Addison Forbes Montgomery and Jake Reilly got engaged halfway into the final season of "Private Practice". Following the love triangle from season 5, Addison made her decision and chose Jake. They began a serious romantic relationship where they moved in together and began parenting young baby Henry. Addison later realized she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Jake and proposed although it soon turned into an awkward situation when Jake didn't respond. Eventually after finally moving on from his late wife's death, Jake created a romantic setting and accepted Addison's proposal and they became engaged. Finally, after Henry's adoption was finalised, Addison and Jake got married with all their friends in attendance and became husband and wife in the series finale.
