Supernatural Season 7
It's better than Season 6! Season 7 is not a great season, but it's a pretty solid enough one. There's pretty solid individual episodes here, but some pretty weak ones.
Having actual focus really helps after the scatterbrained Season 6, the downside is that while Season 6 was trying too hard and had so many plots juggling at once, juggling only one plot led to a lot of Season 7 feeling like dead air between each new Leviathan conflict.
The Leviathans are cool overall, but they start way better than they end. I do love them turning the human race into weird zombie creatures, but they don't do much with it by the end. Still, solid enough antagonists.
The Bobby stuff ranges from terrific (early season) to okay (late season). Ghost bobby on paper is good, and he ends well enough, but there's a brief period where I thought they were gonna do something really bad with his character.
Still, though, I do enjoy Season 7. Sam and Lucifer's plot is awesome, the Leviathans work well enough, there's some really nice one offs and the season as a whole kinda just feels like Supernatural doing its thing.
7.4/10 - It's good.

- DirectorPhilip SgricciaStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesMisha CollinsCastiel believes he is the new God and becomes obsessed with power. Sam, Dean, and Bobby try to find a way to stop him before he explodes with power, even if that means talking to Death himself. Now, Supernatural writers, why is this a better finale to 6 than what we got? This episode wraps up so much of Season 6 better than the season did AND still manages to be a good kick off to Season 7. Wack. Death is great here, the Leviathans are set up well, all in all? Based premiere.
9/10. - DirectorGuy Norman BeeStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesMisha CollinsThe leviathans destroy Castiel's body and break loose. Now Sam, Dean, and Bobby have to track them all down. Meanwhile, Sam is beginning to struggle with what is real and what is a hallucination.Great follow up to last episode and the full introduction to the Leviathans is pretty dope. Losing Bobby's house is a bit sad, but I like what they do with it.
8.7/10. - DirectorJensen AcklesStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesJim BeaverSam reunites with a childhood girlfriend who is supposedly preying on human brains. It's a pretty good episode, but it's a little cluttered and the ending is pretty stupid on Dean's part. Still, I think this is still the strongest start to a season since Season 4.
7.6/10. - DirectorRobert SingerStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesJim BeaverSam and Dean investigate murders of people who have their guilty pasts come back and kill them. Could Dean be next? The first half is pretty slow, but I think when it gets down to it this is a really strong episode with some great character work for both Sam and Dean.
8/10. - DirectorPhilip SgricciaStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesJames MarstersSam and Dean get caught in the middle of a feud between a married witch couple. It's a pretty fun episode. A little all over the place, but it's definitely entertaining. The Sam and Dean drama is pretty bad, though.
7.6/10. - DirectorJohn F. ShowalterStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesJim BeaverTwo Leviathans are impersonating Sam and Dean and going on a killing spree. Now, Sam and Dean are the most wanted criminals in the country. This episode's great. I love the conflict a lot and the episode does a lot of furthering on the Leviathan front! The bad drama keeps it from being too great, though.
8.4/10. - DirectorMike RohlStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesDorian Brown PhamAn estranged Sam and Dean reunite to solve a curious case in the most psychic town in America, but it's far from happy families for the Winchester brothers.Mid.

Dean finds it suspicious that Sam is falling for her and decides to investigate. The Becky and Sam stuff is...uncomfortable. But I think the rest of the episode is almost decent. It's a bit flat and all over the place, but Garth is great and it's pretty funny at times.
6.7/10. - 2005–202041mTV-14TV Episode8.3 (4K)DirectorGuy Norman BeeStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesJim BeaverSomething is turning all of the people of a small town in New Jersey into cannibals.A pretty solid episode to push forward the Leviathan conflict! I really like Dick Roman in it and I think the writing is really fun.
8.7/10. - DirectorRobert SingerStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesJim BeaverBobby is close to dying. He must confront his worst memory to escape, before his reaper catches up to him.One of the best episodes of the show.
10/10. - DirectorJeannot SzwarcStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesKevin McNallyWhile Dean and Frank try to figure out the numbers from Bobby's clue, Sam tries to help a young girl search for her missing father. It's a pretty good midseason return. The stuff with Krissy and Sam is alright but the Frank and Dean stuff is good.
8/10. - DirectorPhilip SgricciaStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesKim RhodesAfter attacking Chronos, the time god, Dean is sent back to 1944.Really fun time travel episode! It probably handles the concept the best of any episode in the show and splitting up Sam and Dean is great. Sadly, it's not the best time travel episode since the plot is kinda generic.
8.4/10. - DirectorJerry WanekStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesHarry GroenerSam and Dean go up against the Amazons as they go on a killing spree. But it's twice as difficult for Dean because one of them is his daughter.this episode is weird but...I kinda like it?
7/10. - 2005–202042mTV-14TV Episode8.0 (4.2K)DirectorMike RohlStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesMichael Blackman BeckSam and Dean are stumped. Somehow, a group of children's personal fears are becoming a reality and killing off a parent that each child has a certain hatred for.I can't believe I've never given this episode more credit.
8.4/10. - DirectorThomas J. WrightStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesMark PellegrinoFour years ago, Sam and Dean exorcised a demon serial killer. Now he's back for revenge. The Sam and Lucifer stuff is really great, everything else is pretty mediocre.
7/10. - DirectorJohn F. ShowalterStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesKevin McNallySam and Dean stumble onto one part of the Leviathan's ultimate plot while tracking down some cursed objects in a small town. The side that deals with the cursed objects is really fun and the Leviathan stuff that follows is pretty cool. I think the two are smooshed together in a weird way, though. Still a great time.
8/10. - DirectorRobert SingerStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesMisha CollinsLucifer is driving Sam into madness. Desperate to save him, Dean tries to find someone who can help. He finds Castiel with amnesia, instead. This episode should be two separate episodes. One with Castiel's return and the other with the Sam stuff. Together, it's still super solid, but these could be two 9/10 episodes apart.
8.7/10. - DirectorPhilip SgricciaStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesDJ QuallsGarth calls Sam and Dean for assistance in battling a ghost that you can only see when drunk. This is basically a 5/10 but man...I really love Garth.
6.7/10. - DirectorTim AndrewStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesJim BeaverBobby's spirit tries to help Sam and Dean as they try to find a missing friend inside a haunted house.Tied with The Mentalists for the most "I don't care" episode of the season.
5/10. - 2005–202043mTV-14TV Episode9.1 (5K)DirectorJohn MacCarthyStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesJim BeaverSam and Dean discover that Frank's hard drive, containing everything on the leviathans, is now in Dick's company building. To retrieve it, they ask for help from one of the employees, a young computer hacker. What a great episode. It's nearly a 9/10 but it kind of falters with some stupid moments throughout. Still a super fun episode.
8.7/10. - DirectorBen EdlundStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesMisha CollinsSam and Dean have possession of a Word of God, but are unable to read it. They find a young prophet that can help, but unfortunately, the angels and leviathans are after him, too. This episode is a mess. It sets up a ton of stuff for Season 8 and begins to pick up the pace on the season's exceptionally slow moving storyline. BUT it's the best kind of mess. It's all really fun.
8.7/10. - DirectorGuy Norman BeeStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesJim BeaverTo officially kill the leviathans, Sam and Dean need the blood of an Alpha. But Dick knows what the Winchesters are up to and sends his men after them. After restoring a lot of excitement and good will in the prior two episodes, Season 7 just kinda limps along to its finale. I like a lot of ideas here, but the episode itself is just kind of in the middling area.
6.7/10. - DirectorRobert SingerStarsJared PadaleckiJensen AcklesMisha CollinsSam and Dean make a plan to storm Dick's company building and kill him once and for all, with help from Castiel and Meg. Providing Bobby doesn't get to Dick first. An alright end to an alright season. It's got some great stuff and it wraps up the season in a pretty good way. But it does feel a bit boring sometimes and it's probably the weakest finale of the show so far as individual episodes go. It does wrap the season up better than 6.
