacted film I have seen in a while. Yes there is a nice little twist in the middle of the film I did not see coming. But again you have seen this before done way better. JDM is a pretty good lead but he overacts the crap out of this and the editing with the constant closeups are so laughable that it is distracting. Which the killers in this movie do have a good motive and reason behind the killings that I did quite like. Other than that the lackluster ending just makes this worst.
3/10 - DirectorSteven BrillStarsAdam SandlerKevin JamesJulie BowenDespite his devotion to his hometown of Salem (and its Halloween celebration), Hubie Dubois is a figure of mockery for kids and adults alike. But this year, something is going bump in the night, and it's up to Hubie to save Halloween.I solely give this movie a 3 off of 3 things: the first is I did get a couple of laughs because the ridiculousness of how random this movie is could be pretty funny. The second reason is I have to say is the kindness of this movie. Now I know that might sound condescending or even weird to call this movie kind but this a movie about kindness and how we should treat people the way we want to be treated. It is a cliche sure but it was nice to see something like this. I love dark humor or sometimes mean spirited movies so those are nice every now and then but this is a nice message. The third and last reason why is probably the biggest. This movie is dedicated to Cameron Boyce who we lost terribly too young. And who has worked with Adam Sandler before so I know this hit him hard, but harder with his parents and family. But I did get teared up at the end seeing him smiling just knowing that he was acting to make people laugh and happy. And I think Adam knew that which is why he not just enjoyed putting him in his movies but probably had a great time working with him on set. I mean a human being like Cameron really never set out to be a problem and wanted to make people enjoy themselves rather to tear them down to satisfy others. And that to me is something truly special. But this movie sucks.
3/10 - DirectorMichael CristoferStarsTye SheridanAna de ArmasHelen HuntA voyeuristic hotel clerk becomes the subject of a murder investigation. One word: weak. It is not thrilling enough to be engaging, or engaging enough to be thrilled or worried for these characters when bad things start happening to them. With a 90 minute runtime it mainly wastes it time by trying to put together the relationship between Ana Da Armas and Tye Sheridan. They have some chemistry but it only can work if it tried to be mystery of who this other guy is. We know as the audience can tell what is going to happen. It doesn’t have much to offer.
3/10
