Slasher movies I'm considering to watch
I didn't like the genre at first, but really changed my mind until I saw some great or at least fun ones. These are slashers I might give a watch later on since they look entertaining or funny enough. I might update with my thoughts on those I've seen later on. I will also add more picks.
(NOTE: There are those I already *know* I will watch in the near future, so Nightmare On Elm Street 5-7 are not on the list)
Anyone is free to offer me more suggestions.

- DirectorWilliam CrainStarsWilliam MarshallVonetta McGeeDenise NicholasAn 18th-century African prince, turned into a vampire by Dracula, finds himself in modern-day Los Angeles.Blacula! XD I gotta watch this as soon as possible.
WATCHED: Good movie. Good sequel too. - DirectorWes CravenStarsSandra PeabodyLucy GranthamDavid HessTwo teenage girls heading to a rock concert for one's birthday try to score marijuana in the city, where they are kidnapped and brutalized by a gang of psychopathic convicts.A very obvious choice.
WATCHED: Highly disturbing movie. What a way to burst into the horror scene. - DirectorWes CravenStarsSusan LanierRobert HoustonJohn SteadmanOn the way to California, a family has the misfortune to have their car break down in an area closed to the public, and inhabited by violent savages ready to attack. This one seems really good. Not really excited for the remake though, even though I very much liked Aja's Mirrors.
WATCHED: I recommend it. - DirectorDennis DonnellyStarsCameron MitchellPamelyn FerdinWesley EureA ski-masked maniac kills apartment complex tenants with the contents of a toolbox.Looks creepy.
WATCHED:
It wasn't that creepy, but an interesting watch. It's very, very 70's in style and tone. What's also to note is that the first and second half feel like almost completely different movies. The first is like an "entertainment horror" where you just see a goofy villain slash everyone down with ease, with even a soft core porn-esque scene inbetween... while the second is more in line with a detective mystery where twists are revealed one after one. I recommend it, even though it gets very slow in some parts. 7.5/10 - DirectorMeir ZarchiStarsCamille KeatonEron TaborRichard PaceAn aspiring writer is repeatedly assaulted, humiliated, and left for dead by four men she systematically hunts down to seek revenge.Disturbing plot, but incredibly interesting at the same time.
WATCHED:
Incredible! The movie was excellently directed and very gritty, even by 70's standards. The acting was great as well, and even though it's exploitation, the subject matter hits you very hard and is a very effective "fuck you" to the condescending sexist creeps out there. There's a very important message, which is worth holding onto. Powerful and really, really scary. An important piece of cinema which deserves extensive analyzing. 9/10 - DirectorDavid SchmoellerStarsChuck ConnorsJocelyn JonesJon Van NessA group of young friends stranded at a secluded roadside museum are stalked by a masked assailant who uses his telekinetic powers to control the attraction's mannequins.Already the poster is spooky!
WATCHED:
Terrific spooky dolls-gone-mad film. There are many things to love about it, but especially Chuck Connors' brilliantly demented performance as Mr. Slausen. 9/10 - DirectorDon CoscarelliStarsA. Michael BaldwinBill ThornburyReggie BannisterA teenage boy and his friends face off against a mysterious grave robber, known only as the Tall Man, who employs a lethal arsenal of unearthly weapons. The 70's had some of the most iconic horror movies ever made, and this looks like it could be one of them!
WATCHED:
It is. - DirectorWilliam LustigStarsJoe SpinellCaroline MunroAbigail ClaytonA psychopathic man goes on a killing and mutilation spree in New York City.Weird as it sounds, I actually want to see him find love. Never hurts with a happy horror movie ending once in a while! :P
WATCHED: OH MY GOD. What was I thinking with this awful description? This guy is a total freak who doesn't understand what love is. If he won at the end it would've definitely NOT been a happy ending. Splendid film though. - DirectorKevin ConnorStarsRory CalhounPaul LinkeNancy ParsonsA seemingly friendly farmer and his sister kidnap unsuspecting travelers and bury them alive, using them to create the "special meat" they are famous for.I've seen horror movies about hotels, but not motels. This could be interesting.
- DirectorRoger SpottiswoodeStarsBen JohnsonJamie Lee CurtisHart BochnerThree years after a prank went terribly awry, the six college students responsible are targeted by a masked killer at a New Year's Eve party aboard a moving train. One of those cases where the poster alone is enough to allure me.
WATCHED:
I really liked this. Fun with its own unique kind of feel to it. Nice mystery, albeit its predictability. 8/10 - DirectorMurray MintzStarsGarry GoodrowMichael Paul ChanMax GailA serial killer is plaguing San Francisco, surgically removing the hearts of his victims. Assigned to the case is a weak-stomached homicide detective who investigates the possibility of black market organ transplants.Sure, why not :)
- DirectorEmmett AlstonStarsRoz KellyKip NivenChris WallaceDuring a New Year's Eve celebration, a Los Angeles disc jockey receives a phone call saying that when New Year's strikes in each time zone, someone will be murdered - and she will be the last one.I'm a sucker for holiday horror.
WATCHED:
Very decent, almost approaching good sometimes. Had its problems, but the fair share of chills and the villain of the movie (he wasn't scary of whatever, but intimidating) made it a fun time. 7/10 - DirectorRick RosenthalStarsJamie Lee CurtisDonald PleasenceCharles CyphersWhile Dr. Loomis hunts for Michael Myers, a traumatized Laurie is rushed to Haddonfield Memorial Hospital, and The Shape is not far behind her.I liked the first, and this looks good too. The third one looks awful though, and I'm not sure about the others.
WATCHED: I might have liked it more than the original? I would have to rewatch the original Halloween to be totally sure, but this is still a great sequel which still has some of the John Carpenter touch to it, including the excellent soundtrack and the script. - DirectorEd HuntStarsLori LethinMelinda CordellJulie BrownThree children are born at the height of an eclipse of the sun. Ten years later, they begin to murder the people around them - even their family members.Creepy, murderous kids? I'M IN!

More complex than I expected. Very interesting plot. - DirectorJimmy HustonStarsCecile BagdadiJoel S. RiceRalph BrownA psycho killer shows up on college campus to slash up pretty co-eds and dumb jocks.Lookin' forward to seeing them getting ex... terminated instead.
Okay, that was bad. Still, this movie looks all right. - DirectorTom DeSimoneStarsLinda BlairVincent Van PattenPeter BartonFour college fraternity and sorority pledges spend the night in a deserted old mansion as part of a hazing ritual during hell night, where they are stalked by the only survivor of a family massacre from the mansion's sordid past. After I see The Exorcist, I will also get to this one.
Edit: I've seen The Exorcist, and it was great. I'm still planning on watching this too.
WATCHED: Contains some character dumbassery, but overall a solid atmospheric ghost story. Linda Blair is charming as hell. - DirectorAmy Holden JonesStarsMichele MichaelsRobin StilleMichael VillellaA female high school student's slumber party turns into a bloodbath, as a newly escaped psychotic serial killer wielding a power drill prowls her neighborhood.Hahaha
WATCHED:
I really liked this movie. It was funny and effectively creepy at the same time. And even though the producers interfered, there's quite a large chunk of satire left. 8.2/10 - DirectorRichard FranklinStarsAnthony PerkinsVera MilesMeg TillyAfter twenty-two years of psychiatric care, Norman Bates attempts to return to a life of solitude, but the specters of his crimes - and his mother - continue to haunt him.Anthony Perkins alone will be worth the ride.
- DirectorRobert HiltzikStarsFelissa RoseJonathan TierstenKaren FieldsBunks and showers are a mad stabber's beat at a summer camp strictly for teens. One of those must-see classics.
WATCHED: Surprisingly uncomfortable viewing. The ending is extremely creepy as well. - DirectorFritz KierschStarsPeter HortonLinda HamiltonR.G. ArmstrongA young couple is trapped in a remote town where a dangerous religious cult of children believes that everyone over age 18 must be killed.Absolutely! High possibility of being a classic.
WATCHED:
It's more funny than scary, but pretty nice nevertheless. 8/10 - DirectorFred WaltonStarsDeborah ForemanGriffin O'NealClayton RohnerNine college students staying at a friend's remote island mansion begin to fall victim to an unseen murderer over the April Fool's Day weekend, but nothing is as it seems.Well like I said, I like holiday horror a lot.
WATCHED:

One of the horror comedies which succeeds the most at also being scary in the process.
- DirectorAnthony PerkinsStarsAnthony PerkinsDiana ScarwidJeff FaheyNorman Bates falls in love with a fallen nun who stays at the Bates Motel alongside a drifter and a curious reporter. Meanwhile, "Mother" is still watching.Same reason as with the second one.
