- CreatorsJames L. BrooksMatt GroeningSam SimonStarsDan CastellanetaNancy CartwrightJulie KavnerThe satiric half-hour adventures of a working-class family in the misfit city of Springfield.Unlike most people I don't think this show started off well and then went bad . I think it was always bad. Granted, I was a big fan of the show when I was younger, but now after going back and seeing the original episodes, I'm let scratching my head and asking myself: what was I thinking?
- CreatorsSeth MacFarlaneDavid ZuckermanStarsSeth MacFarlaneAlex BorsteinSeth GreenIn a wacky Rhode Island town, a dysfunctional family strives to cope with everyday life as they are thrown from one crazy scenario to another. To be honest I don't think the first four seasons of the show where that bad. But now the quality of the show has declined so rapidly and so sharply that looking at it now only saddens me. The characters have become a shell of their former selves and it really breaks my heart only hope that this show will be cancelled soon... Again.
- CreatorsStephen HillenburgTim HillNick JenningsStarsTom KennyRodger BumpassBill FagerbakkeThe misadventures of a talking sea sponge who works at a fast food restaurant, attends a boating school, and lives in an underwater pineapple.Okay I'll admit it, There are some episodes of this show, that are genuinely funny. However, said episodes are few and far between. More often than not, the character of SpongeBob himself, comes across as being more annoying than charming or funny. This is one of those shows that I just don't understand the appeal of.
- CreatorJim JinkinsStarsBilly WestFred NewmanConstance ShulmanThe life of a young boy as he meets friends, falls in love, maneuvers his way through grade 6 and writes all about it in his journal.Once again, this was a show that I kind of liked when I was younger, however after watching it again the novelty of It kind of wore off. Doug is another one of those characters that I just can't stand. He's whiny, overly concerned about insignificant things, and just plain irritating!
- CreatorsCraig BartlettSteve VikstenJoe AnsolabehereStarsFrancesca Marie SmithJamil Walker SmithDan CastellanetaThe everyday life of Arnold, a fourth-grader in the city of Hillwood, Washington, who lives in a multi-racial boarding house with his grandparents and a motley assortment of friends and neighbors.I really don't understand what this show is trying to be, is it supposed to be funny, or serious? The characters are one dimensional and boring, the episodes are forgettable, and the animation is just mediocre. I never liked this show, but apparently a lot of people did, because it spawned a movie.
- CreatorPeter HannanStarsJim CummingsTom KennyCarlos AlazraquiThe life and times of a cat and a dog with a unique twist: they're connected, literally. Adding to their dilemma is Cat's annoyance with Dog, mainly caused by Dog's stupidity and Cat's up-tight personality. The show sucked! Nuff said!
- CreatorsGabor CsupoPaul GermainArlene KlaskyStarsElizabeth DailyChristine CavanaughNancy CartwrightTommy, Chuckie, Angelica, Phil and Lil and Susie find themselves in a slew of adventures - both real and imaginary. Baldly go where no baby's every gone before as the Rugrats turn the ordinary into the extraordinary every day.Look, it's toddlers talking, and going on adventures, isn't that cute? NO!! Just because something's cute, doesn't make it good.
- CreatorCraig McCrackenStarsCathy CavadiniElizabeth DailyTara StrongThree super-powered little girls constantly save the world (or at least the city of Townsville) from monsters, would-be conquerers and a few other gross things. This is another one of those shows where I'm left scratching my head. Just what was so great about this show? The humour was crappy, the action sucked, and the animation was beyond sloppy. Apparently though, it was successful enough to spawn a movie.
- CreatorsJoe RubyKen SpearsJoseph BarberaStarsDon MessickCasey KasemNicole JaffeA group of teenage friends and their Great Dane (Scooby-Doo) travel in a bright green van solving strange and hilarious mysteries, while returning from or going to a regular teenage function.I don't think Hanna - Barbera is a bad animation studio, because there are some cartoons of theirs that I like. Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound, and Quick draw McGraw, just to name a few. Scooby Doo however, never really stuck with me. I'll give it credit, that it teaches kids deductive reasoning, but that's the only positive thing that I can say about it.
- CreatorsMichael Dante DiMartinoBryan KonietzkoStarsDee Bradley BakerZach Tyler EisenMae WhitmanIn a war-torn world of elemental powers, a young boy reawakens to undertake a dangerous mystic quest to fulfill his destiny as the Avatar, and bring peace to the world. Not that bad, but not that good either. I've heard people describe this show as: "The best anime show ever!" First off, this isn't anime! Second, you need to watch more anime, if you think that this is the best. Personally, I think Dragonball Z blows this show out of the water!
- CreatorsJeff AstrofGabor CsupoArlene KlaskyStarsLacey ChabertJodi CarlisleTim CurryEliza Thornberry is not your ordinary kid. It's not just because she travels the world in an RV with her parents: famous nature show hosts. Eliza also happened to be granted the magical ability to talk with and understand animals.Once again we have a show that falls into the "not that bad but not that good." Category. I've always found this show to be bland, boring, and generic. But apparently many people enjoyed it, because it got its own movie.
- CreatorsJohn A. DavisSteve OedekerkStarsDebi DerryberryRob PaulsenJeffrey GarciaA young boy, who happens to be a genius, lives in a small town with his family and friends and often gets into crazy adventures with them involving the things he invents. This show is the textbook definition of "Overrated." The computer animation of this show is very good, so I'll give it some credit there. While the animation is good, it's not the best I've ever seen. So why do I say that it's overrated? Because this show spawned: One theatrical movie, (which served as the series's pilot.) Two made for TV films, three crossovers, and one spin-off!
- StarsGeorge S. IrvingWally CoxNorma MacMillanThe adventures of a rhyming canine superhero.Take Superman, make him a dog, give him a different name, then give him a costume that hurts your eyes by looking at it, then give him a lame secret identity. Next, take Lois Lane, make her a dog, take away her character, then give her a ridiculous dog name. Then, throw in some cheesy, cliche, asinine villains that have no motivations or charisma, and what do you get? This crap!
- DirectorsIzzy SparberNick TafuriStarsFrank GallopJack MercerMae QuestelDepressed by the antics of the other ghosts, Casper leaves home to make friends. After unintentionally scaring several potential pals, Casper befriends two young children. They take him home, where Casper frightens their mother. Casper is again upset because he believes that he will always scare away his potential buddies. However, Casper scares away a banker who is coming to foreclose on the woman's house, and this wins her heart for Casper.Even before"Rugrats" they had cartoons that relied on the "cute-ness" factor. Cute+sweet+ sentimental, does not equal good!
- StarsJack MercerMae QuestelJackson BeckThe continuing animated adventures of Olive Oyl, Wimpy, Swee'pea and Popeye. Before you start hating me everyone, hear me out: I think that the sight gags that this show employs are funny, but as far as I can go when it comes to the good things about this show. Every episode of this show is exactly the same! The locations and costumes may be different, but the plots are the same. Furthermore, why are Popeye and Bluto always fighting over the gaunt, flat chested, ugly, whiny voiced, Olive anyway?
