- DirectorWoody AllenStarsWoody AllenDiane KeatonTony RobertsAlvy Singer, a divorced Jewish comedian, reflects on his relationship with ex-lover Annie Hall, an aspiring nightclub singer, which ended abruptly just like his previous marriages.
- DirectorHayao MiyazakiStarsDaveigh ChaseSuzanne PleshetteMiyu IrinoDuring her family's move to the suburbs, a sullen 10-year-old girl wanders into a world ruled by gods, witches and spirits, and where humans are changed into beasts.
- DirectorJohn CarneyStarsGlen HansardMarkéta IrglováHugh WalshA modern-day musical about a busker and an immigrant and their eventful week in Dublin, as they write, rehearse and record songs that tell their love story.
- DirectorSean BakerStarsBrooklynn PrinceBria VinaiteWillem DafoeA single mother and the manager of a roadside motel do their utmost to maintain the innocence of a six-year-old girl's life.Modern cinema got us used to typical narrative structures with character arcs and three or five act structures. This film has such charismatic characters that they make you forget that you have been watching them sitting down eating an ice cream for several minutes.
Many of the seventh art chapters are masterpieces where nothing much seems to happen. This film seems to be one of those type of films but feels to be an intimate exploration in such a lovable character's life. - DirectorAlfonso CuarónStarsMaribel VerdúGael García BernalDaniel Giménez CachoIn Mexico, two teenage boys and an older woman embark on a road trip and learn a thing or two about life and each other.
- DirectorWes AndersonStarsJared GilmanKara HaywardBruce WillisTwo 12-year-olds, who live on an island, fall in love with each other and elope into the wilderness. While people set out on a search mission, a violent storm approaching them catches their attention. The shot and the montage are the two primary languages of cinema. Cinematography is established on the principles of stunning and astounding the audience through moving visuals, in addition to its audio aspect. Wes Anderson understands how to capture such spirit in his films (he never fails to include a flawlessly constructed sound section). Moonrise Kingdom is a love letter to the seventh art, and it manages to create a tale for people of all ages and preferences thanks to its photography and bright colors.
- DirectorAaron SorkinStarsJessica ChastainIdris ElbaKevin CostnerThe true story of Molly Bloom, an Olympic-class skier who ran the world's most exclusive high-stakes poker game and became an FBI target. Many people may believe that Hollywood simply produces "commercial rubbish." That is not true. The Hollywood blockbuster industry is brimming with extremely gifted individuals who produce outstanding films. Aaron Sorkin stands out among these names. With this picture, one of the industry's greatest screenwriters makes his directorial debut, demonstrating that he still knows how to produce high-quality films.
- DirectorAlfred HitchcockStarsJames StewartGrace KellyWendell CoreyA bored photographer recovering from a broken leg passes the time by watching his neighbors and begins to suspect one of them of murder. We must return to the classics. Although it would be more practical to suggest Alfred Hitchcock's masterpiece Psycho (one of the foundational works of contemporary cinema), Rear Window is a more approachable and less clichéd suggestion for someone who is still unfamiliar with the great classics. Rear Window is a terrific classic to begin the world of cinema, with a somewhat more theatrical staging and some of the most documented faces in cinema.
- DirectorTim WardleStarsRobert ShafranMichael DomnitzHoward SchneiderIn 1980 New York, three young men who were all adopted meet each other and find out they're triplets who were separated at birth. But their quest to find out why turns into a bizarre and sinister mystery.Documentaries are often ignored as cinema. They capture true stories that frequently outperform fiction. More than one person will have chilly skin if three strangers are identical. They illustrate how, using the framework of a suspense thriller, this frequently overlooked genre offers several possibilities to examine.
- DirectorsFernando MeirellesKátia LundStarsAlexandre RodriguesLeandro FirminoMatheus NachtergaeleIn the slums of Rio, two kids' paths diverge as one struggles to become a photographer and the other a kingpin.
- DirectorRuben ÖstlundStarsJohannes KuhnkeLisa Loven KongsliClara WettergrenA family vacationing in the French Alps is confronted with a devastating avalanche.
- DirectorRobert AltmanStarsTim RobbinsGreta ScacchiFred WardA Hollywood studio executive is being sent death threats by a writer whose script he rejected, but which one?
- DirectorAlexandre O. PhilippeStarsMarli RenfroAlfred HitchcockTere CarrubbaAn unprecedented look at the iconic shower scene in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), the "man behind the curtain", and the screen murder that profoundly changed the course of world cinema.
- DirectorRobert AltmanStarsElliott GouldNina van PallandtSterling HaydenPrivate eye Philip Marlowe helps friend Terry Lennox out of a jam and is implicated in his wife Sylvia's murder. He also is hired by Eileen Wade to locate her dipsomaniac husband Roger, who frequently disappears when he wants to dry out.
- DirectorBjörn RungeStarsGlenn CloseJonathan PryceMax IronsA wife questions her life choices as she travels to Stockholm to see her husband receive the Nobel Prize for Literature.
- DirectorJohn GuillerminStarsPaul NewmanSteve McQueenWilliam HoldenAt the opening party of a colossal San Francisco skyscraper, a massive fire breaks out due to careless building practices by the contractor, threatening to destroy the tower and everyone in it.Las películas de desastres en los 70' estuvieron de moda, época de clásicos como "The Poseidon Adventure" y "Earthquake".
- DirectorAlfred HitchcockStarsLaurence OlivierJoan FontaineGeorge SandersA self-conscious woman juggles adjusting to her new role as an aristocrat's wife and avoiding being intimidated by his first wife's spectral presence.

- DirectorMartin ScorseseStarsRobert De NiroCathy MoriartyJoe PesciThe life of boxer Jake LaMotta, whose violence and temper that led him to the top in the ring destroyed his life outside of it.
- DirectorBrian De PalmaStarsAl PacinoMichelle PfeifferSteven BauerIn the 1980s, a determined criminal-minded Cuban immigrant becomes the biggest drug smuggler in Miami, and is eventually undone by his own drug addiction.
- DirectorStanley KubrickStarsJack NicholsonShelley DuvallDanny LloydA family heads to an isolated hotel for the winter, where a sinister presence influences the father into violence. At the same time, his psychic son sees horrifying forebodings from both the past and the future.Kubrick wanted to depict the lunacy of schizophrenia, therefore he went into the realm of fear to do it. There are no shadows or darkness to frighten the audience this time; instead, the visage of Jack Nicholson leaves some of cinema's most indelible sequences. A masterwork in which the supernatural helps to bring a story based on Stephen King's best-seller to an end.
- DirectorJohn CarpenterStarsKurt RussellWilford BrimleyKeith DavidA research team in Antarctica is hunted by a shape-shifting alien that assumes the appearance of its victims.
