Miranda Bailey and Ben Warren got engaged in the season 8 finale of "Grey's Anatomy". They begin making preparations for their wedding in season 9, but are currently in a long distance relationship when Ben applies to become a surgical intern in Los Angeles. Despite their separation, they continue making progress for their wedding, although Bailey has pre-wedding jitters, fearing her marriage might end in divorce, similar to her first. Thankfully, she is comforted and reassured by Richard and Bailey and Ben proceed to get married during the Christmas holidays halfway through the season. However, on the day of the wedding, Bailey performs an emergency surgery on Richard’s wife, Adele, forcing everyone to wait until Bailey arrives. Eventually, after Adele is saved, Bailey and Ben finally get married in a Winter Wonderland ceremony.
