Vincent Perez is too sexy in this!! :D
- DirectorCharles LamontStarsYvonne De CarloRod CameronAndy DevineA wanderer returns after six years and a one-night honeymoon to make amends with his bride and five year-old daughter.Johnny Hart (Rod Cameron) is on the run from the law after killing one of the men who shot his partner. He passes through a town and stops at a saloon owned by singer Lorena Dumont (Yvonne de Carlo). The two seem a good, albeit tempestuous match, although Johnny has no plans to marry - Lorena has other ideas and a shotgun wedding ensues. Blackie (Sheldon Leonard), an outlaw who is jealous of the marriage, informs Lorena of Johnny's wanted status, and he ends up getting caught by the law after their wedding night.
He serves six years and returns to find that he and Lorena don't get along any better than they did before, and that he's also the father of a five-year-old girl (Beverly Simmons). Also lurking about is Blackie, whom he recognizes as one of the men who killed his partner, and Blackie wants Johnny out of the way so he can marry Lorena. An odd and different kind of western, but that's what I love about it! - DirectorNorman JewisonStarsCherNicolas CageOlympia DukakisLoretta Castorini, a bookkeeper from Brooklyn, New York, finds herself in a difficult situation when she falls for the brother of the man she has agreed to marry.Thirty-seven-year-old Loretta Castorini (Cher), an Italian American widow, is an accountant for a few local businesses in Brooklyn Heights, New York. This was the romantic movie to end all romantic movies back in the 80s and gave Cher an Oscar for her performance. - DirectorRon HowardStarsTom HanksDaryl HannahEugene LevyA young man is reunited with a mermaid he briefly encountered as a boy and falls in love with her without knowing her secret. This was one of my favorite romantic comedies and I still enjoy it to this day! Tom Hanks stars as Allen Bauer, a workaholic in the produce industry who's convinced he can't fall in love. That is, until he's miraculously rescued at sea on Cape Cod by a mysterious woman of his dreams who turns out to be a mermaid. :D
- DirectorRob ReinerStarsCary ElwesMandy PatinkinRobin WrightA bedridden boy's grandfather reads him the story of a farmboy-turned-pirate who encounters numerous obstacles, enemies and allies in his quest to be reunited with his true love.An absolute cult classic for anyone who like this movie for the romance or the comedy. The Princess Bride is staged as a book read by grandfather (Peter Falk) to his ill grandson (Fred Savage). Falk's character assures a romance-weary Savage that the book has much more to deliver than a simpering love story, including but not limited to fencing, fighting, torture, death, true love, giants, and pirates.
The story is about a farm boy named Wesley(Cary Elwes) and the young woman who tortures him(we later find out it was out of love), Buttercup(Robin Wright) and how they battle the odds to hold on to one another against the ruthless Prince Humperdink(Chris Sarandon). - DirectorJohn G. AvildsenStarsSylvester StalloneTalia ShireBurt YoungA small-time Philadelphia boxer gets a supremely rare chance to fight the world heavyweight champion in a bout in which he strives to go the distance for his self-respect.Okay, please hear me out before you ream me! Yes, I know this is a sports drama, but I couldn't have this list and not talk about Rocky(Sylvester Stallone) and Adrian's(Talia Shire) relationship. This is a guy who looked at this painfully shy Plain Jane and thought she was the most beautiful woman in the world and because of that belief, she started to see it within herself. Their love and devotion to one another grew and flourish throughout the entire saga and it was just so beautiful to watch.
- DirectorJerome RobbinsRobert WiseStarsNatalie WoodGeorge ChakirisRichard BeymerTwo youngsters from rival New York City gangs fall in love, but tensions between their respective friends build toward tragedy.A love affair is fated for tragedy amidst the vicious rivalry of two street gangs... the Jets(who are white) and the Sharks(who are Puerto Rican). When former Jets member Tony (Richard Beymer) falls for the beautiful Maria (Natalie Wood), the sister of Sharks leader, Bernardo(George Chakiris) it's more than these two warring gangs can handle.
As mounting tensions rise, a battle to the death ensues, and innocent blood is shed in a heartbreaking finale. Love the music, the dancing, the story, Rita Moreno(who plays Bernardo's sassy girlfriend, Anita)! There's nothing about this film I don't love! :D - DirectorStanley DonenStarsJane PowellHoward KeelJeff RichardsWhen a backwoodsman in 1850s Oregon brings a wife home to his farm, his six brothers decide that they want to get married too. When the eldest of seven Oregon frontier brothers, Adam Pontipee(Howard Keel) announces his marriage plans to a village woman he'd only known for a few hours named Milly(Jane Powell), the other six, Benjamin, Caleb, Daniel, Ephraim, Frank (short for Frankincense, the Old Testament having no names beginning with F), and Gideon follow his advice and kidnap six beautiful women of their own.

Soon after the money Molly hid in the stove accidentally is burned, Johnny discovers the richest gold vein in state history. Molly's pursuit for money and respect has her almost losing sight of what's really important... her love for her husband. - DirectorHenry KosterStarsNancy KwanJames ShigetaBenson FongA young woman arrives in San Francisco's Chinatown from Hong Kong with the intention of marrying a rakish nightclub owner, unaware he is involved with one of his singers.A winsome young Chinese girl called Mei Li (Miyoshi Umeki) enters the United States illegally, in order to submit into an arranged marriage with San Francisco nightclub owner Sammy Fong (Jack Soo). Arthur reluctantly agrees to the arranged marriage, but he meets a working-class Queens waitress, Linda Marolla (Liza Minnelli), and despite her being a shoplifter, is attracted to her and begins to fall in love with her. The film is also notable for its title song, "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)", co-written by Christopher Cross, Burt Bacharach, Carole Bayer Sager and Peter Allen, and performed by Christopher Cross. Funny and beautifully romantic! :D - DirectorBarbra StreisandStarsBarbra StreisandNick NolteBlythe DannerA troubled man talks to his suicidal sister's psychiatrist about their family history and falls in love with her in the process. This film tells the story of a married football coach, Tom Wingo's(Nick Nolte)struggle to overcome the psychological damage inflicted by his dysfunctional childhood in South Carolina with the help of his suicidal sister, Susannah's(Melinda Dillon) psychiatrist, Susan Lowenstein(Barbra Streisand) whom he ends up falling in love with.

She observes their secret after-hours party and the "dirty dancing" (i.e., the Mambo) involved. This movie was my obsession when I was 11 and it's still hard for me to fathom that Patrick is no longer with us. :'( - DirectorGary TrousdaleKirk WiseStarsPaige O'HaraRobby BensonJesse CortiA prince cursed to spend his days as a hideous monster sets out to regain his humanity by earning a young woman's love.Beauty and the Beast focuses on the relationship between a selfish prince(voiced by Robby Benson) who is consequentially transformed into a hideous beast and a beautiful young woman named Belle(voiced by Paige O'Hara), whom he imprisons inside his castle. They return to the reality of their normal lives, but cannot seem to forget Paris. Mickey and Ellen ultimately reunite and marry, but do not "live happily ever after" (at least, not immediately). They deal with common marriage issues such as: her father moving in with them, failed attempts at child conception, and each spouse unsuccessfully attempting a professional change to accommodate the other. Such a cute and underrated romantic comedy! :D - DirectorGary WinickStarsJennifer GarnerMark RuffaloJudy GreerUnpopular schoolgirl Jenna Rink makes an unusual wish on her birthday. - DirectorJoel ZwickStarsNia VardalosJohn CorbettMichael ConstantineA young Greek woman falls in love with a non-Greek and struggles to get her family to accept him while she comes to terms with her heritage and cultural identity.Fotoula "Toula" Portokalos (Nia Vardalos) is going through an early midlife crisis. Her family expects her to "marry a Greek boy, make Greek babies, and feed everyone until the day she dies." Instead, Toula is stuck working in the family business, a restaurant, "Dancing Zorba's." In contrast to her "perfect" sister, Athena (Stavroula Logothetis), Toula is frumpy and cynical. She fears she's doomed to be stuck with her life as it is.
One day, she briefly sees Ian Miller(John Corbett), a handsome school teacher. This event, combined with an argument with her overly-patriotic father, Gus(Michael Constantine) - who merely wants his daughter to marry and settle down rather than pursue a career - permits her to begin taking computer classes at a local college. She gives herself a makeover by ditching her glasses for contacts, wearing makeup and updating her wardrobe and asks her aunt for a position at her travel agency.
She's loving her new look and job and her confidence shows... just in time for Ian to come into her life again. They start going out against the wishes of her parents because Ian's not Greek. I related to this movie and Toula so much! Our lives mirror each others in so many ways. I hope one day I will find my Ian! :D <3 - DirectorPeter SegalStarsAdam SandlerDrew BarrymoreRob SchneiderHenry Roth is a man afraid of commitment until he meets the beautiful Lucy. He has a reputation of romancing female tourists, a strategy he employs to avoid becoming involved in a serious relationship. One day, at Hukilau Café, he meets a young woman named Lucy Whitmore (Drew Barrymore). Believing her to be a local, he avoids introducing himself, but the next day he returns. He and Lucy hit it off and she asks him to meet her again the next morning.
However, when Henry goes back to the café the following day, Lucy has no memory of their previous meeting. The restaurant owner Sue explains to Henry that, the previous year, Lucy and her father Marlin had a serious car accident on his birthday that left her with anterograde amnesia, which inhibits her ability to form new memories. As such, she wakes up every morning thinking it is Sunday, October 13, of a year ago. Out of all the Sandler/Barrymore romance movies, this one is my favorite, even over "The Wedding Singer". - DirectorRobert WiemerStarsSarah Jessica ParkerNancy AddisonTom SheaWhen a teenage girl witnesses a plane crash, she talks with one of the injured passengers...only to find out he was actually killed in the accident. After witnessing a plane crash, a teenage girl named Lori, (Sarah Jessica Parker) falls off her horse, hits her head, befriends then falls in love with the ghost of the victim of that crash, Terry, (Tom Shea) that only she can see. Iris meets composer, Miles(Jack Black) whom she emotionally bonds with after he experiences his own personal heartbreak. This movie really surprised me especially with the casting of Jack Black as one of the romantic leads. I ended up finding Miles and Iris to be the more believable and endearing couple. - DirectorDonald PetrieStarsKate HudsonMatthew McConaugheyAdam GoldbergBenjamin Barry is an advertising executive and ladies' man who, to win a big campaign, bets that he can make a woman fall in love with him in 10 days.In any other aspect, this would be the typical rom-com that I've grown to loathe if it weren't for scenes where Andie(Kate Hudson) visit Ben's(Matthew McConaughey) family in Staten Island for the weekend. His family was hilarious and sweet and that's what ultimately won me over. While holidaying together, Ben and Andie begin to form a genuine bond, playing card games with the family, learning to ride Ben's motorcycle.
