- DirectorWillard HuyckStarsLea ThompsonJeffrey JonesTim RobbinsA sarcastic humanoid duck is pulled from his homeworld to Earth where he must stop an alien invasion with the help of a nerdy scientist and a struggling female rock singer.I used to watch this movie religiously. I recently found out that I may be the only person that ever liked this one. Sad =(
- DirectorYahoo SeriousStarsYahoo SeriousOdile Le ClezioJohn HowardAlbert Einstein turns the science community upside down with his discoveries including a formula to put bubbles back in beer and rock n' roll.Great soundtrack!
- DirectorMichael DinnerStarsBobcat GoldthwaitDabney ColemanJohn CandyAn insecure stockbroker teams up with Don the Talking Horse, a chatty four-legged financial advisor.Another one that I was glued to every time it came on TV. I loved Bobcat back in the day. John Candy's horse character, Don, had some damn funny lines.
- DirectorWilliam ShatnerStarsWilliam ShatnerLeonard NimoyDeForest KelleyCaptain Kirk and his crew must deal with Mr. Spock's long-lost half-brother who hijacks the Enterprise for an obsessive search for God at the center of the galaxy. Most peoples' least favorite Star Trek movie. Not mine.
- DirectorAllan ArkushStarsJackie MasonRobert StackDyan CannonWhen a crass new-money tycoon's membership application is turned down at a snooty country club, he retaliates by buying the club and turning it into a tacky amusement park.Chevy Chase, Dan Akroyd, Randy Quaid, and Jackie Mason are all really friggin hilarious in this. It has lines that I still use to this day.
- DirectorMartha CoolidgeStarsVal KilmerStacy PeraltaDaniel AdesAn uptight teenage prodigy enters a top engineering college, but feels awkward among the freewheeling students. When a professor aims to turn their laser project into a military weapon, he and his offbeat roommate plot to ruin the plan. This is my favorite Val Kilmer movie. My sister and I grew up reciting this movie
- DirectorLeonard NimoyStarsWilliam ShatnerLeonard NimoyDeForest KelleyAdmiral Kirk and his bridge crew risk their careers stealing the decommissioned U.S.S. Enterprise to return to the restricted Genesis Planet to recover Spock's body. Most people's 2nd least favorite blah blah blah.
- DirectorHal NeedhamStarsDirk BenedictTanya RobertsRoddy PiperA down-on-his-luck music manager for the fictional rock band Kick finds his luck changing when he by mistake also starts managing a successful wrestling duo.I was a pro-wrestling fan in my youth and this was another funny flick lost in obscurity. probably one of Dirk Benedict's last movies.
- DirectorDavid FincherStarsSigourney WeaverCharles S. DuttonCharles DanceReturning from LV-426, Ellen Ripley crash-lands on the maximum-security prison Fiorina 161, where she discovers that she has unwittingly brought along an unwelcome visitor.I recently bought the "box set" of the "Alien" quadrilogy. It has the "Assembly Cut" version of this one. I enjoyed the theatrical cut as well. But the special ed. is really awesome!
- DirectorIvan ReitmanStarsArnold SchwarzeneggerDanny DeVitoKelly PrestonA physically perfect but innocent man goes in search of his long-lost twin brother, who is short, a womanizer, and small-time crook.Used to watch this all the time. 1st time I ever saw Arnold in a comedy.
- DirectorGuy HamiltonStarsFred WardJoel GreyWilford BrimleyAn officially "dead" cop is trained to become an extraordinary unique assassin in service of the US President. Not sure if other people even know about this movie. The Statue of Liberty scene is awesome!
- DirectorMark GoldblattStarsDolph LundgrenLouis Gossett Jr.Jeroen KrabbéWhen Frank Castle's family is murdered by criminals, he wages war on crime as a vigilante assassin known only as The Punisher. Not that bad. I enjoyed this as a kid because it was violent and funny. I didn't care that Castle didn't have his "Skull" logo. Lundgren did as good as Lundgren can do. And then there's Louis Gossett Jr.
- DirectorMark Steven JohnsonStarsBen AffleckJennifer GarnerColin FarrellA man blinded by toxic waste which also enhanced his remaining senses fights crime as an acrobatic martial arts superhero. The R rated Director's Cut is cool with a whole sub-story involving Coolio. Not sure why its rated R though. Affleck is cool as DD/Matt Murdock. Favreau's Froggy is a precursor to his Happy in the Iron Mans. M.C. Duncan kicked ass as Kingpin. Ferrell and Gardner pretty much sucked at their assigned Marvel characters. I think that's the real reason this movie was kind of a let down. Then again they made an Elektra movie as a follow-up. Soooo who knows.
