- DirectorPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioProfessor Farnsworth invents a button that can take a person 10 seconds back in time, inadvertently causing major consequences.the best finale of any tv show ever
probably tied with six feet under, it's just that good
the final montage of the show is one of the most magical, awe-inspiring, jaw-dropping moments in its entirety
an instant classic, will definitely make you miss the show
this episode had everything the show's classic run offered: humour, heart, jerk bender, raw emotion, classic one-liner zoidberg topped off with a great resolution to fry and leela's relationship, disturbing sequences of fry jumping off a building continuously and a simply beautiful montage
10/10 - DirectorsEdmund FongPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioThe Planet Express crew journeys into Fry's dreams to pull off a mission in the year 1999.another episode similar to 'luck of the fryrish' or 'jurassic bark' in that it brings out this rare emotion that is barely ever seen in any animation
futurama is the only cartoon that is perfectly capable of handling this to a pleasant degree
what a splendid episode, gave a great finale to fry's relationship with his mother
another reason to miss futurama
9.9/10 - DirectorsStephen SandovalPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioWhen Fry gets trapped in ice during Oktoberfest he is mistaken for a caveman and accepted in the isolated world of the Neanderthals. Convinced he is a Neanderthal himself he decides to plot a war against the stuck up Homo Sapiens.an amazing gem of an episode from the first run of season 7, with heart, an awesome battle scene, great humour and a well-written plot
9.7/10 - DirectorsLance KramerPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioThe crew goes to Omicron Persei 8, where Fry is left behind, and rescued by a local boy, but his only wish is to go home.i am a big fan of lrrr and this episode brought out a great deal of continuity with his son jrrr (who was introduced in problem with popplers) to an amazing extent
i love the subtle e.t. references and the overall story
a lovely fry episode, but bender definitely stood out well with the ongoing joke of pretending fry arrived back on earth all along
9.7/10 - DirectorsLance KramerPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioAfter Fry has a quarrel with Professor Farnsworth about family issues, Fry looks up Farnsworth's parents and lets them spend time together.a spectacular emotional episode with an unexpected plot twist at the end
nice seeing the near-death star back again from 'a clone of my own'
great episode, great humour, great emotion and characterisations
9.6/10 - DirectorsFrank MarinoPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioThe crew get trapped aboard the Planet Express ship with a horrific alien creature.spooky, hilarious and superbly characterised
awesome episode with an awesome ending
9.6/10 - DirectorsStephen SandovalPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioFry and Bender resurrect Calculon to make "All My Circuits" interesting again. But things don't go exactly as planned.poor, dear old calculon. getting his goal in life upon resurrection and then getting killed off again
but what a way to end such a funny character
great episode, made me kinda sad in the end, leela was at her very best though with that speech she gave to calculon that changed him
9.5/10 - DirectorsCrystal ChesneyPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioZoidberg's budding romance with a flower shop owner who cannot smell his unpleasant odor is tested when he's given the opportunity to give her a nose transplant.zoidberg finally found happiness!
beautiful episode with a dark, twisted and flat-out hilarious subplot from bender, who was at his very finest
but i'm happy for zoidberg. being treated like dirt all these years by his colleagues only to find a love that will keep him around <3
9.4/10 - DirectorsFrank MarinoPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioBender accidentally becomes a firefighting hero, and loves it so much that he becomes a full-time firefighter. And he has plenty of opportunities to display his heroism, because fires mysteriously start everywhere he goes.a fine episode with a very different approach to the climax
it's a wonderful friendship episode between fry and bender, with bender having a little bit of heart in him at the end
9.4/10 - DirectorsDwayne Carey-HillPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioThe Planet Express crew gets involved in the running campaigns for the new world presidency.a great episode that touches on the future and how president nixon will screw everything up if everyone in the present votes for him in the re-election
nice nod to the "birth certificate" incident involving obama too
9.3/10 - DirectorsRaymie MuzquizPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioBender searches the entire universe for his shiny metal rear end.this... this episode is odd in a good way
especially the end sequence, which could be one of the best of season 7 and weirdest of the entire series. just that last shot of an awe-struck sailor (as well as the scene of bender's ass returning to him) is incredible
9.3/10 - DirectorsStephen SandovalPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioBender fathers a child with the office beverage machine.a great season opener and bender episode, which touches on subjects such as parenting, a subject which bender is not very familiar with
but it handles well. and i really like the emotion at the end, where ben undergoes the memory replacement. so sweet and heart-breaking at the same time
great stuff
9.2/10 - DirectorsEdmund FongPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioBender gets his friends in trouble by becoming a paparazzo.this one was very good and very weird, especially the ego monster that consumes everyone's souls
but nonetheless, a very nice episode with good humour and a shocking twist in the end that involves calculon giving his life to be the best actor
9.2/10 - DirectorPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioAfter Hermes gets replaced by a machine he gets himself upgraded to become useful again for the company.the song at the end and zoidberg were definite highlights
same with roberto, and hermes' constant robo upgrades
solid stuff
9.1/10 - DirectorsCrystal ChesneyPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioA humorous mockumentary about nature.the salmon and the tortoise segments were the best, both being really funny and enjoyable
the seal segment was pretty good, but not the best to finish the episode on
9.1/10 - DirectorsEdmund FongPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioFry and Leela try to have some private time, but no matter where they go someone gets in their way. Finally they pay for a secluded romantic getaway, which turns out to be even worse.this was a good episode, but it felt somewhat different
the atmosphere of the episode was rather different to what you'd expect in another futurama episode, but it was still a great taste of something new and it worked just fine
cute episode
9/10 - DirectorsFrank MarinoPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioThe Planet Express crew goes gambling in Mars Vegas where they risk far more than losing their chips.a solid effort with great humour and characterisations on behalf of zoidberg, the mafia and amy
zoidberg episodes can be rather bland but this was a decent step up from his typical others like 'lobstertainment' and 'freedom day', both which were disappointing in some ways
8.9/10 - DirectorsRaymie MuzquizPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioAfter Planet Express ship is scrapped, professor saves it from the junkyard and rebuilds it into a super racer. But an accident during a race sends the ship into a two-dimensional universe.a very different but refreshingly exciting way to open the second run of season 7
this episode's grade derives less from the story but more from the visual aspects of things as well as experimenting with innovative ways to show this visual experience, like with the whole 2d storyline near the end
farnsworth was at his utmost craziest, and it was quite enjoyable
8.9/10 - DirectorsLance KramerPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioAfter a rare condition causes Leela to grow tentacles, she stumbles upon a secret genetic engineering facility.good episode, with nice characterisation and continuity
back in season 6 i got pretty worried about the way they took leela's character, but i saw a major change in season 7 where she became enjoyable as a character again and this episode shows it
good to see mom back again before the show ended too for the last time
8.8/10 - DirectorsEdmund FongPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioWhen Bender joins the local Fox Hunting Club ethical questions about killing things arise.not much to say about this one, except that it had a nice cameo and the bender/fox storyline was pretty good, but i didn't enjoy it as much as i wanted to
this doesn't mean it was bad cos it was still a good episode, it just lacked enjoyability because it seemed to drag on a bit near the end
leela was pretty good here though
8.7/10 - DirectorsFrank MarinoPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioLeela's parents break up and while Leela's mother starts dating, her father picks up his youthful antics.a good brannigan episode and good comeback for leela's parents
it wasn't very memorable, but from what i remember it had a few decent laughs and it was enjoyable to some extent
8.7/10 - DirectorsStephen SandovalPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioBender finally fulfills his dream of becoming a folk singer by creating a copy of a famous guitar, but then something goes terribly wrong.a decent effort from a very creative writer, who i felt could've expanded his ideas more broadly with this one
i didn't like the ending at all, but the rest of the episode was pretty fine
the folk songs were catchy
8.6/10 - DirectorsRaymie MuzquizPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioAfter Bender realizes he has no power over the decisions he makes, he goes on a soul searching trip to liberate himself from the shackles of his pre-deterministic operation system.everything was rather strange in this episode, as there seemed to be too much going on
one minute i thought the whole episode would revolve around bender embracing that faith explored in the episode, then it turns to something else and then finishes very abruptly and oddly
but nonetheless it's still a fine effort, just not the best
8.5/10 - DirectorsRaymie MuzquizPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioEarth gets evacuated after a prediction of the end of the planet.didn't enjoy it as much and almost found it to be rather dragging on a bit, but still was a pretty decent episode with some good humour and memorable scenes
but bots and the bees really knocked it out of place for the better season opener of season 7 quite a bit
8.5/10 - DirectorsCrystal ChesneyPeter AvanzinoStarsBilly WestKatey SagalJohn DiMaggioLeela and Amy get involved in the tough world of the butterfly derby sport.envisioning leela and amy as they were portrayed in this episode in every futurama episode would be horrifying
i don't think the whole nectar (steroids) thing worked for me, the characters were just incredibly unlikeable (even though that's kinda the point)
other than that, the episode was quite nice and finished with a good climax of fry becoming a butterfly, although the final sequence was so abrupt, it just didn't really make sense at all
8.4/10
