I cant say that much about this episode that already hasn't been said. It is considered by many to be one of the five best Simpsons episode period, let alone the best Treehouse of Horror episode. The Shinning was easily the best parody of any horror movie out there. And Time and Punishment is my favorite segment of any Treehouse of Horror ever. The shinning is close second. The last was decent, good but not great. - DirectorsBob AndersonDavid MirkinStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightA lightning storm causes giant advertising mascots to come to life; The children are terrorized by Groundskeeper Willie in their dreams; Homer finds himself trapped in another dimension.Segments - "Attack of the 50-Foot Eyesores", "Nightmare on Evergreen Terrace", "Homer³"

The Ned Zone was one of the better segment, in fact it is among my top 10 favorite Treehouse of Horror segments. In the Belly of the Boss however should be skipped. - DirectorsJim ReardonMatthew NastukStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightHomer must do one good deed to get into Heaven; Bart and Lisa encounter a witch in a gingerbread house; Super-intelligent dolphins strike back at humanity.Segments - "G-G-Ghost D-D-Dad", "Scary Tales Can Come True", "Night of the Dolphin."
- DirectorsJim ReardonSteven Dean MooreStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightFirst, Homer kills the Grim Reaper and takes his place in Reaper Madness. Then, Professor Frink's father is revived, only to kill people and steal their organs in Frinkenstein. Finally, Bart and Milhouse get a stop watch that can stop time in Stop the World, I Want To Goof Off.Segments - "Reaper Madness", "Frinkenstein", "Stop the World, I Want to Goof Off"
- DirectorsJim ReardonDavid SilvermanStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightHomer clones himself with a magic hammock; Zombie cowboys come back from the dead after Springfield bans guns; The Simpsons family take a vacation on an island where Dr. Hibbert can turn people into animals.Segments - "Send in the Clones", "The Fright to Creep and Scare Harms", "The Island of Dr. Hibbert."
The last segment of this episode was very strong, and it was particularly interesting to see which Simpsons character is which animal. - DirectorsMike B. AndersonSteven Dean MooreStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightA black hole threatens to swallow Springfield, Homer tries to find the source of paranormal activity, and a "Back to the Future" parody in which Bart keeps Marge from marrying Homer.Segments - "The Greatest Story Ever Holed", "UNnormal Activity"
"Bart & Homer's Excellent Adventure"
It was just average, nothing special. The first one with the black hole was fairly enjoyable. The others were just so and so. - DirectorsMike B. AndersonMark KirklandBob AndersonStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightThe Simpsons' 19th Halloween Special, with parodies of "Transformers," "Mad Men," and "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."Segments -"Untitled Robot Parody", "How to Get Ahead in Dead-vertising", "It's the Grand Pumpkin, Milhouse"
The last segment really saves it from being the worst episode. In fact this last segment was probably one of the best of newer age Halloween episode. - DirectorDavid SilvermanStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightAn android son replaces Bart; Homer and friends are the quarry in Mr. Burns' hunting tournament; a witch turns townsfolk into their Halloween costumes.Segments - "B.I.: Bartificial Intelligence", "Survival of the Fattest", "I've Grown a Costume on Your Face"
- DirectorsMike B. AndersonBob AndersonStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightA Satanic board game causes other popular board games to come to life, Homer and Marge rescue a possible killer and let him on their boat, and a parody of "Twilight" where Lisa falls for a young vampire.Segments - "War and Pieces", "Master and Cadaver", "Tweenlight"

Next, Krusty's latest fast-food sandwich transforms news anchor Kent Brockman into an enraged zombie and twenty-eight days later, cannibal zombies have overrun Springfield. In the final frightening fable, Homer accidentally falls through a trapdoor in Moe's tavern and impales himself on the pipes of Moe's microbrewery. Moe serves the barflies a glass of delicious beer flavored with Homer's blood and Homer, now half-man, half-brewing apparatus, returns for vengeance.Segments -" Dial 'M' for Murder or Press '#' to Return to Main Menu", " Don't Have a Cow, Mankind", "There's No Business Like Moe Business"
- DirectorsChuck SheetzMark KirklandStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightThe eighteenth Simpsons Halloween Special features parodies of the movies "E.T." and "Mr. and Mrs. Smith."Another very lazy episode. Segments - "E.T., Go Home", "Mr. & Mrs. Simpson", "Heck House." It seems that anything with E.T. in its title that doesn't have Spielbergs name attached to it is meant to suck, so is the case with E.T parody in this episode. Heck House was really the saving grace of this episode
- DirectorsMike B. AndersonMatthew FaughnanStarsDan CastellanetaJulie KavnerNancy CartwrightHomer takes a dangerous dive into an isolated canyon on Candy Peak, but when a crashing boulder traps his arm, he channels Aron Ralston to save himself. In "The Diving Bell and Butterball," the first of three hair-raising Halloween tales, a venomous spider bite leaves Homer paralyzed, but when Lisa discovers Homer's ability to communicate through natural gases, he is able to express his love for Marge. The killer spells continue in "Dial D for Diddly," when Ned Flanders, devout preacher by day, transforms into a cold-blooded vigilante by night. In the final terrifying tale, "In the Na'Vi," Bart and Milhouse are sent on a mission to obtain a sacred extract on a distant planet. They morph into the land's indigenous one-eyed avatars, but when Bart finds love and an eternal mate abroad, he is caught in planet warfare. This episode was absolutely the most terrible Treehouse of horror episode. "The Diving Bell and the Butterball", "Dial D for Diddly", "In the Na'Vi" were the three of the segments with Avatar parody segment being probably hands down the worst parody.
