Could it have been anything else?
Sure, season 3 was arguably the worst season of the show. But not this finale. Far and away exceeding expectations, this episode proved that the series would get over its "Irish" phase and continue to be the great show it was in season 2. Even though it never got as fantastic as this again (with the exception of several moments), season 3's finale is a truly fantastic ending to a decent season. - RegistaKurt SutterStelleCharlie HunnamKatey SagalMark Boone JuniorAs SAMCRO attempts to rid Charming of Ethan Zobelle and The League permanently, familiar faces present new challenges.Season: 2
I, along with the majority of fans, believe that season 2 is the best season of the show, far and away. The finale to season 2 is full of emotion, action, and ends with a cliffhanger that will tie the series to the next storyline. A fantastic ending to a fantastic season. - RegistaKurt SutterStelleCharlie HunnamKatey SagalMark Boone JuniorJax strikes a new deal while ridding himself of old problems.Season: 5
Even though the plot twist pales in comparison to season 3's, the Jax/Tig/Pope showdown is still a series highlight. Still, one can't help but feel that the showrunners were prolonging Ron Pearlman's death as long as possible. A really great ending to a great season. - RegistaKurt SutterStelleCharlie HunnamKatey SagalMark Boone JuniorAfter a tragedy hits the club, the bonds of brotherhood are called into question and Jax must take a stand.Season: 1
The climax of season 1 had already happened. However, the season still had loose ends to tie up. The final episode of the first season has some very emotional moments, and an ending that determines the path of the show for the rest of the series. A really great ending to a good season. - RegistaKurt SutterStelleCharlie HunnamKatey SagalMark Boone JuniorJax has to handle some unhappy customers as the weapon deal goes through Mike's organization. Meanwhile, Tara finds a way to avoid jail without giving up the MC.Season: 6
I didn't want to put this one so low because it's so great. The episode is almost an hour and a half long, so it does feel a little long. It takes its time, builds up the emotion, and has a sudden surprise event that the end that divides fans. A great ending to a really good season. - RegistaKurt SutterStelleCharlie HunnamKatey SagalMark Boone JuniorSAMCRO president Jax Teller takes the final steps towards fulfilling his father's legacy.Season: 7
The series finale is really good. It wraps up whatever loose ends are left, and ends Jax's story. However, there are missteps and scenes that could be picked apart. Nonetheless, the good outweighs the bad and ends the show on a good note. A good ending to a decent season. - RegistaKurt SutterStelleCharlie HunnamKatey SagalMark Boone JuniorJax must overcome great obstacles as he attempts to finalize the gun deal between the Irish and the cartel.Season: 4
Easily the worst of the finales. The "plot twist" revealed at the start of the episode feels like it was written by the writers just to keep the show going, where clearly it was heading to a close. There are some great moments, but the rest of the series will forever suffer from being stretched out just a little too long. A 'meh' ending to a good season.
