VOCAL
Voices Of Color Adam Loves: 52% of all American and Canadian voice actors may be white, but there are other voice actors who definitely deserve more parts, especially in 2020, when racial protests demand that only voice actors of color should voice characters of color. They can also play characters who are not defined by their race or characters who do not abide by human race colors. Ian-Jones Quartey does that all the time in OK KO Let's Be Heroes. He is basically a black Alex Hirsch. Alex voices many characters in Gravity Falls, and he is 1 year younger than Ian Jones-Quartey. They both have June 18 birthdays.
It was permissible for Friendship is Magic to have an all-white female cast in 2010 because ponies have no race, but they also had the option to make the primary cast more diverse. It was the same deal with Regular Show having an all-white male cast, since Pops and Muscle Man were the only human characters there next to a blue jay, a raccoon, a yeti, a gumball machine, and a high-five ghost. Both sides win because - nobody needs to change the shows' casts to have more people of color, but nobody can protest about being misrepresented by non-human characters. Luckily, there are still plenty of side characters in each of these shows who have an actor of color.
We need to level the playing field because if more voice actors of color can play characters who are a different race than themselves, then it may be permissible again for white voice actors the other way around, like when Mike Henry voiced Rallo and Kevin Michael Richardson voiced Lester in The Cleveland Show. Steven Universe is the exception that proves the problem with minorities not getting enough parts, as more than 3/4 of all the Crystal Gems are voiced by People Of Color who need more parts, and this is the first big role for Estelle, Michaela Dietz and Deedee Magno Hall. Steven Universe also proves the problem of Indian-American actors not having enough parts written for them, because people of color in Steven Universe have actors of other colors voicing them, but Connie Maheswaran and her parents are Indian characters with white actors voicing them. Connie has an Asian-white biracial actress, but that is not much better because she still has much lighter skin than Connie.

"Born and raised in New York City, the acting bug hit a young Alex Desert early, with two incidents forever changing his trajectory. First, while perusing the audio section of the Donell Public Library, our young hero happened upon a record which would forever impact him - Paul Williams' soundtrack for the Alan Parker film, Bugsy Malone. While obsessively listening to the musical score, Alex would intensely scour and review the record cover secretly wishing he was one of the actors in this film. Second, when Desert's older brother explained to him that the characters on TV's M*A*S*H were not, in fact, doctors but rather actors, Alex knew he had found his calling.
After graduating NYC's acclaimed School of the Performing Arts (yes...the Fame school), Desert relocated to Los Angeles and has since had a varied acting career. As well as being a series regular on such hit shows as CBS's Becker, Boy Meets World and The Flash, he has also appeared in numerous guest starring roles on shows including Grey's Anatomy, Mom, and House MD. Film roles include such cult classics as Swingers, High Fidelity and PCU.
Not to be tied down to just one form of the acting arts, Alex has also voiced characters for animation and video games. Most notably, Desert can be heard as the voice of Nick Fury in Marvel Animation's Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and can also be heard as Wise in the web series The LeBrons.
In addition to his acting career, Desert also lends his singing talents to two of Los Angeles' most influential world music groups, Hepcat and The Lions. Having released four albums, Hepcat's exposure has included European and American tours, national magazine features and even an appearance on the Conan O'Brien show. Alex's latest musical collaboration, The Lions, is a 12-piece collective of seasoned Los Angeles musicians playing what they have dubbed "dusty reggae soul". Their latest album, Soul Riot, is currently available on Stones Throw Records.
And there you have it. A brief history of Alex Desert."as Carl Carlson in The Simpsons- Actress

Carl Weathers was born on January 14, 1948, in New Orleans, Louisiana. A famous and successful football star at San Diego State, he played with the Oakland Raiders and retired from the sport in 1974, in order to give full attention to his goal: to be a real actor.
Weathers first played small parts in two blaxploitation flicks, Friday Foster (1975) (in which he played "Yarbro") and Bucktown (1975) (playing "Hambone"), both made in 1975 and directed by Arthur Marks. However, his big break came the following year when producers Irwin Winkler and Robert Chartoff chose him to play "Apollo Creed" in the blockbuster "sleeper" Rocky (1976) (real-life boxing legend Ken Norton was originally signed for the part, but it eventually went to Weathers). He went on to play "Creed" in three other "Rocky" movies, and the characters' adversarial relationship eventually evolved into a warm friendship. After Creed's death in Rocky IV (1985), Weathers met with producer Joel Silver and agreed to play an important supporting role in Predator (1987), an action film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The following year, Silver produced Action Jackson (1988), a first starring role for Weathers, but it performed poorly at the box office and was panned by the critics.
During the 1990s, Weathers starred in four In the Heat of the Night (1988) two-hour TV specials that were much better received by critics and viewers alike. In 1996, he played the part of "Chubbs Peterson" in the blockbuster Adam Sandler comedy Happy Gilmore (1996). He returned to his "action roots" in two TV-movies with Hulk Hogan: Assault on Devil's Island (1997) and Assault on Death Mountain (1999).
In addition to his acting career, Weathers is also a member of the Big Brothers Association and the U.S. Olympic Committee, handling the career of athletes of various sports such as gymnastics, wrestling, swimming and judo.as Omnitraxus in Star vs. the Forces of Evil- Actor

Born an entertainer, Casey reigns from Michigan, the same birthplace for fellow Shaggy voice actor Matthew Lillard (whom both Casey and Matthew do a very fine, smashing job voicing the iconic character). Debuted as a radio operator and legendary disc jockey in his early days, he was the greatest and most likely the best one seen in recent years. Having an iconic voice and a set of vocal cords, Casey pleased the audience through radio and voice. Casey hit the big time in the early 60's with voicing both major and minor roles in television series, until Hanna-Barbera released, then later debuted, the same role he characterized his career off of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, in which he had the pleasure of working with legendary voice actors Don Messick and Hal Smith. For over 3 decades, he co-founded and hosted American Top 40, which aired the top songs of the week. In his later years, he spent his time with his friends and family, in the way he could showcase with love, passion, and voicing. He died on June 15th, 2014. He was 82 years old.
