How I rank the Harry Potter films from best (#1) to worst. They are all fantastic films, so the 'worst' is really just 'the least good' - it isn't bad at all.

- DirectorChris ColumbusStarsDaniel RadcliffeRupert GrintEmma WatsonHarry Potter lives his second year at Hogwarts with Ron and Hermione when a message on the wall announces that the legendary Chamber of Secrets has been opened. The trio soon realize that, to save the school, it will take a lot of courage. This remains my favourite in the series, definitely under-rated by most, as it is a nuanced and layered story that is mature but fun; the actors improved a lot from the first, the story too, allowing for the perfect Potter flick.
- DirectorMike NewellStarsDaniel RadcliffeEmma WatsonRupert GrintHarry Potter finds himself competing in a hazardous tournament between rival schools of magic, but he is distracted by recurring nightmares. This is a great flick, stooped in mystery and adventure, where the darker tone starts to peer through despite well-deserved moments of levity.
- DirectorDavid YatesStarsDaniel RadcliffeEmma WatsonRupert GrintAs the battle between the forces of good and evil in the wizarding world escalates, Harry Potter draws ever closer to his final confrontation with Voldemort. The finale is as dark, intense and action-packed as promised with a truly epic feel; a taught, awesome ending to a brilliant series.
- DirectorDavid YatesStarsDaniel RadcliffeEmma WatsonRupert GrintAs Harry Potter begins his sixth year at Hogwarts, he discovers an old book marked as "the property of the Half-Blood Prince" and begins to learn more about Lord Voldemort's dark past.Again, a little under-rated in my opinion with the slower pace making for moody and impactful tale that allows Harry to really grow into his own.
- DirectorDavid YatesStarsDaniel RadcliffeEmma WatsonRupert GrintWith their warning about Lord Voldemort's return scoffed at, Harry and Dumbledore are targeted by the Wizard authorities as an authoritarian bureaucrat slowly seizes power at Hogwarts. The longest book made the shortest film, and this foray into the darker side of things is an engaging and compelling experience. It is one of the most action-packed while still retaining a focus on character, and the cast is as relatable as ever.
- DirectorAlfonso CuarónStarsDaniel RadcliffeEmma WatsonRupert GrintHarry Potter, Ron and Hermione return to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for their third year of study, where they delve into the mystery surrounding an escaped prisoner who poses a dangerous threat to the young wizard.Everybody seems to love this installment but, while it is still a fantastic film and tons of fun, I don't think it is as good as some of the others in the series - it's certainly not my favourite.
- DirectorChris ColumbusStarsDaniel RadcliffeRupert GrintEmma WatsonAn orphaned boy enrolls in a school of wizardry, where he learns the truth about himself, his family and the terrible evil that haunts the magical world. The first Potter film is still highly enjoyable, and perhaps portrays sheer wonder better than any other in the series, but it's age and the inexperience of the cast is starting to show; the 'worst' of the series is still an amazing film though.
- DirectorDavid YatesStarsDaniel RadcliffeEmma WatsonRupert GrintHarry Potter is tasked with the dangerous and seemingly impossible task of locating and destroying Voldemort's remaining Horcruxes. Harry must rely on Ron and Hermione more than ever, but dark forces threaten to tear them apart.A little overlong, a tad drawn-out and perhaps the most unusual in the series, but the actors really sell this one and I think it's a little under-rated; I thoroughly enjoy it every time I watch.
