Top 10 films based upon a computer/video game

by sygtnok • Created 11 years ago • Modified 11 years ago
As should be apparent from the list, we still are yet to see an instructor really able to turn some of the fantastic storyline from the video/pc game world into a film generally accepted as good. Why this is is a wonder. Computer and video games are an integral part of modern society and many games have really good stories that are as important to them as the game-play itself. Maybe, the reason is that so many horrible attempt at filmitization was made as to discourage most talented instructor from ever going down that road.

But still, a few good moves have been made in my opinion, no masterpieces, but good movies still. Here's a list of the 10 best.

DirectorSteven E. de SouzaStarsJean-Claude Van DammeRaul JuliaMing-Na Wen
It might be a lousy film, but it does star Van Damme, and that fact alone makes it worthwhile to watch. Also, several part of the film makes your laugh, mostly at it though, not with it. And last but not least, it got one of our all time favourite movie quotes: "For you, the day Bison grazed your village was the most important in your life. But for me, it was Tuesday."

But even after all that, it still is really just a *beep* movie.
