Amanda Seyfried was born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to Ann (Sander), an occupational therapist, and Jack Seyfried, a pharmacist. She is of German, and some English and Scottish, ancestry. She began modeling when she was eleven, and acted in high school productions as well as taking singing lessons.

When she reached L.A. later that year, Cook bypassed the wannabe stage and nailed her first audition (for the part of a budding entrepreneur in The Baby-Sitters Club (1995)). She returned to theaters three months later in the Jonathan Taylor Thomas vehicle Tom and Huck (1995), then filled her calendar with appearances in independent and made-for-TV movies. Efrat Dor is an Israeli Actress. She was born and raised in Omer, South of Israel. She is of Polish, German and Russian descent. Efrat began acting in high school as a drama major, and trained as a ballet dancer at the Bat-Dor Ballet School in Beer-Sheva. Dor trained at the Beit Zvi School for the Performing Arts in Israel and also spent time studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in NYC. She began her professional acting career by appearing in Israeli films and television series, Dor made her feature film debut in Phobidilia (2009) (2009), for which she took part in the Berlin film festival that year. Efrat first gained recognition in Israel for her role as Shir Ambar in the TV drama Asfur (2010) (2010).
