Momma tries to solve the swimming problem with a couple of leaves, but sends the chick home when that fails. The chick hits on using a half-eggshell as a boat, and manages to rejoin the group. Then trouble, in the form of a bird of prey, which tries to snatch a duckling, but loses a tailfeather to the chick. It chases the chick into an old mill, but gets its head stuck in a wheel. The chick is a hero, and teaches his siblings to crow like a rooster.

A spider runs a hotel for flies where he keeps his guests captive. A pair of fly newlyweds arrive and check in. Fortunately, the husband is "flyweight champion". After a pitched battle featuring arrows (fountain pen nibs) and a machinegun (aspirins shot from a perfume atomizer), the spider winds up in a bottle of library paste.

He barricades himself in a hollow tree, where he starts preparing dinner while a ram heads a battering ram, a beaver starts eating his way in, and two birds start sawing, but the fox foils them all. The battering ram crew makes their way in just in time, and the lamb is rescued while the fox is punished.

Because the onion boy smells and makes everyone's eyes water,!none of the other vegetable kids will play with him.

Do you know what the kitty cat is up to when you're not looking? A neighborhood of housecats unhappily put outside in the cold for the night get up to plenty in this Fleischer "Color Classic" when they form a swinging chorus of feline yowlers, tormenting at least one canine in the process.
