Growing Kenzie-Gennaro Mini-Series Dreamcast
A new list for the Kenzie-Gennaro series by Dennis Lehane. To recap, here is the order of the six books:
1. A Drink Before The War
2. Darkness, Take My Hand
3. Sacred
4. Gone, Baby, Gone
5. Prayers For Rain
6. Moonlight Mile
Since Fox's 2018 pilot that almost had Joseph Morgan and Peyton List playing main characters Patrick Kenzie and Angela Gennaro, a few years have passed. I thought they were perfect, but ultimately I think that in a few more years we'll get another chance at this series being adapted. It happened with Locke & Key, which was also a pilot originally on Fox that became a show on Netflix 10 years later, and I think it'll happen again.
Patrick and Angie's actors ranged in the pilot and the Gone Baby Gone 2007 movie from 30 to 38 and would now be too old to play the characters. I think this will be especially true in 5 or 6 years, give or take, and they'll end up choosing actors born in 1991, with their general peers born from 1985 and younger. (I'm not Hollywood though, I prefer keeping actors close in age, especially in romantic situations. Make with that what you will.)
Here is my new and growing list for the detective series, short for now. A lot of these actors for important characters will be perfect for them in a couple of years, and that's what I'm taking into account. Don't like the main race lifting? Tough luck.
